Well, NSG, it happened. It only took over five years, but it happened.

Tiger Woods has won the 2018 Tour Championship at -11, two strokes ahead of Billy Horschel for his first win since the 2013 Bridgestone Invitational. Tiger Woods played with Rory McIlroy on the day, generating massive crowds. As the Tour Championship is the last tournament of the year, with a 9 million dollar purse and the decider of the FedEx Cup, Tiger Woods fell just short of his third FedEx Cup Title, finishing in second place just behind Justin Rose. None the less, Tiger Woods now moves from 21st to 13th in the world following the victory.

So, NSG, I must ask- is it exciting to see Tiger back? How do you think he will do next season?

I personally, would like to see Tiger win a major and enter the world top 10 next year- that would be quite a feat.

Golf has... largely flailed in the years without Tiger Woods, but that's speaking as someone who no longer watches the news and hence is now rarely exposed to sports I don't pay attention beyond mainstream headlines... which obviously biases my view of goings on in golf since I don't care for it as a sport.* It's always seemed remarkable what happened to and then with Tiger Woods to me.

Basically, what I am saying is that the powers that be in the golfing world have probably been overcome by a suddenly enhanced feeling of greed.

*In other circumstances, perhaps I would enjoy it as an exercise but the closest I get to playing golf is walking.
