Division Six - I : Unfortunate Son

Postby Tarnen » Sun Jan 20, 2019 10:19 pm

Division Six, Conference Room 303 Sublevel 2
Agent Marks sat there reading through the case file as his superior continued to drone on about the case he has read through many times before. To his left was one of his junior agents, Bariel or Barry as he liked to be called, a fallen angel who sat there staring without blinking at the Deputy Director continued. He drummed his fingers becoming impatient, he hated meetings they always seemed go on forever, and Marks has been stuck in a time loop once or twice before.

Deputy Director Anderson called out to Caleb "You alright son, I've called on you several times already."

"Yes sir." He said straightening his tie as he got up clearing his throat. "Now at first glance this seems to be a simple lower class demon case. Possession, wreak havoc, kill a few innocent people, leave and repeat. But judging on how the victims don't remember their time as possess even when we get ahold of them suggests..."

Immediately he was cut off by another voice in the room, someone who was not even in the room a second ago "He's doing at for a ritual." Belial was sitting in one of the chairs in the corner of room as several agents pulled out their weapons, John simple stared at the demon "Belial." He said he name with venom. "John so glad to see you again." He smiled looking at the others rolling his eyes as he pulled up his sleeve "I have it on, no need to get your knickers in a bunch." A silver bracelet with ancient marking on it ensuring he couldn't use most of his powers. "Now word on the grapevine is that is the work of Baal, a high ranking demon,a so called prince of Hell."

The Deputy cleared his throat. "Yes well, Belial is going to work on this case with you John. I'm sorry but he is the best lead we got, and one of the only demons willing to work with us."
"For a price, sir." He looked back at Belial his hand unconsciously on his pistol. "Consider this an act of good faith. Whatever he got planned can't be good for Hell, a nasty can of worms you don't want open." He looked at the angel. "Nice bird you got there John."

"You have your orders gentlemen, dismissed." John immediately walked out of the room banging Barry following several steps behind like a puppy as they made there way to the gun range, it was the only way he would release his anger. "John?" Barry said quietly as he watched him pull out his gun and shoot the target almost dead center several times. Reloading and continued shutting out everything around him. "Ooo put have rubbed him the wrong way didn't I?" Belial appearing beside Barry cracking a smile. Barry sighed this was going to be a stressful case to work.

Kasim al-Fadhli
Division 6 Headquarters: Conference Room 3 Sublevel 2

"Sir? You wished to see me?" The young vampire peeked his head through the door after knocking on it a couple of times...if it was open, that usually was an invitation. Or at least it wasn't a direct refusal in any case. Stepping in he noticed a familiar face in agent Barry, and one that was quite...less familiar. "Barry, how're things going?! I haven't seen you since our last case together, man!" He walked inside the room, shutting the door behind him and saw how Agent Marks looked...quite bored as anybody would be after a long meeting. However, this didn't seem like a normal, boring meeting. "So, is there anything specific you wanted me for, or...?" His honey-gold eyes swept over all the beings in the room, the stranger with the silver bracelet smelled...off. Demon, I'd know it anywhere. And a high-ranking one too judging by the scent in his blood, what's one of him doing here? Things must seriously be going down if this guy is in HQ, Mom is gonna want to know about the presence of somebody this powerful. Even if I can't tell her directly, she'll likely find out herself anyway. Like she finds out everything. Sometimes I swear this woman is psychic.

Bethlehem.., Pennsylvania

It was morning, in a little house on Columbine, across the street from the Catholic Church of Nortre Dame in Bethlehem. Salachel arose from the night's meditation. The angel, who's name, roughly translated, meant, "The Lord Has Forgiven", didn't need to sleep. Still, she found the meditation refreshing. It was also a period that her vessel, Chloe Clark, who was aware of the angel's activities, might sleep and disconnect from the things that her soul was witnessing.

Chloe believed in what Salachel was doing on Earth. She enjoyed the presence of the angel that had taken residence and control of her body. Her soul was content, most of the time, to be a witness and learn. Also, even after seventy-plus years together, Salachel still needed her advice when it came to 'acting human'. For the most part, however, Chloe was a silent partner.

Salachel looked about the bedroom of the house, a critical human might describe the home as 'spartan', but not severely so. The angel had become accustomed to the familiar furnishings that Chloe had helped her acquire. In each of the rooms, along with the tables and chairs, there was at least one small item that spoke of a devotion to God.

Now, Salachel, clothed her vessel in the usual style of a black skirt suit with a white blouse. The cut changed with the current fashion of the times, but it was always professional looking. The angel then checked it's vessel's appearance in a full length mirror. The tall slender body, the blue eyes in the pleasant face crowned with platinum blond hair was, in an alien way, more than satisfactory to the angel, who was in a way an alien.

Feeling that all was in place, Salachel transported to the private detective office that the angel maintained in nearby Allentown. Once there, it retrieved a small metal box that it had engraved some protective sigils upon. While the angel could have easily destroyed the enchanted rabbit's foot inside the box, one shouldn't needlessly destroy something that was not evil in itself but only a tool. It simply needed to be kept in a safe place.

Now, holding the box, Salachel transported to a relatively secluded spot, just outside the New York City building that housed Division Six. The angel had heretofore avoided contact with the organization, but, with the rabbit's foot, considered it the best option for safe storage.

Salachel walked to the entrance and waited to be invited in. The wards about the building were quite impressive, so the angel decided not to simply go inside, but wait for an invitation.

Jack Florence
325 Maple Avenue
White Plains, NY, America

"Jack!" Beverly exclaimed, hugging her brother-in-law. "You finally made it!" "Indeed I did," Jack replied, smiling. "I had to work my ass off convincing my boss to give me a day off," Jack replied. Jack's nephew, George, appeared at the door. "Uncle Jack!" he exclaimed. "It's been so long." "It really has, kid," Jack said. Nonstop cases had been keeping Jack away from the weekly Sunday get-togethers for a couple months. "So, how are you?" Jack asked. "Well..." "Ryan and I are engaged," Jack's niece, Anne, said. "Ryan?" Jack asked. Ryan was a nice guy, but in the case that someone tried to attack his family again, Ryan wouldn't be that good of a protector. "I'm proud," Jack said, hiding his doubts under a smile.

"I got KFC... is that alright?" Beverly asked. "Sure," Jack replied, although he had recently busted a KFC that was actually a front for a coven of voodoo witches who were trying to make an elixir of immortality using the restaurant's trademarked mix of eleven herbs and spices as well as much less savory materials.

On the way to the dinner table, Jack passed by a bookshelf with the Harry Potter books lined up against them. He was never a fan himself, but Anne and George used to love it. Nobody thought of the book as anything more than fiction, but there was more truth to the books than met the eye - something that the author had probably never even intended.

Jack sat down, and settled into a nice meal. For once, he didn't have to worry about witches and werewolves, deities or demons. He could just enjoy life as it used to be. The family talked about their ordinary lives.

Just as Jack was reaching for the last piece of chicken, his work phone rang in his pocket. "Sorry, I have to take this," Jack replied, stepping into another room.

"Not the best time," Jack said. "It's not the best time for any of us," Deputy Director Anderson replied. Jack sighed in frustration. The second highest-ranking man in the Division was breathing down his neck; Jack knew that he wouldn't have much of a say in the matter. "Rumor has it that Baal, a powerful demon, is starting to meddle in earthly affairs." "What is he doing?" Jack asked. "The usual," Anderson replied. "But we fear it won't stay that way for long." Jack sighed. "We already have a team set up, but let's just say that their chemistry is a bit off." "So you want me to-" "Your complaints are futile, Jack. See you at HQ." And with that, Anderson hung up. After almost silently releasing a string of obscenities, Jack walked back to the dining room. "I have to go. Something came up." "At least you came," Beverly said, standing up and hugging Jack. George and Anne followed. "Not yet, son," Jack said, sensing that Ryan was moving close. Ryan stepped back and sat down. "When's the wedding?" Jack asked Anne. "We don't know yet," Anne said. "Fair enough," Jack said. "Well, I'd best be going. Goodbye." And with that, he left.

Division 6 HQ
New York City, New York. USA

"Long time no see." "It's been a day, Howard," Jack replied, exasperated. "Can't you take a joke?" Howard asked. "Not when I haven't seen my family in two months and Anderson tears me away just to work on another case." "The Baal one?" Howard asked. "Yup," Jack replied. "Rumor has it that the best and brightest are working on it. They even brought in Belial for this one... with the restraining bracelet, of course." "Belial?" Jack asked. His capture was the talk of the Division back when Jack was a fresh recruit into the Division. They were finally using him. Howard nodded. "I have to go," Jack said. "See you around." "As with you," Howard replied.

Go to Sublevel 2, Conference Room 303, a voice said inside his head. Jack hated telepathy - he had never gotten quite used to it. "Shut up," Jack replied. Not even a thank you? Jack ignored the voice, stepping into an elevator with a werewolf. "Where are you headed?" the werewolf asked. "Anderson told me I had to work on the Baal case," Jack replied. "I would consider that a privilege," the werewolf said. The doors slid open to reveal Sublevel 2. Jack stepped out. "Good luck on the case," the werewolf said, as the elevator doors closed behind him.

I made a mistake; they're at the gun range, the voice said. "I said shut up," Jack said. We just want you to know where you are going. Jack walked into the gun range. He looked around, looking at the team. Some of them he had worked with, some of them not. He immediantly saw the angel and the demon. No wonder there wasn't much chemistry.

"Hello," Jack said. "I'm Jack Florence, a human. I'll be working with you on this case."

Emily Brose/Mephistopheles
“Emily! Are you quite done yet, I want to go to the Division headquarters!” A man with long black hair called out to the woman sitting cross-legged in the middle of the living room, muttering as she read from what was quite obviously a spellbook. “No, I’m NOT done yet, Meph! Instead of bitching at me, make yourself useful and I dunno...help clean the house or something?!”

“Do I look like your gods-damned maid?”
“Not much of one, no. But you are my gods-damned familiar, and we’re stuck together so you’re bound to me! Technically you have to do what I say.”
“I’ll renounce Hell and start praying to God first.”

“Whatever. Now I need quiet to finish this locator spell!” Her Scottish accent was still very apparent as she had only been in America for a couple of years. Then as if suddenly realizing something, the witch put down her book and looked up at him, still as surly as ever in either form he takes. “One, I want to know how we’re you going to get into D6 HQ in the first place? Two, I want to know why you want in there FOR? We’re not agents, I’m a shopkeep they occasionally buy magical shit from. We don’t have clearance.”
“You have magic, I have demonic influence...diminished though it may be. We could break in.”
“This is Division 6, ain’t no breakin’ in! We’d be fucked before we even got a hole in the wall! Anyway, WHY would you risk something like that?! The court of Hell would likely extend your sentence...”
“DON’T remind me of those clowns, okay?! Anyway, I was walking by the building and I sensed a strong demonic presence. I think it may be one of the bastards who banished me to Earth, if you will. What are YOU trying to locate?”
“The Philosopher’s Stone, duh!”
Meph snorted, rolling his eyes. “That old human legend...”
“It’s REAL, thank you! And I’m going to find it...when I do, I shall be the most powerful witch alive.”

“Why not create one yourself?”
“I was never that good at alchemy, asshat.”

ok i got some spare time, i guess I'll be making this

Chameleon 40
Bronx

"Sh**, sh**, sh**, how could I knew it would end like this" thought to himself a 28-year man rushing down a street, police sirens were heard behind him, the man jumped over a garden fence and went to the backyard of whoever was living in the house he was before.

"Sliding door, no silver elements, great," said the man quietly to himself, after that he unlocked the door and went looking for anybody in the house, he finally encountered what seemed like a bedroom, an 36 old man was lying in, "Wake up," he said to the person lying.

"Who is in my room!" The man jumped out of the bed and looked at him, "Quiet, and I'll make it quick".

"You are not taking me alive!" The man pulled out a gun, he charged into him, they both fell on the floor, the man apprehended him for a split-second and managed to take a shot.

The pain was enormous, his body started to change, repeating all his previous disguises, the man looked perplexed but when the one from 1997 was visible the man said, "Chameleon 40", finally the pain stopped, he was in his first form when was the time he used it, even he didn't remember, but since the pain stopped he now had the victory, just one thing, he needed to pull out the bullet first..

He tackled the man once again and knocked him unconscious with a swift punch, now he put his hand into the wound and pulled out the bullet, now the ability to which he owed his life came back to him, as the man was slowly waking he put his hand over his face and started the transformation process, he saw memories of this man, strange, unusual memories, and it stopped now he knew what the man was saying about Chameleon 40, he now knew everything

" Division Six "

" You, Brandon is it right, you tried to catalog me, my species, my kind, now watch as this work and your beloved organization burn!"
The little bird whistled to my ear
Blow on the wind
I blew into the wind stronger than i could
Wind packed a punch into my chest
~ me trying to make something fun for signature circa. 1 a.m

Ankar Wijaya - Naga
Jackson Heights, Queens, NYC

Stretching his body for a while, Ankar looked up at the old clock in his room, putting the old encyclopedia he just read on the dining table. I've been reading for two hours, huh? He thought, slightly confused. But it doesn't feel that long...let's just check the phone for now...

Indeed, after spending hundreds of years on this world, time tends to flow endlessly, without border, without limit. It's as if the event that actually happened some ten years back was just happened yesterday. Most of the time it feels boring, watching the humans played the same drama everyday. But well, what a supposedly supernatural, mythological creature can say? They are humans, after all. Although honestly, sometimes they can be entertaining.

Yawning, Ankar walked towards the small bed at the other side of the room. He had been lucky to find this studio apartment when he first arrived in New York City so suddenly, without any long term plan. It's not really costly, and at least, the neighbourhood is thankfully quite. Now after five years living in there, he doesn't feel the need to search for other place to live in. It's not that he need a larger house for the time anyway.

Ankar carefully picked up his work phone that he had put on his bed after he woke up that morning. He knows that he should bring the thing everywhere he goes, in case the Division is calling, but he just feels lazy for today. After the Virginia case, where a young Indonesian student was possessed by a vengeful ghost and then tried to kill her roommate with multiple knives God knows she got from where, he practically needed to take a rest, at least mentally.
His eyebrows rose slightly when he looked at the screen.

"Oh well, gotta go then." He mumbled. "Affairs with demon, hmm? Interesting."

Division 6 Headquarters, NYC

Ankar stepped out from the yellow New York taxi. Trying to show his best attempt at smiling, he gave the driver the tips and mumbled some 'thank yous'. After checking his phone back, the young man walked straight into the main entrance. After exchanging some hellos with a co-worker, he entered the elevator and pressed the button.
Sublevel 2
After the door opened, Ankar walked to the direction of the conference room. He saw from another man entered the room. The man seems like just an ordinary human, he took a mental note. It has already began, then

Waiting for some minutes, he then entered the conference room. There are already several....creatures, a mix of angels, demons, and humans in the room. He knew some of them, but they are not exactly close to each other. So Belle is not there, he thought, thinking about the vampire colleague who previously worked together with him in many cases. It's then that he noticed the human he saw before....his name seems to be Jack Florence, if he heard correctly. Ah, well.

"Hi. My name is Ankar Wijaya, a naga. It seems that we'll be working together. Pleasure to meet you." He slightly bowed, then headed towards a nearby empty chair.

Jäger Brandt

Postby Woods Is Back » Mon Jan 21, 2019 5:11 pm

New York City, New York, USA

The gunshots are wringing out again. Jäger Brandt, a 19 year old German immigrant hid in an alleyway in a place unknown to him, which was New York City. The footsteps grew closer, and he bent down picking up the exhaust pipe from a destroyed car. He could see the whites of the men’s eyes... The they were upon him. With a spin on his heel and a flick of a wrist, one agent was down. Turning to the next, he was shocked to see such a brute of a man. The man knocked him aside as if he was nothing, and went straight for his bag. “No, no, not the bag”, Jäger thought to himself. The next thing he knew, he was unconscious.

When he woke up he was in a cell, with 3 different agents trying to question him, and he knew this was not going to end well...

Gotta go, finish this later

Barry noticed Kasim as he acknowledged him "Hi Kasim. Thing are going good. Although John doesn't like the current situation were in. He has a thing about working with demons. Actually not really a thing he just wants to send them back to Hell or kill them. I believe he prefers the latter." He looked at John who glared back at the angel gave him an awkward smile.

Salachel
New York City, New York
Division Six HQ Building

Salachel regarded the two humans momentarily. All business, no manners. But the angel reconsidered, just because they're paranoid doesn't mean that something's not after them. Still, the implied threat rankled a bit.

What was also disturbing was the fact that the magical wards were now even stronger to the effect that Salachel might not be able to exit the building at the angel's own discretion.

The angel and vessel moved impossibly gracefully and smoothly as directed. The three of them then entered an elevator. The doors and the car moved very slowly, but then everything mortal was slow in the angel's perception. Salachel felt the car begin to descend and said to her human guides, "Be not afraid." It was an old line, but it had a history of working with much more primitive humans.

Salachel hoped that the guides might feel less fearful and was going to gauge their reaction when the angel 'felt' the familiar presence of another angel, not far away....

Barry stopped look at the door for a second, something or someone was drawing him to them. Something almost familiar he could sense, somebody like him. He excused himself as he walked down the hallway, following the almost unconscious ping in his head closer to the source stopping at the elevator watching as it descended to the level he was on.

The two agents looked at one another before staring forward as the elevator stop at the second sub level. "You'll be meeting with the Deputy Director, as he ask you a few questions and taking the artifact in your possession for catalog."

Belial watched as the angel left the room he followed closely behind staying behind the corner as he watched the angel stare at the elevator. "Curious..." the demon continued to watch.

"Well nobody likes working with demons...some of the people I know don't mind it and most can't stand it but we have to do what we have to do for the case. Although in my situation, most view my kind as no better than a demon anyway." Kasim spoke to his sometime case-partner. "Although old Marks should be quite used to it by now, demons are some of the more common and milder occurrences that we end up dealin' with in this line of work...Barry? Hey man, you okay?" Kasim saw the angel seem to go into an almost thrall-like state, before walking out of the room and walked down the hallway, getting on the elevator and disappearing just like that. The demon muttered something about the curiousness of the situation and Kasim shrugged. "He's never acted like that before, first time I've seen it. So what now? Do we proceed without him, follow him or...?"

A woman who appeared to be in her early to mid-50s at least but had aged gracefully, with dark skin and a lion's mane of brown curls streaked with gray, her hazel eyes provided a stark contrast to the rest of her look. The pendant she wore helped keep the glamour spell in place for longer and with less effort than without it, but it was still not easy to keep it up which is why she didn't use it all the time. Her son was with the Division, probably on some case...maybe she could go to that little Emily's shop and buy some new ingredients. That would be a productive use of her time instead of simply sitting around all day, but she'd have to make it quick so she could go home and drop this glamour. Stupid rules.

Casiphia al-Fadhli

Unknown Location
Ambrosio.

Ambrosio appeared around the corner noticing Casi seemed unusually mobile for this part of the day. Normally they were often deep in magical thought, and ritual...it comes with them being an undead being such as a lich. Still, Division Six made a practice for beings or just regular old humans to keep each other company. Ever since Casi had an embarrassing incident of de-glamourizing in front of a bunch of protesting fundamentalists Ambrosio keeps an eye on her. It's useful to be able to manipulate people enough to make them think what they saw was merely an illusion. You can convince even the most uptight, and sober people they just might have accidentally had a drink or two if the right pressure is applied.

Ambrosio smiled and spoke up "I...know that look" he said as Casi frowned at spotting him. Ambrosio spoke back up "Listen...with your glamour spell as hard to maintain as it is...you have to have someone with you...unless you want a repeat with the fundamentalists like last time". Ambrosio softly chuckled "As funny as that was...we should at least attempt to keep a masquerade even if it means undercutting peoples privacy...sorry Casi". Ambrosio put his hands back in his pocket, and then softly smiled at the Lich. Despite their portrayal in most media not all of them were power hungry maniacs out to devour souls.

Casi felt a familiar presence just to the side of her as she walk and a frown came over her face when she realized who it was...the half-reaper Ambrosio. Not that she had anything against the young man specifically, he was kind enough. In fact, he reminded her of her son. However; that doesn’t change the fact that she hadn’t planned on being tailed today. She turned around long enough to let Ambrosio explain and actually looked slightly amused at the thought of somebody needing to babysit her. “That was one time!” She said at the mention of her glamour spell failing and then said: “I appreciate your thoughtfulness, Ambrosio. But I’m seven hundred years old, I can quite handle myself. In fact, I doubt that I’ll even buy things heavy enough to need help carrying them.” They chatted until they arrived at the familiar storefront, she raised a hand to open the door. “Kasim’s at HQ, at least that’s where he told me he was going to be. You’ve seen him today, or have you not gotten the chance?” She kept the door closed while asking the question, then she opened it. The place was lined with jars filled with things both strange and familiar, while in an adjoining room one could see bookshelves. Charms of protection hung from the ceiling, and Emily was behind the counter putting away a particularly large and heavy black book.

“Miss Brose.” She just managed to slide it into an empty space before turning around to see a familiar face...Casiphia, a woman (lich?) after her own heart. “Ah, you’ve arrived! I wondered when you’d come, Casi. Arsenic, eye-of-newt? Or perhaps a rare spellbook to add to your collection? And unfortunately no, we haven’t gotten the Necronomicon yet.” The younger witch joked and Casi actually smiled and laughed as if she still had facial muscles, well at least the world thought she did due to her disguise. “None of that, Emily. I’m just looking around today.”
“Well, if you find anythin’ let me know.” Shaking black hair out of her face, Emily lit a cigarette and placed it to her lips, eyes widening as if remembering something. “Meph! You lazy demon, have the new amulets come in yet?!” A frowning face peered at her from the back. “No, just like they haven’t when you asked an hour ago!”
“Whatever.” She sheugged and turned back to her customers, while the other figure had retreated back to whatever he was doing.

Salachel
Division Six HQ
New York City, New York

The elevator stopped it's descent. Whoever Salachel had sensed was coming closer and had likely also sensed Salachel's presence. The elevator doors began to open and recognition of the figure standing there was instantaneous. It was Bariel. Of course, Bariel was inside a vessel that Salachel had never seen before, but for angels a vessel was like a suit of clothing. The vessel clothed angel's body, but not it's identity. At least not from other angels.

Salachel smiled. Before leaving Heaven, Salachel had liked Bariel. With a gesture of greeting, Salachel said, "Peace be with you, Bariel."

a quick escalation

Chameleon 40 disguised as Brandon Edincot, Divisions researcher.
Division Six entrance

The building look abandoned but those who were supposed to know it's true identity will know where to go and so did he to purge any data of Shifters activity, ever recorded, even though it was maniacal, suicidal task he still wanted to do it, he just needs to not get close to silver, he slipped through an opening in a chain fence surrounding the building, "The database should be on 3rd sublevel" he said to himself, and so he went to the nearest elevator, everything as Brandon Edincot remembered.

"1st sublevel" read the digits when the elevator stopped and young women, Jill Prescot went into it, "Good day Brandon," she said ", " Good Day Jill" they bought said to each other, " Where are you going?" asked Jill "To Database, i need some information from there", they both then stood in silence, Jill finally departed on 2nd sublevel, he now was on his own.

"3rd sublevel", he departed for the database, when he got there he found an eye scanner but fortunately someone was passing by, "Hey, could you help with the eye scanner, it doesn't seem to work, what a stupid machine", he asked the passerby, " Yeah, oh okay", as the person was scanning his eye he felt a pain, the amount of silver in the HQ was finally taking a toll on him, the delete needed to be done ,quick.

And now the door was unlocked, the secrets laid before him and he was to destroy them, he jumped to the keyboard but a flash nearly blinded him, he managed to stumble out of the database as the door closed and flashes of red light were everywhere a mechanical voice read, "Warning, Malicious Shifter activity on 3rd sublevel" over and over.

"Sh**, i didn't think about them installing eye scan system on comps too", he thought to himself while racing to get to either stairs or elevators, or for a handgun...

Barry looked at Salachel smiling at her for a second, before the alarms were blasting around them. The agents by her side stood in front of her as they held their guns out yelling into their ear pieces "Sub level 2 is on lockdown!" Barry gestured for Salachel to following him to a near by office her she could stay in.

Belial looked around as he slip to the stairway going down to the next sub level. An agent standing at the door stopped him. "You're not going anywh-" the demon flicked his fingers sending the man flying down the stairwell. The bracelet may have dampened alot of his powers but he still had a little left to knock out somebody. He slipped into the sub level 3. Running into somebody who look like they where trying to make their escape. "So you're the one who tripped the alarm." He could hear shouting coming from down the hallway. "You want to get out of here yeah?" He pulled out a gun aiming at the man before pointing the gun at his own shoulder pulling the trigger. He winced at the sudden sharp pain before Belial aimed it at the door to the stairwell shooting the rest of the bullets into it before handing it to the shifter. The agents stopped where the demon and the shifter where at. Belial slumped to the floor "He went up the stairwell he knocked another agent out." The agent rushed out the door leaving the two alone for a minute.

The demon looked at the shifter "Take this off I cant touch it." He motioned to the magically imbued bracelet "And I can get us out of here proof! Deal?" He smiled "I would hurry up I do here more coming."

Ambrosio

Inside Emily's Shop

As they chatted along the way Ambrosio remarked "It's not so much about handling yourself as it is about preventing a breach in the masquerade. We were lucky there weren't that many people there whose minds I had to mess with, but since then command is clear. I think Kasim got called up to the deputy directors office...they have a guest today it seems". Ambrosio had a decent nose on him and could smell demons miles away in part due to his experience with them. As both Casi, and Ambrosio entered the store he let her wander around before chuckling at something.

"Didn't they ever tell you that smoking is a bad habit...though I suppose for you the rules are bit different aren't they?" Ambrosio smiled as Emily sarcastically laughed remarking "what a funny man you are". Of course, if she were a normal human he most likely would chastise her since smoking kills more than enough people as it is. With witches, things were a bit different since they lived longer hell some reportedly could live for several centuries before age started to hit them like a rock. Regardless Emily was only half-witch so she didn't get the full benefits of bloodline, but at least she didn't have to worry about going crazy like some of the bloodlines do (due to incest).

“I suppose you’re right.” Casi shrugged at the agent and then she nodded at the news of Kasim.

In Emily’s shop, the witch chuckled at Ambrosio’s comment about her bad habit of smoking. “Sir, you should see my personal life. I am the queen of bad habits.” You all know Mephistopheles, correct?” Emily asked, turning to Casi who was putting some of the last of the items she wanted in the cloth bag she carried with her during these times. “Your familiar slash roommate slash fuck buddy? Yeah, I know him.” the lich said, placing the items on the counter as Emily scanned each one. She had one of those hand-scanners, but it was faster than typing in each and every price and nobody had time for that. “He was banished from Hell for high treason so I’m stuck with him.”
“Don’t talk about me like I’m not here!”
“We all know you’re here, man!” Meph and Emily briefly went back and forth before Emily typed something into the cash register and the price came up. “That’ll be $27.54. By the way, is my amulet finished yet? And maybe I can find something that’ll help you actually maintain your glamor spell without all the strain, although your magical knowledge is far more vast than mine.”
Emily had commissioned Cas to enchant an amulet for her, something that would strengthen her necromancy powers among other features. “Yeah, the enchantment needs toresr for one more night in order to complete, so you can either pick it up or I’ll drop it off at your place tomorrow.” She handed Emily the money, who smiled. “Excellent, now enjoy our day.”
“Thanks, you too.” Casi dropped her voice to a whisper and leaned over to the younger woman. “I do hope you’re being careful, Em. I had my fun as a younger woman too...but you do know what could result with one slip-up...”
“A..cambion? Yeah, I’m well aware. I’m preventing that because I ain’t ready to be a mum. But such a child would be wicked powerful...I’m not worried about the possibility much.” She waves at Ambrosio and Casi as the disguised lich walked out of the shop to go home, slowing down to wait on Ambrosio.

Salachel raised an eyebrow as the alarms sounded and Bariel directed her to an empty office. Apparently it was the wrong day to entrust this mortal organization with the potentially dangerous magical item.

"How long have you worked with the humans, here, Barial," asked Salachel. Then, "Do these Security breaches happen very often. And I hear there are some rather 'unsavory' characters that I wouldn't be inclined to put much trust in...."

Salachel walked over to a chair and primly sat. Then the angel crossed the vessel's long legs. Chloe had taught Salachel that 'a lady' sat with her knees very close together or sat with her legs crossed, if they weren't covered by a table or such. The crossing of the legs was more comfortable, for some reason that Salachel didn't quite understand.

Then Salachel had a thought, when meeting old acquaintances, Chloe had taught the angel about social niceties, "Please, Bariel, excuse my manners. How have you been?"

Ankar Wijaya
Conference Room, Sublevel 2
Division 6 Headquarters, NYC

Minutes before the alarms went off, Ankar adjusted himself on a comfy leather chair just at the other side of the room, silently watching the other agents discussing various things - however, most of the conversations would end up containing the word "Belial", "demon" and "shapeshifters".

I did receive the notifications about the current problems...well, the outline, to be exact. He thought. However....

Suddenly he felt something is not right. These feelings....
And then the alarms went off like crazy.

"Now, what's is this," Ankar muttered as he rose. "Better not be some attacks."
He brushed his gaze throughout the room, analyzing the situation, and made some eye contacts with the other agents. Apparently they are just as clueless as he is.

He readied his weapon, a small taser he put in the pocket at the right side of his black trouser. Better moving.

Now that he already ran towards the nearby lift, Ankar began to activate his telepathy link, analyzing the situation through the minds of his colleagues. He sensed confusion, fear....

Closing his eyes, he began to widen his area of reach. Widen, and widen, until he reached the lower level. He could sense some movements, and the shapes from various creatures below. The naga tried to penetrate the nearest one his mind could reach.
Something is clicked inside, and it's not a good one. Ankar opened his eyes in slight surprise.
Malicious shapeshifter activities in sublevel 3?
"Damn it, I know that those creatures are better not to be trusted. Should I go to that place or....."

Suddenly he stopped midrun. Something is bothering his nose. Its tip twitched.
Why do I just noticed this now? Ankar quickly moved into the shadows, resting his back on the wall, looking warily at the corridor. This smells like....blood?
He sighed. Well, well, now what exactly happened?

The naga didn't really hope that once he began to work there, everything is going to be normal, not in the human sense, at least. But this one seems like a dangerous ordeal.

His brown eyes turned into goldish as its pupil narrowed into a black slit, just like snakes he once sees in human made movies or zoos. The powers of naga, the gift of Batara Guru, began to roar inside him, effectively strengthening his magical abilities.
Maybe I should contact a person on a sublevel below me, just to check the situation....

He closed his eyes for a while, trying to look into whoever's mind he can came into contact ASAP. In his mind, the connection went from door to door, like cables, until he reached a certain office. The young man sensed two presence there. They certainly are not humans or only partially humans, by the aura, and...

Salachel?

Though a little bit surprised by her sudden presence, he tried to make a telepathy contact.
"Excuse me, Mme. Salachel. I hope I don't disturb your meeting, but there is an emergency that I believe you have already known. Do you need any reinforcement down there?"

Salachel soon felt the presence of another old 'friend' touch her mind.

It was Ankar, a naga, a being of two shapes, that of a typical mortal human with the other a combination of man and giant snake. He was the one who had told Salachel about Division Six in the first place.

Salachel briefly used the line of communication that had been open. "Thank you, Ankar, but no. I am currently with Bariel. I am not yet trusted by the people here and he seems to think that this is not my business. We can talk, later."

Salachel returned it's attention to Bariel and asked, Do you need to respond to the alarm? I can remain here, or return at a more convenient time in the future."

Salachel frowned. Maybe this wasn't a coincidence? Ankar and Bariel and trouble intersecting with this event. Was it something The Lord had put in place and planned to happen? If it wasn't then the angel felt it's present choice of action was acceptable.... If it was The Lord that led her here today, then Salachel hoped to play it's part and that it's role would soon be revealed.

Division Six, Conference Room 303 Sublevel 2
A tall man, dressed in the grey feldbluse that was standard to the soldiers of Prussia-Poland, came in, his hob-nailed jackboots ringing out against the floor.
He brusquely pushed opened the door and entered. "Morning, you all. I was supposed to report here, yes?"

" What other choice do I have?" He asked without wanting an answer, they both knew he must accept the deal if he wants to get out of there alive, "I accept the deal, just don't take my soul", he said to the demon then he grabbed the bracelet and pulled it from his arm.

"the pain!" He screamed as the bracelet nullified his powers, he started to go back through his previous disguises and then he managed to throw away the bracelet, now he was in his original form.

"Ok, we're getting out of here or not"...

"Oh believe me your soul's worthless, I might have use for you." He pulled out his cellphone calling a number "Yeah its me. The 3rd sub-level of the Division Six building." He hung up the phone "And our ride is here." Just as a reaper appeared behind them placing his hands on their shoulders as they were instantaneously transported out of Division Six, and appeared in front of Emily's shop. "Useful to have a reaper on the payroll, one of the few true neutral beings left to come and go from the building. Thank you Charon." Belial handed him a few gold coins "You know where the rest are." The reaper nodded as it disappeared. "So why would a shifter like yourself be doing in one of the most guarded place on Earth?"

Barry closed the door to the office they were in "Almost about a year now. They really don't." He said yelling over the alarms outside "I guess somebody thought they could walk right in." He looked out the window seeing agents about scrambling here and there. "Well anybody the Division trust make sure there are security measures put in place to make sure were not at risk. Such as the demon a magical bracelet that nullifies his abilities. He can take it off himself, plus there are camera everywhere everybody is being watched." He sat down "I have been doing good, Earth is a strange place as is being in a vessel. Human emotions are...messy."
