On Monday December 10th, 2018 the people of Brituctam will head to the polls to elect the next National Assembly of the People's Republic of Brituctam. All 800 of the seats are up for election and the new National Assembly will be sworn in on December 18th. This election was scheduled early due to massive riots and protests across Brituctam against the Immigration Ban instituted by the Brituctam First Party with support from the Prosperity Party. The populace viewed it as extreme and demanded the law be repealed or call for early legislative elections. The Federal Elections Commission called for new elections on December 10th.
1. People's Democratic Party, centre, with factions ranging from centre-left to centre-right.
Is against the ban on immigration and will repeal it immediately if given a majority. The party mainly believes in moderate taxes on the upper class and corporations, to ensure income equality and basic services to the populace while at the same time promoting economic growth and freedom, with low taxes on the lower and middle classes, to ensure they keep most of their income to live free lives and support themselves. The party believes in a strong private sector, while ensuring basic services as a right to all. The party has a global vision for Brituctam, wishing to keep expanding Britucty influence regionally and internationally. It strongly supports the Plinghini Union. The PDP strongly supports women's rights, LGBT rights, abortion access, and environmental conservation. Believes in keeping military budgets low and promoting peace abroad and at home through dialogue.
2. United Socialist Party, centre-left to left.
Is against the ban on immigration and will repeal it immediately if given a majority. The USP believes in high taxes on corporations, moderate taxes on the upper class, and low taxes on the lower and middle classes, to ensure the greatest amount of income equality possible while promoting economic growth. The party believes in a strong private sector, but that it must be regulated to ensure no disadvantages to the lower and middle classes. The USP believes access to basic services are a human right. The USP has a global vision for Brituctam, wishing to keep expanding Britucty influence regionally and internationally. It strongly supports the Plinghini Union. The USP strongly supports women's right, LGBT rights, abortion access, and environmental conservation. Believes in moderate military spending, but promotes peace abroad and at home through dialogue.
3. Brituctam First Party, right to far-right.
As the creator of the ban on immigration, the BFP will uphold it if given a majority once again. The BFP believes in low taxes on all citizens, with moderate taxes on corporations, to ensure economic growth while providing basic services, like healthcare and education, and wishes to privatize all other government controlled agencies and industries. The party believes in a strong private sector with no regulations. The BFP views Brituctam's economic influence regionally and internationally as a great asset to the nation, but will protect Britucty industries above all and enact high tariffs on foreign goods. It is strongly against the Plinghini Union and wishes to hold an in/out vote in Brituctam. The party has no official stance on women's rights, LGBT rights, abortion access, nor environmental conservation but it strongly believes in allowing the states of Brituctam to set their own laws on such issues. The BFP believes in high military spending to ensure Brituctam's safety and interests.
4. Prosperity Party, centre-right.
Originally supporting the ban on immigration, the PP will repeal it if given a majority but replace it with a new immigration system that is merit-based. The PP believes in moderate taxes on the upper class and corporations and low taxes on the lower and middle classes, to ensure economic growth while providing basic services to all. The party believes in a strong, unregulated private sector. The PP views Brituctam's influence regionally and internationally as an asset, but will protect Britucty industries with moderate tariffs on foreign goods. The party strongly supports the Plinghini Union. The PP supports women's rights, LGBT rights, and environmental conservation, but does not believe in abortion unless there is a threat posed to the mother or fetus. Though, the party strongly believes in allowing the states of Brituctam to set their own laws on such issues. The PP believes in moderate military spending to ensure Brituctam's safety and interests, but promotes peace at home and abroad through dialogue.
