Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
come autumn, come harvest, come Harvest Festivals. This year, as in many years before, since the Dawn of Time itself, we celebrate the gift given to us by the Gods, remember friends and see friends before we get ready for the autumn storms and, following that, winter.
I am hosting the festivities in the Town in the Cliffs, in Lovely Shella - festivities, to which I invite you, dear reader! Shella is not large, but it has not stopped to surprise me with the amount of time and effort they put into their Harvest Festivals, this year also hosting the Fletching Cup and the Guard Cup, competitions of archers and swordsmen.
As every year, the Cabhair Group combines the festivities with a fundraiser for the education of children in warzones, nourishing the future of regions, who currently have none. Half of the proceeds of that day from all shops and peddlers will be donated to the Cabhair Group's funds.
The festival will be on the 23rd of Septembre, 2018 in Shella. In the appendix, you will find travelling information to the town, information about the town and the inns, the visa application (including the address to send them to, don't be frightened by the form), the berth application form (if you want to come with your own vessel) and the timetable.

Notes:

Shella, also known as the Town in the Cliffs is a town in the Free Lands of the Selkie, located on the appropriately named Shella Island. Inhabited by 3,997 people (2017 census), it is a relatively small town by international standards.
The town owes its nickname to the fact, that it was built into a small cove, only to be reached by passing through a gap between two cliffs, the town itself being at the foot of a ten metre high cliff. By the time the Lower City ran out of space, people had begun to build new houses inside of the cliff, using the material won that way to expand the harbour. By 1718, the town was a major trading hub.
The Upper Town, founded officially in 1700, mostly consists of residential areas and workshops, while the Lower Town is the centre and beating heart of Shella.
The town has a long naval history, including as pirates. This part, nowadays mostly remembered in the Shella Piracy Museum, ended in 1802.

Inns
There are only a handful of inns left for visitors, namely:

- The Píoráid Inn: One of the oldest and esteemed houses on Shella Island is known for its terrace, overlooking the harbour, and the wonderful cuisine made there from fresh fish. The prices are fairly high, but service and comfortable beds make it well worth it.
- The Teampall Inn, or Temple Inn, offers good service and good food at decent prices, but the bads are no good and since you are right in the town centre, you will hear a lot of the town's sounds.
- The Uachtair Inn is one of the few inns in the Upper Town, known as a generally good house with good prices.
- The Íochtair Inn is the opposite, in the lower town. They do have good food, though.
- The Meirdreach Inn is a cheap house of ill repute, but reportedly, they do have good food and good service.

How to get there
Getting to Shella can be done in two ways:
By air:

Shella has a small seaplane port, with seaplanes going to Shella and from Shella twice a day, one in the morning, the other in the evening. Private seaplanes can land there as well, but I do not recommend it as the approach is very difficult, even for experienced pilots.

By sea:

There are a lot more options to go to Shella by sea. One would be via one of the ferries or a cruise liner making a stop in Shella, another would be an own vessel. Please fill out the Berth Application Form before you bring your own boat.

Welcome to another Harvest Festival of mine, this time in Lovely Shella - a chance to meet old friends and make new ones, to explore new angles of your characters and your own writing abilities, and a place to definately have fun!
This is the OOC, the IC will hopefully begin on the 23rd, a Sunday. It will always be open for late arrivals.
Please keep in mind, that this is not a diplomatic event. Instead, you will play a more or less ordinary person, or several more or less ordinary persons, depending on your liking, who visits the festival, has fun (hopefully), meets people, maybe even has a little adventure along the way (I have a few little somethings planned...). Sadly, due to past experiences, the Tournament will be Selkie Only. However, if you want to give your musicians a spin, I'd be happy to hear your ideas. Concession stands will not be permitted this time as well.

Also, you will note, that there is no berth application form. There's a good reason for that, namely, that while I would welcome some details about the vessel your characters are coming with (please keep it reasonable - beneath 100 metres in length), the ships will play only a minor role. The focus are indeed the characters.

EDIT: A little note I would like to add: Your people can have been in Shella for a bit already by the time the IC starts. If you have any questions about what they could have done there, feel free to ask!

Please try to avoid one-liners. I know, that it sometimes will be impossible to do, but please at least try to.

Permitted Characters:

Please no Heads of State or High State Officials, including military persons – there can be an exception made to this, but contact me about that here. Actually preferred are celebrities, musicians and especially normal persons.
A maximum of one bodyguard per person is permitted, but please keep it reasonable. If you wish for more, then say so in the notes-section and I know to provide you with a bodyguard of the SDF.
Humanoid and MT only. No exceptions.
The maximum number of characters is only limited by yourself, but please nothing too excessive.
NPCs will be RPed by me. No exceptions.

About the application:

I'm going to stretch the part about the “valid passport photo” far beyond the ones accepted by the offices, you just need to supply a picture of your character (be it a photo, a picture, anime-artwork works, too). However, please keep it within 350x350 px maximum or hotlink to it in a sensible way.
Please answer the question about having read and understood the rules with “Nice chair.”. No exceptions. This phrase may change in the future, though - and was changed on the 1st of Novebre 2018.
You have to provide an RP-sample, from the account you wish to participate from, and it has to be an RP you participated in, where you interact with other people. If I don't like your RP-Sample, you're out. No exceptions.

Nula Attani was relieved when she finally reached the island. According to the boat man, this island was a refuge for many non humans and humans who were persecuted. Now it was paradise. She smiled as the ship stopped moving and it was safe to go. She thanked the boat man with a few coins extra and then went off on the beach to explore. She only carried a backpack and a belt of tools and essentials. She wore a brown pair of shorts and a shirt she borrowed from her sister who was in the Army.

She took a deep breath and smiled again as she said "Hello!" And went off to look for a place to get settled into for a while.

"Demasiado interesante ..." Spoke out Tasis as she looked at the various articles, books, papers and other documents detailing the history and the monarchy of the state of Morddh. She moved on to reading about the ongoing New Garrack Bush War and then placed all the documents she was in the middle of reading on the mahogany table and went out of her office like she was on fire. She moved into another room that was named Cámaras de fotografía and then spoke out "Lacasa! ¡Conseguí un trabajo para ti! Job for you in another country! Lacasa!"

And the reply came roughly and angrily as a woman with wild black hair, dressed in a khaki skirt and orange shirt, went out of digging through some boxes. She told the visitor "Sí, sí, ¡te escuché, puta voz! Entonces, ¿a dónde voy? Where?" And Tasis told her. Then it took only ten minutes for Tasis to tell her everything she wanted her to do. At that point, Lacasa nodded and said in the end "Está bien, señora, lo abordaré. El boleto está en usted, esta vez. Me pondré en contacto con el jefe azul al respecto?" To which Tasis told her Sí, adelante con eso. Solo vete ahora con tu equipo. Tendré que ver el Centro Nacional de Inteligencia."

The two women said their goodbyes to each other as Tasis took a cab to the CNI while Lacasa hurried to get her camera, her pistol and her ID.

Thirty minutes later...

Encarnación Tasis finally reached the headquarters of the CNI just as she bumped into...Rut Soledad Socorro, the very Deputy Director of the CNI. She hurried to bow to Lady Socorro but the superior shook her head and made her stand tall as she said "Nothing to forgive. Anyway...Deputy Assistant Director Tasis?" The woman nodded "Necesito que escolte al Sr. Sidney Warren porque él será nuestro representante para nuestra nación interesante muy pronto. Ya me han informado que el gobierno saliente y los candidatos quieren abrir relaciones con este."

Before Tasis could speak, Socorro told her "¿Aceptarás? Will you accept?"

Tasis just nodded.
