After decades of isolationism and political instability within the nation of Walenstein, I'm proud to announce that the Walensteiner Federal Parliament has voted almost unanimously to reopen and restructure the aging International Embassy Programme.
As of this moment, all foreign governments are free to apply for an embassy in Walenstein, pursuant to the terms outlined below.
Nations already holding an embassy in Walenstein will be unaffected by the changes to the International Embassy Programme.

The Kingdom of Walenstein recognizes the principles of diplomatic immunity, and all such principles are offered to foreign diplomatic missions as outlined above. No matter the crime committed, if detention and prosecution would violate the diplomatic immunity of an individual outlined above, an arrest may not be effectuated. However, the Kingdom of Walenstein reserves the right to request that the diplomatic immunity of an individual is waived for purposes of prosecuting an alleged committed crime. In the event the immunity is not waived, the Kingdom of Walenstein may declare the individual persona non grata and expel him/her from the nation.
Whilst remaining part of the sovereign territory of the Kingdom of Walenstein, the laws of the guest nation still apply within diplomatic missions. Walensteiner authorities CANNOT enter the grounds of any diplomatic mission unless formal permission is given from the guest nation for purposes of dealing with a threat, arresting a troublesome individual, etc. The Kingdom of Walenstein however reserves the right to close an embassy on it's soil provided 5 days notice is given first.
Diplomatic Pouches:
The Kingdom of Walenstein permits nations to send Diplomatic Pouches to it's diplomatic mission(s) within Walensteiner soil, provided the goods in transit are marked correctly and advanced notice is given to Walensteiner Customs as to avoid unnecessary delay.
The contents of diplomatic pouches CANNOT be viewed/handled by Walensteiner authorities, such as the Federal Customs (Zollbehörde), Federal Police (Bundespolizei), or State/Local Police (Landespolizei), however authorities may provide an escort to ensure the pouch reaches it's final destination. Nations must arrange their own transportation of diplomatic pouches.
Vehicles:
The Kingdom of Walenstein permits guest nations to import or assign vehicles to their ambassador and any embassy staff. These vehicles will be issued diplomatic registration plates. The Kingdom of Walenstein will pay for all registration, inspection, and insurance fees for the vehicles.
The sole restriction is that military vehicles cannot be brought into the Kingdom, or any other vehicle equipped with armament(s). Bulletproof/armoured vehicles are alright.
Firearms:
Guest nations are permitted to import any firearm for use by security staff in guarding the diplomatic mission(s) of the guest nation, provided the firearm(s) are physically restricted to semi-auto, or are bolt action/other equivalents. The importation of automatic firearms is prohibited. Tazers and mace are permitted.
Each member of diplomatic security will be issued a Federal Restricted Firearms Permit by the Bundespolizei, aswell as an Authorization to Carry Publicly and Concealed whilst on duty.
