Does your Nations leader deliver a Christmas message?

Postby San Lumen » Tue Dec 25, 2018 6:22 am

In San lumen the monarch broadcasts a Christmas message from Peles Castle with the Royal Christmas tree as a backdrop. The message often consists of a reflection on major events of the past year with the sovereign's own personal milestones and feelings on Christmas. In addition each year has a overall theme

Ours tells seven-year olds that Santa is a Palestinian plot and that it should all be relative. All jokes aside, the prime minister normally delivers a Christmas message on the 24th

Christmas is not observed in Ghost Land as secularism is mandated by law, although there is a Gift Day message on 25 December each year where the leader gives a fictionalized account of what has happened in the past year, with everything spun around to sound positive or else conveniently avoided entirely. Traditionally, he dresses up in a furry black suit and hat, with huge fake facial hair that makes it hard to understand him.

Nope. Our leader believes that Christmas is just another pagan celebration and that true Christians don’t celebrate it. But he does wishes everyone a good time over their celebrations.

Absolutely! The Emperor always makes an televised announcement in which he reads the entire Christmas story and then wishes everyone a Merry Christmas.
The Liamese Empire is a Conservative, Imperialist, Celtic nation with a large Christian population.

P.S. The symbol on my flag is not the triforce, It is supposed to be a symbol of the trinity, the star in the middle represents the Empire.

Yes. Since 1854, the reigning monarch, or rarely the heir, publishes a Christmas message annually to his subjects. The message, known as the Christmas Letter, is published in the Gazettes and the Regal Post on Christmas Eve, and is commanded to be read at Mattins on Christmas Day. The messages generally relate to Christmas celebrations, family celebrations and traditions, and always relate to the story of the nativity and the message of goodwill to men. They also reflect back on the previous liturgical year and express hope for the church in the liturgical year ahead. Generally, the form of the letter is as follows:

ALEXANDER THE SECOND by the Grace of God, of Nortend and Hambria King, Lord of Cardoby, of his other Dominions Emperor, and of the Church Mundane Supreme Governour and Vicar of Christ,
to all whom these Presents shall come,
GREETING!

On Christmas Day this year We remember the holy virgin birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ Two Thousand and Eighteen years ago in Bethlehem, the city of David...

Christmas cards from the monarch are also sent annually, to thousands of his subjects across the country and foreign princes and powers. They are much simpler and bear phrasing such as 'His Majesty the King and his family wish you a Happy Christmas'.

The queen does. The Prime Minister does not always do this.
Uses certain NS stats.

Atlantis is an MT nation that is the third richest country in the world, behind only China and the United States. It is closer to the USA, UK, Italy and Spain (in that order, though Italy and Spain is probably tied) culturally than it is Greece. It is also a naval power.

And no, Atlantis is not underwater: It has a land area around the size of France.

Pros: Classical liberalism, democracy, the West, Brexit, Viktor Orban, free education, strong military
Cons: Authoritarianism, fascism, communism, multiculturalism, Islamism

No. There are no convention or obligation for the President to make an address every Christmas, Maxxmas, Eid Fitr, or amy other day except on the Union Day. And frankly, they don't see it as something important to waste their precious time - time that can be spent on national purposes. Although usually, the President does deliver a "Merry Christmas" statement on Twitcher.

December 25th a day many nations of the known world celebrate as Christmas, in a matter of fact is not celebrated nor exist within the Chun-Nan Dominion. Henceforth, no sovereign nor regent presents a proclamation about the said day as far as the recorded history of the Empyrean Empire extends. In accordance with Mantle, December 25th is considered normal day and with note that the significance of said day that many nations celebrate was established by religious heretics.

Rice Shower gives an annual Christmas message. It is televised every year on December 24th, and a message on social media from Rice Shower herself will usually be sent a couple of hours before the event starts, which is supposed to grab peoples attention and let them know about the message.

It amounts to her saying an intro, which is slightly different each year, but usually comes in the form of "Merry Christmas! I'm Rice Shower. I'm pleased to be doing this year's Christmas Message", before listing off the major events that happened in the nation. It is broadcasted in both English and Japanese, like any other television program in the country, and people can switch between both by switching which version the TV shows.

Like every other leader in Kanto Jinfuken, she takes part in the Regional Televised Christmas Celebrations, which has a different theme per year, and she, like all leaders in the region, has her own segment. Her segment specifically involves her reading a story based on the theme of the program. Like the national Christmas Message, it's broadcast in Japanese and English (the default for each section), though subtitles for each major language spoken in the region exist.

Oh yes! It's quite lovely actually-
for the last thirty or so years of his reign, king Rudolf goes live on TV, radio, and most recently internet live stream, and speaks to the nation. Set before a warm fire crackling in his winter Manor's hearth, he reflects on the year, and tries to unite all Saxons under the spirit of giving. He gives his remarks to the parliament and how they've been doing, and typically calls for bipartisan action in the face of division for the sake of the nation. He will talk about issues and causes, both at home and abroad, that need help, and call for generosity in donations and support for victims of tragedy. It's a several hour affair, that typically ends late at night, with the old king reading a festive story to celebrate the holidays, before wishing all people of all faiths a very, very, happy holidays, and good night.

The Prime Minister does not traditionally deliver a message on Christmas, although some do choose to do so out of their own volition. The current Prime Minister, Nikolai Olanovich Semenov, being atheist, does not give any form of message on Christmas, but his predecessor, Reginald D. McFatton, Jr., did deliver an annual Christmas message, as he is a practicing Roman Catholic.

Ryukyu Ken usually airs a televised Christmas Message. It airs for 10 minutes. Ryukyu Ken delivers her message by greeting everyone and then saying major happenings in the country. Due to many people not having a TV, Ryukyu Ken has decided to stream the message as well. It's a small island, so a lot of people (especially those from the Capital) come to the Christmas Message live. It's aired/streamed/watched in English, though it has subtitles in Okinawan, Ryukyuan and Japanese.

In the regional Christmas special, Ryukyu Ken will usually not do much, as she's merely a cameo character. However, the 2014 edition was hosted by Japari Ryukyu-do, and so she was able to host the show. Her parts are broadcast in Okinawan, United Ryukyuan, English and Japanese.
Japari Ryukyu-do is a Kemono Friends-based nation set in the Ryukyu Islands (Obviously). Doesn't claim Okinawa.

Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party Eleutherios Kanellos does not deliver Christmas messages, especially having just taken power on the Second of December, being an avowed atheist, and being very busy helping move forward the Socialist Revolution that will soon make Christmas unnecessary in a classless society.
