In the silence of the Earth in the early 21st century, came a spark to light a deadly inferno. But that was the future, right now, the World was abuzz, not of any grand assault, but because of petty human disputes over territory and Ideology. Empire against Empire, Capitalists against Communists, Old Rivals against Rivals. It is considered a time of Nationalism, and Pride, and is filled with Militaristic Countries itching to fight each other. The only thing keeping the peace however, is the United Earth Organization, a successor to the failed United Nations of Old. But with New America, and the CCCP butting heads, France and Germany about to war over Alsace-Lorraine, and Atlantropa looking to expand into the Balkans, it would seem the world won't stay in a chaotic peacetime for long...
