(Draft) Child Poverty reduction Act .....civil rights - mild

Postby Titan IE » Sat Sep 15, 2018 3:52 am

NOTE: this world assembly act is a work in progress and does not represent the final product. please enjoy!

The nationstates of the world assembly in their firm and mutual belief that all children should be given the chance to thrive, based upon their own deeds, regardless of their heritage, hereby enacts the child poverty reduction act declaring that all member states should...

1-Define poverty as the state of one who lacks a usual or socially acceptable amount of money or material possessions resulting in scarcity of clean breathable air, clean drinkable water, clean edible food, shelter, and sleep. Especially when this scarcity leads to death!

2- Create their own national committee to research and enact policies to achieve the goal of no child poverty within 10yrs after ratifying this legislation.

3- Create a children's health insurance program.

4- Provide free or reduced cost, good quality, pre-k for families who cannot afford it.

5- Create a jobs guarantee program for parents either not being paid a livable wage and/or are struggling to get back into the workforce.

6- Allow pregnant mothers legal access to handicapped parking spots. Producing more where necessary.

So there it is, that's the great masterplan

Or maybe not so great let me know what you think. Feel free to add suggestions and critique what's here. I look forward to your comments.

Existing legislation bars the WA from interfering with member nations' domestic taxation, and also from setting specific age thresholds for anything. Also, who defines "poverty"?

The Confrederated Clans (and other Confrederated Bodys) of the Free Bears of Bears Armed
(includes The Ursine NorthLands) Demonym = Bear[s]; adjective = ‘Urrsish’.
Population = just under 20 million. Economy = only Thriving. Average Life expectancy = c.60 years. If the nation is classified as 'Anarchy' there still is a [strictly limited] national government... and those aren't "biker gangs", they're traditional cross-Clan 'Warrior Societies', generally respected rather than feared.

allow mothers of children 12yrs and under, legal access to all handicapped parking spots. Producing more where necessary.

Considering that at any given time upwards of 40-50% of any given population would fall into this category entire parking lots would become “handicap parking”, with disastrous consequences for those with legitimate disabilities. We fail to see any actual benefit to this.
Everything you know about me is wrong. Or a rumor. Something like that.
