Scary creatures in YN's folklore

So it's october, so I thought this thread would be appropriate. Basically what are some scary creatures from YN's stories, myths, legends, or folklore? I'm sure y'all have got some interesting tales, so let's share.

[Marcianus]

The Red Scar is a pretty infamous Folk-lore in Marcianus. The story is about a young, deformed man with scars on his face, that oozes red liquids, and who stalks and murders children.

Pretty creepy.

Changelings who kidnap and replace people and ponies and feed on their family's love for them-which are real.
Barrow wights who live in the royal barrows and kill grave robbers-which are a myth as far as we know.
Zombies-which are real but only on Halloween night.
Undead and elves of various types-which are a myth as far as we know.
The real but far away Victorious Decepticons.

[Oswyn Islands]

There are tales of a “Nachtmädchen”, which is believed to be an undead, young native girl. This being is described as having a frail and emaciated appearance, wearing torn native clothing and carrying a bone dagger. The girl is said to whisper in her native tongue before murdering non-native children, pregnant women and young men, often gauging out their eyes and tearing out their throats.

The origins of this myth date back to the beginning of Germanic colonisation of the islands, when the natives actively resisted the colonial efforts and killed Germans on sight. The targeted victims of the tale were really targets of the natives and were the most vulnerable.

Though Bigfoot sightings have been reported all across the former United States, Texas seems to be the most active state for these sightings. Bigfoot is a rare member of the great apes, and it has many relatives in other regions, such as Yetis in the Himalayas, Sasquatches in Canada, and El Cuatlacas in Mexico. From the few encounters people have had with Bigfoot, it tends to live in the woods and is an omnivore like other great apes. It has been reported to eat fish, deer, cattle, birds, berries, and possibly humans. It gets its name from the large footprints it leaves behind.

Most pre-Christian history in our nation is lost, however we did have a recent incident with creepy clowns.

Some teenagers dressed up as creepy clowns and went about terrorizing the neighborhood. They made the mistake of terrorizing the house of the town Magistrate, who ordered them locked up. After a quick trial for disturbing the peace, they were sentenced to 20 lashes from the cat o' nine tails. So far, we have had no further incidents.

I don't make much about my nation's folklore here. It's mostly Russian/Slavic. So here's an urban legend.

After 1995, the nuclear war ended and created at least three "wasteland zones" in Zitravgrad. In the zones, mutation quickly affected the surviving population of humans and animals. Those who could escape would be treated and contained for research purposes while those who did not survive would become known as 'mutants'. The severity of the mutation decreases every generation and the mutants are not known for longevity but man... they can be scary. Not video-game-level of scary but close.

The urban legend in the northern seaside region involves a half-fish, half-human mutant in the form of a "man" with scaly skin, deformed face and glowing red eyes in a tattered uniform of an Admiral of the Imperial Navy, with his legs having evolved into a long fish tail. According to the legend, "he" could be heard screaming and screeching in agony near the site where the battleship HMS Feterov sank in 1994 due to the collateral damage of the nuclear strike. This story is passed around in Zitravgradian internet as any creepypasta would. Some also suspect the state-sponsored researchers to have something to do with this. In the early of 2018, there was an investigation of the area by the Wasteland Authority. They found nothing. But the screech can still be heard to this day.

(Just for the record, there is indeed a half-fish man in the Zitravgradian Navy right now but he is closer to a normal person than a screeching fish.)
