Forget Russian Meddling

Postby Gig em Aggies » Mon Sep 24, 2018 4:55 pm

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics ... li=BBnbfcL

Just found this gem of a story on MSN and read it through. Turns out a bunch of democrats formed a super PAC a month before the election in several states in order to hide their donors and meddle in the Republican races. I think a special Council is in order. I find it ironic that the democrats blame Russian meddling for Hillary losing the 2016 presidential election yet here we are almost two years later and now there meddling. I'm pretty sure none of the democrats have heard the saying "pot calling the kettle black"

So what do you think?
“One of the serious problems of planning against Aggie doctrine is that the Aggies do not read their manuals nor do they feel any obligations to follow their doctrine.”
“The reason that the Aggies does so well in wartime, is that war is chaos, and the Aggies practices chaos on a daily basis.”
“If we don’t know what we are doing, the enemy certainly can’t anticipate our future actions!”

I believe both sides of the American political spectrum steeped in corruption and need to be purged. Nobody sees the big picture, they only see how bad one side. If we wish to restore our democracy, our whole government needs to be flushed of the disease of corruption.

So the possibility of engaging a foreign hostile power to meddle with the elections is equal to this......how?

Yeah true. But I wonder what it says about people who try to view this as some mutually exclusive phenomenon. How right can you be if you claim that the instance of your opponent violating the ethics laws will magically nullify your own ethical violations?

Not sure what you're trying to say here. If a ref sees a legal play then it's a legal play. If he doesn't see an illegal play then it's still an illegal play.

Was what they did illegal?

This is not at all in any comparison to a foreign power meddling in our elections.

Ok Stalin.

I don't think he means send them to gulags or kill them. Rather try them in court and jail them. We can make some space for them after we release non violent prisoners only charged with possession of marijuana.

Good job of always thinking the worse though.

If everyone involved is American then what is the issue? GOP and Dems aren't peoples of different countries.

But I would support an investigation if that makes you happy. The GOP has a good history of wasting tax payer money on politically motivated investigations recently.....

You really think they are the same.....ok.....well?......the parties have been meddling with each other since we started having elections. The greater "sin" would be asking Russia to assist in the process.

If you believe the evidence of these journalists, who suggest that Russia was a cover story, not unlike President Trump’s allegations that the elections were rigged, the title makes a bit more sense, if not necessarily in the direction the OP intended.

It would probably be less expensive and less waste of time. Plus I didn't say they were the same I just find the situation between the two to be ironic.

So what they did was legal. Tell you what, the Republicans hold the Presidency, the Senate, and the House. Call on them to change the law to prevent things like this. I'm sure you'll find plenty of votes for campaign finance reform.

That's very true. It's still very hard to believe news crews and journalists anymore than politicians anymore. Both are starting to become extremely corrupt and biased.
