We don't discriminate on the basis of age, gender, colour of socks, etc. If we get volunteers under the age of 18, their first assignment is to finish school.

Postponement: As mentioned, one can postpone the conscription until they are 25 years old. This is usually done by college/university students to wait until they graduate.
Exemption: If a person has health defects, physical or mental disability, they will be automatically exempted. If a person has a doctorate, they are also exempted but will be accepted if they volunteer.

Deferral: As aforementioned, individuals can defer from service with required paperwork and reasoning.

Alternate public service: If an individual prefers not to do military service (conscientious objectors, strict religious grounds), they may perform alternate public service in the public sector. However, service terms via alternate public service are usually twice as long as compared to conscription.

Exceptions: Individuals that have exceptions such as having dependents, being a full-time carer; i.e. caring for a disabled person or mentally impaired person, physical & mental impairments, national security concerns (which will not be discussed on those grounds). Those who are given exceptions must give reason & paperwork restating this until the age of 35.

Post-Conscription service: Any individual who undertakes conscription can opt to be placed on ready reserve, active reserve or inactive reserve.
Those that opt for ready reserve are required to undertake 4 two-week service periods every three months; remuneration is paid for the total 8 weeks of service rendered. Furthermore, those that have opted for ready reserve are on call at all times.
Those that opt for active reserve are required to undertake a 4-day muster every three months. Employers will be required by law to roster these days off. Remuneration is paid during the total 16 days
Those that opt for inactive reserve are not required to undertake quarterly reserve but may be called upon during wartime and must report to their garrison when recalled.
