Like how Nike signed Kaepernick and liberals fawned over them, forgetting all about their exploitative sweatshop labor, thinking that buying Nike shoes is now an act of social responsibility. It's just a tactic, just as Chic-fil-a's CEO being openly homophobic (because he knew LGBTQ people would call for a boycott but that would result in right-wingers going out of their way to buy more Chic-fil-a) is a tactic. Some companies bet that pissing off the right while appealing to the left will result in a net gain of customers, others make the opposite bet, but in the end it all comes down to increasing revenue.

Honestly the backlash this video has been getting is just silly, they have completely missed the point of the video.

Maybe people are less annoyed over the message than, you know, being lectured to by a company that makes sharp things.

You don't see the issue with this video. There are dozens of flavors of asshole who will see a problem with this video. Pick-up-artists, bullies, people who consider women their properly, rapists, delusional american conservatives with a persecution complex.... the list goes on. Besides, how are these poor oppressed guys going to take advantage of women if said women are more careful and more willing to speak up against harassment? Such anti-harassment messages make their job harder.Scomagia wrote:They should save the preaching and stick to hawking their products. Commercials stopped being about the product more than 50 years ago. Maybe you just don't like the message?
