Not necessarily. One can destroy a country without killing everyone in it, you just have to dismantle every institution related to the country and it effectively ceases to exist. Killing off the leadership also prevents a government-in-exile scenario, dooming the country to non-existence.

I think this might be more complicated when it comes to Israel, which is a philosophical/religious concept as much as it is a nationstate, more than any other country I can think of. As long as there is any substantial number of Jews (and Christians) the idea of Israel is going to exist and, along with that, most likely, a government-in-exile.

How so? Ofc it is true that nations generally desire nationstates, but the difference with Israel arises in the existence of a religious basis for Israel (which is, beyond the reason the country was established, the reason for the existence of the idea for such a nationstate)

A nation stems from a common identity and community and is usually the result of a former nation-state being dismantled (e.g. Assyria, Uyghurstan, Israel, etc.), though not always. To call Israel a nation-state is correct, and indeed if the State of Israel were to become defunct there would still be an Israeli nation in the form of a diaspora. A country is more artificial and grounded upon the state itself though, meaning if the State of Israel were to become defunct that would mean that Israel - as a country - would no longer exist.

The West has a lot of influence in the middle east and they're responsible for stiring up a lot of chaos among many Muslim brothers. Personally, if the Muslims of the middle east stopped fighting one another and United to form a Caliphate and remove western influence from the middle east, they're better off by themselves.

The Saudis are puppets of the United States and they should be cooperating with Muslim countries more than relying on the imperialistic west who try to shove their secularism down the throats of Muslims.

The west, and in my specific case; Britain, should influence wherever it so damn well chooses. If it suits our financial and geopolitical interests to meddle there we will do so -just as you meddled in the Balkans for so many years. It is the tit for tat world we live in. Get used to it.
