Crisis in Esstovakia (MT/PMT, TG to Join)

(OOC: This RP and the world surrounding it is heavily based off the events within Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. The only things altered are the events that occurred after the game which have not been concretely established in lore.)

Esstovakian Forces Guarding the now closed Eemerian/Esstovakian Joint Base

Backstory: The year was 2018, the highly capitalist nation of Esstovakia appeared to be thriving if you asked any economic analyst, but the citizens would say something different. To understand this crisis you need to go back to the Ulysses incident in 1999 that shattered the Esstovakian government and left its economy in ruins. This event changed the Anean continent forever and led to a multitude of conflicts that pitted Esstovakia not only against itself but also against its neighbor Eemeria. The Ulysses was an asteroid that collided with earth, primarily the Federation of Esstovakia. Esstovakia was an economic and military power in the world before this. This caused a splinter in the government and directly caused the Esstovakian civil war in 2007 where armed groups fought over power in the nation. The victorious party, the LUF, formed a new authoritarian government led by the 'Generals.' These generals decided that an invasion of their neighbor, Eemeria in 2015, was a solution to their situation and it would enable them to rebuild their economy. They were almost successful in conquering Eemeria but with the actions of ace pilots of the Garuda squadron the Eemerian government regained control. After this the Estovakian government was even more shattered then before. A joint coalition between the countries of the Anean continent, Norddenavic and Eemeria, sought to rebuild the broken nation. This proved successful but not in the way they had hoped. The new nation became an ultra-capitalist country and rejected the aid of their once allies. Esstovakia, luckily, was home to many natural resources, especially ones critical in the digital age. This enabled them to reform their government and build their wealth rather quickly. The government took on a small guidance role but let the free market take hold in its lands. This let foreign companies and countries move into their territory and set up shop. This was very profitable for all the people of Eemeria for some time until it was clear that the less fortunate members of society would be left behind. The government shut down a large percentage of its welfare and social programs which further disabled large groups of citizens. Their belief was that if they could not work and be successful then they should be left behind. This was an unfortunate point of view but it was their own choice. Some citizens left for other countries when they found their old home no longer wanted them, but many could not afford such a large move. millions of people were living below the poverty line while the 1 percent dominated the land. The countries environment was perishing as all regulation for its protections had been abolished in pursuit of the free market. The economy and stock market were booming for the ones lucky enough to be well off but for all others, they suffered. The nation was nothing like its former self and while markets around the world took a blind eye to it in the pursuit of profit, their neighbor Eemeria was concerned for the well being of the people. This led to talks between the leaders of their respective governments but they always ended in the Esstovakian 'King' saying the same thing, "This is what the people want, our markets rule us and you have no power here." Followed by their delegation ceasing all talks for whatever period of time they deemed fit. Eemeria was hesitant to take further economic action immediately because to an extent their economies were intertwined. Eemerian business' had found success partnering with the state of Esstovakia and putting a block on this would surely hurt the Eemerian economy. After all they were right, the free market had taken hold and who were they to tell them otherwise?

This was all until the Bridgeton event of 2018. The Eemerian and fledgling Esstovakian military (more of a militarized police force that kept the homeless protestors at bay) had built a joint base on the Esstovakian/Eemerian border on the Esstovakian side of the line. Technically Esstovakia owned the land but Eemeria had a joint contract with them. One day the Esstovakian state police force showed up at the base with a large group of construction and demolition workers. The state police ordered all individuals to vacate the land as it had been sold to one of the many corporations who had begun building factories on Esstovakian soil. The Esstovakian military shrugged and began packing up to transfer back to bases closer to the capital city. This must have been nothing new to them and the Eemerian commanders there were left shocked. They refused to leave as they had no orders from their command to vacate the base, and on top of that they had a contract with the government to be there. The Esstovakian state police paired with the military forces at the base outnumbered the Eemerian forces so they didn't want to start a conflict or leave without more information from their command. The Esstovakian forces did not take kindly to this and began to forcibly arrest the Eemerian soldiers who were told to stand down by the Eemerian commanders on sit to avoid an international incident. The Esstovakians took control of the Eemerian assets on site and began shuttling them back to prisons closer to the capital city. This news shocked both the international community and the Eemerian government alike. The Eemerians immediately sent military and diplomatic liaisons to the capital of Esstovakia, Strigoi, to no avail. The Esstovakian government insisted that they had illegally trespassed on their land and that they were now prisoners with no plans of release. This enraged the Eemerian people who demanded action from their government, many people even saying Eemeria should invade Esstovakia.

This conflict was now forefront on Eemerian Prime Minister David Archelius' line of sight. He had to do something, does he diplomatically solve this or does he intervene with the military might of his great nation. He had to decide and the whole world was watching, what would he do?

Outline: This RP will follow the events of this conflict and show how it breaks down. It may be solved diplomatically, or these two nations could go to war again.

3. No nuclear weapons. We don't want this to quick, this is going to be a long RP.
4. A map will be provided and please follow it.
5. Give all participants a day to respond and if they don't message the OP (Eemeria) for direction on where to go.

Official Joint Press Release from the King's Residence and Central Government of Esstovakia

For Immediate Release to all News Outlets of the Great and High Nation of Esstovakia:

Today King Marcus White met with President Andrew Walker to discuss the tragic betrayal and lies of the Eemerian government against the great nation of Esstovakia. King Marcus was very disappointed and shocked that such a close ally could speak so untruthfully about their partnership and the unfortunate event that occurred at the Esstovakian Bridgeton Military base where Eemerian troops had been permitted to be stationed to ensure the security of shipping lanes between the two nations. The Eemerian troops located there became disorderly and hostile when asked to vacate the premises by Esstovakian authorities. The Esstovakian government, according to the 2016 contract signed by both parties, has full control over the military base and final say on its use. The Eemerians claim that the base was built using their funds and was a joint project between our nations but that is a blatant mistruth. Esstovakian military forces had to use reasonable force to subdue the Eemerian soldiers and place them under arrest for crimes against the Esstovakian people. These soldiers are currently being held in military prisons in the capital and are being treated fairly. Once this situation is resolved they will be released to Eemerian authorities. Until then they are prisoners of our state and they will be tried in our courts of law. President Walker of Esstovakia was quoted saying, "It is inexcusable what the Eemerians did to us and we will not allow them to get away with it. We will handle this swiftly and with a strong hand to show that we will not be stepped on by a bigger nation. Prime Minister David is welcome to come discuss this issue with us if he decides to stop the spread of this fake news and allegations against us.

Prime Minister David Archelius was angered beyond disbelief. How dare the Esstovakians so blatantly lie in a public press release like that. After everything the Eemerian nation had done for them, they imprison Eemerian troops and then follow it up with finger pointing. David was truly contemplating military intervention before his Foreign Secretary walked in followed by the Minister of Defense and other officials. He looked up and irritably said, "What do you have for me? Tell me they have apologized for this. Give me some good news.." The Minister of Defense was the first to speak, "No sir, they won't talk to us except to say that they require an apology and action from us before they even consider releasing the troops. We are being torn apart in the media for not doing anything, we need to take action and I strongly recommend military action." His foreign secretary quickly interrupted with, "Sir I understand that we want our men returned home safely and there is nothing I want more then that but rushing into another armed conflict with a nation that frankly, we put down just a couple years ago, is not the course we need to take. We need to be smart about this, we need to meet with their leadership and find a way that benefits all parties. For now though we need to release a statement to not just the Eemerian people but the world. They cannot see us as weak in the face of such an event." David walked back to the window and gazed upon the protestors, many in military uniforms, outside the gates of his residence. He shook his head and said, "Release the statement I prepared, I want no argument about it. We will not be made fools by the people who we stuck our necks out for on multiple occasions. I want to speak with the Norddenavic Queen about this. This will not go on any longer, I want our men home immediately, do you hear me?" It was not often that PM Archelius got mad, even to this degree, so the officials quickly nodded and went their separate ways to get done what he asked for. David looked back out over the protestors and sighed.

Official Statement from the Royal Residency and Parliament of The Federal Republic of Eemeria

To be circulated to all respective news outlets and governmental agencies at once:
Today the Prime Minister of Eemeria David Archelius ordered this statement to be released to the public: To my fellow Eemerians, we will not stand idly by as our nations reputation is soiled by a country who has accepted millions of endoes in aid from us over the past decade. We will not allow them to disseminate these lies about a situation that was singlehandedly caused by their administration and their overzealous military leaders. To the King and President of Esstovakia...have you lets yourself become so blinded by the corporations that have come to control your day to day life that you now turn your backs on the people who forgave you after your country was responsible for tens of thousands of their countrymen and women dying? It is a sad day if that is the case. I immediately order that you release our soldiers from your custody and return to following the terms of the contract signed by both our leaders regarding the Bridgeton base or we will be forced to act. This will be both economically and with the full might of the Eemerian military. You will not bully us again, for we are much stronger then we once were, when you decided to trample on our sovereignty and take what was rightfully ours. We have forgiven, but we have not forgotten. We hope you make the right choice.

The room was bright with Esstovakian smiles as it was a joyous day for both leaders of the government and leaders of the large industrial complex that pretty much ran Esstovakia. The Esstovakian president was meeting with the top 1% of the nation to sign the bill that would further deregulate the many industries that existed within the country. This bill mainly focused on getting rid of long standing environmental protections, the official story was that it would help grow the economy by letting companies find new ways to be efficient. This was wildly unpopular with environmental groups both within and outside of the country but the government only ruled by the people's rule on paper. The men in the room grouped together for a picture before breaking to chat and brag about their respective companies and how successful they were. As the president was chatting with the CEO of one of the top logging companies when one of his aides came and whispered in his ear. The president's face immediately went blank as he listened. When the aide finally finished he forced a smile and announced to the room that he had business to do and he needed the office clear. When all the various men had finally left the president went from being calm to having an anger pour out of him that rivaled only something straight out of hell. His assistant outside his office immediately picked up the phone and called for his cabinet to report to his office as she heard something heavy slam and shatter against the wall. His cabinet reluctantly showed up to the office and lined up in front of his desk. They stood nervously as he poured himself a drink of something very strong. He finished his drink then threw his glass at the wall to the left his defense secretaries head. The bulky but somehow timid man cringed as it whizzed past his ear. President Walker spoke in a surprisingly level voice and said, "I don't want to hear a single thing out of any of you. I'm sure you have all heard that the Eemerians released a statement regarding their betrayal to us. They feel that they can just throw this back on us and get away with it. Well let me tell you, they are deathly wrong. I want these three things to happen immediately. First, I want all Eemerian workers and visitors expelled from our nation. I do not want any of our people setting foot in their nation so you will send them to Norddenavic. Second, I want the third fleet mobilized and sent to the Fren Canal, block any and all ships unless they are Esstovakian. This will cut off their primary shipping lane. Third and final, I want the army mobilized and stationed at all major checkpoints between our two nations to show that we will not take their aggression. Dismissed." The men quickly and quietly shuffled out of the room to begin carrying out his orders. President Walker smirked as he thought about how the Eemerians would surely back down when they heard about the action they were taking. Esstovakia would win this one, this would make up for what Eemeria did to their nation all those years ago.

Good Afternoon, my name is Megan Jeffreys and this is ESN...the best news source in Esstovakia. Today we have some unsettling news regarding the current conflict with the neighboring state of Eemeria. The Eemerian government released a statement today denouncing the Esstovakian government and accusing the administration of lying in their comments regarding the Bridgeton incident. The Esstovakian government has decided to immediately expel all Eemerian citizens from its borders after this announcement became public. Esstovakian state police have begun rounding up Eemerian citizens within Esstovakia and transporting them to airports and train stations around the nation to be shuttled to the neutral kingdom of Norddenavic. Some critics say transporting the individuals to Norddenavic instead of directly to Eemeria will only throw fuel on the fire but the government is standing by their decision. Alongside this the military has mobilized both the third fleet to block Eemerian shipping lanes that cross Esstovakian waters and the army to seal off Esstovakian/Eemerian borders. This has significantly increased the tensions between the two nations as they publicly dispute over the soldiers that are currently being held in Esstovakian prisons after refusing to vacate the Bridgeton base which was slated to be replaced with an oil refinery.

In other news the Esstovakian president signed into law a bill today that would further deregulate the industrial complex in Esstovakia, primarily focusing on environmental protections that had been in place for years. This triggered multiple arrests by state police in the capital city of prominent environmental activists. State police spokeswoman Brittany Price was quoted saying, "These activists were caught planning multiple violent protests across the nation and our state police acted swiftly to quell these threats. Our men acted bravely in the face of armed terror seekers and we are grateful for their service. All other questions can be directed towards the justice department as charges are still pending." International critics and supporters of the activists arrested have spoken out saying the accusations presented by the state police are false and only peaceful protests were planned.

Gracemerian Royal Airport - Gracemeria, Eemeria - 8/31/18 - 2 PM

The hot blazing sun covered the hot tarmac of the Gracemerian Royal Airport. Eemerian police and military personnel blocked every inch of the hot tarmac. Press and curious civilians lined the edges of the runway. Onlookers from the airports terminals carried smartphones and snapped photos. Most likely posting them all over social media cites. This was a rare occurrence at the airport, it was not often that other world leaders would come and visit. A large Devontan Boeing 787 landed. The large jet had a line of green on the bottom and the rest of the jet was white. The Presidential seal of Devonta was pasted on the mid fuselage and tale of the aircraft.

Above in the blue skies, a flight of five Devontan Air Force Ay-105's stealth fighter jets flew high over the clouds, providing security over the busy airport, in tandem with there Eemerian Air Force counterpart. As the Boeing 787 slowly moved across the runway, it taxied its way to a stop and two Presidential Guard personnel opened the planes fuselage door. A staircase than slowly descended onto the tarmac. Soon a red carpet was rolled out by Eemerian ground personnel and a military band from the Eemerian Army started playing.

From the far reaches of the airport a motorcade of limos appeared. Three in total, all black with tented windows. A police escort of motorcycles on either side of the limos made the rest of the impressive convoy. The limos stopped in front of the parked Devontan plane and the Prime Minister of Eemeria - David Archelius - stepped out with his wife.

At this moment, President Josiah Jones of the United States of Devonta stepped out the planes open doors and made his way down the stairs and onto the red carpet. Josiah was followed by his Senior Adviser Maria and Secretary of State Joseph Ivory. Behind the president and his entourage a group of eight Presidential Guards carefully walked and scanned the tarmacs surroundings. The men and women were armed with Macro-Uzis under their expensive suits. Also under their suits were armored plate carrying vest.

The Devontan president and his entourage greeted and shook hands with Eemerian military personnel posted on either side of the aircraft stairwell. Despite the urgent matters at hand, Devontan President Josiah Jones was all smiles. He was young for a president and for a world leader. Josiah was only thirty three, being elected to office in 2010, at the age of 26. He was a tall slender man and maintained the same physique from his days in the Devontan Marine Corps.

The Devontan President approached the Eemerian Prime Minister and his wife. He first hugged and kissed the Prime Minister's wife on the cheek, before then shacking hands with Prime Minister Archelius.

"Nice to see you again, David! I think we have allot to talk about..." Exclaimed Josiah.

Failure to stand down and release Eemerian POWs will result in Esstovakia feeling the full force and might of the Devontan Armed Forces in support of Eemeria.

Further condemnable actions includethe build up of troops on Eemeria's borders, expulsion of peaceful Eemerian citizenry, and the hostile closing of the Fren Canal by the Esstovakian Navy. President David Archelius was standing next to his wife at the end of the carpet that had been laid our for the Devontian entourage when President Josiah Jones stepped off the place. It was good to see Josiah again, they were close allies but all the conflicts Eemeria had been involved in kept him from keeping in touch, their wives were close though so they stayed close. Josiah approached him and his wife and greeted them. David smiled and shook Josiahs hand and said, "It is good to see you Josiah, it has been much to long. This conflict has got us all on edge here so you support is much appreciated. Why don't we discuss this more on the way to the Center (The Center was the governmental compound that sat near the middle of the capital city, it housed not only the royal residences but also parliament and other primary governmental buildings). David and Josiah walked side by side to the group of vehicles led by their guards. They got into the vehicles and they began to head towards the center of the city. David rubbed his temple as he dropped the cheery act he presented in front of the cameras. He was exhausted, this conflict had only escalated and the Eemerian people were pushing even harder for military action along the border. "Josiah, I have to be honest with you. This conflict will soon become violent, I cannot keep parliament at bay any longer. They insist that involving the armed forces is the only way to solve this issue. I personally want to see if we can resolve this diplomatically but unfortunately at this point I am outnumbered by the voice of the people, all I want at this point is our people to return home. Thats why I have asked you here, I need your help. I cannot publicly move troops into Esstovakia without international support, I need your military by our side. I know it is a lot to ask, and I know war is the last thing either of us want, but it is what will happen regardless." David sighed and looked out the window, "After everything we have done for the Esstovakians they thank us by doing this. I don't understand it."

Eemerian Border, 324th Army Battalion

Private Jack Walsh was stationed with the 324th at the Bridgeton border crossing between Eemeria and Esstovakia. The tensions had caused the army to begin deploying battalions of troops along the border in order to show the Esstovakians that they were willing to use force to defend their nation. They had strict orders though to not initiate conflict and to only use force if the Esstovakians fired first. He was assigned to one of the watch posts that sat on the Eemerian side of the river. There had been no activity for hours but he knew he had to stay diligent, war could break out at any time. Part of him was terrified, he was new to all this, but he had his father's blood in him. His father had passed away years ago but he had served bravely in the Eemerian military for most of his adult life. All of a sudden Jack saw something in the distance, down the horizon on the Esstovakian side of the border. He grabbed the binoculars from his side and brought them up to his face. He finally got them into focus and saw three trucks driving towards the border. When they got closer he could see that they were marked as Esstovakian. (OOC: Esstovakia gave permission to initiate their part in this post). Jack picked up the radio at this side and immediately started speaking into it. "This is lookout 2, I repeat this is lookout 2. I have three Esstovakian vehicles approaching the border. They look to be transports of some kind, not sure if they are armed." He heard something crackle back on the radio as the trucks stopped on the Esstovakian side of the bridge and begin unloading military personal. Jack didn't know what they wanted but it couldn't be good.

President Walker burst through the doors of the primary situation room in the Esstovakian High Military Command center causing all the uniformed men in the room to salute. He motioned at them to be at ease as he took a seat at the head of the table. He sat down as one of the aides poured him a glass of something dark, probably whiskey as he was a heavy drinker. He smiled in a way that said he wasn't actually happy but he wanted them to think he was, "Alright boys, give me an update on this situation. These foolish Eemerians apologized to us yet or do we need to start executing pows?." He laughed as he said that, knowing that doing so would start a freaking war again. All he truly wanted was for the Eemerians to apologize and bow down to them like they should have last time, he didn't want all that much. One of the men at the table began speaking, "Sir, the Eemerians have made it clear that they will not be backing down on this one, at least not anytime soon. I suggest we bolster the forces of the 3rd fleet, she currently is holding with two battleships, three cruisers, an amphibious assault ship, and a handful of support ships. This means she can only hold the blockade for so long. On top of that the international support is swinging heavily towards the Eemerians, I would suggest we begin letting the prisoners go if we want any true resolution out of this." President Walker stopped sipping his drink when he heard the man remark about freeing the prisoners. He looked up at him and flung the glass at the man, striking him in the temple. He stood up and in a firm deep voice bellowed, "Any mention of us backing down in any way is treason. I will not have treasonous men in this room so I suggest you grow a set of balls and man up. You are weak and you are scum compared to a true Esstovakian man. If I hear another word of surrender from you or anyone in this room I will have you strung up and paraded in the streets like the traitor you will be. Do I have any questions gentleman?" The men in the room were silent, they were not going to speak up, not with the anger the president just displayed. President Walker began to speak again, "Thats what I thought, now can we get back to business please?" he said with a smile. One of the other men at the table swallowed the fear in his throat and began to reply, "Sir I highly recommend we move the 2nd fleet to reinforce the 3rd fleet. She is currently 7 ships strong and can hold the blockade until we decide what to do further. Also, I recommend we begin moving artillery to all border outposts and securing those locations with more troops. We have 4,600 men ready to deploy at your command." Walker beamed and replied, "Now THAT is a true Esstovakian man, you all should take tips from him. Do it immediately, reinforce the 3rd fleet and get those troops deployed to the border. Order them to be on guard, if the Eemerians become hostile they are to take action immediately. That will be all, thank you." The men gathered around the table stood, saluted, and began shuffling out of the room as fast as they could. President Walker sat back in his seat as the aide poured him another drink. He looked at the map of Eemeria on the table, it was marked with locations that would be key for setting up labor camps when they finally storm the Eemerian border and put her people back in their place, beneath Esstovakia's boot. He smiled and sipped away at his drink as he relished the thought of it.

Bridgeton Border, Esstovakian Side

The Esstovakian trucks came to a stop when they reached the bridge separating the two countries in conflict. The members of the state police occupying them stepped out of the vehicles and walked towards the center of the bridge followed by three hooded individuals in handcuffs behind them. The three hooded individuals were stumbling and struggling to stay on their feet as the soldiers prodded them with their weapons. The Esstovakian state police waited at the center of the bridge until an Eemerian officer and two soldiers came to meet them. The Esstovakian soldier said nothing except to order his men to bring the three hooded individuals forward. The Esstovakian soldiers shoved them forward causing them to fall in front of the Eemerians. The Esstovakian soldier then handed them an envelope, it held a letter that the Esstovakian president had written himself.
The letter read: "Good Evening people of Eemeria. I know you are angry, but you need not be angry with me or with the people of Esstovakia, but with your government. For they have led you down a path of betrayal and deceit. They have abused the Esstovakian people and used us for their own greed and lust for power. We want to free you from these chains though. In order to do that though we must take action. Our first step is to reclaim control of ancient Esstovakian lands that were stolen from us in the early days of the Eemerian Esstovakian formation. Inside this letter are a list of cities and regions on Eemerian soil that sit on our border that you will immediately vacate. If you do so peacefully then there will be no bloodshed. If your government and your people refuse then we will take our case in front of the World Assembly and be granted approval to remove you by force. If that is the path that must be taken then there will be bloodshed. I know this all seems sudden but until this is done we will not release any more of your captured countrymen. In fact, we will begin executing them one by one for every day you refuse to vacate our rightful lands. As a token of our sincerity to keep up our side of the bargain, I have ordered the release of three of these men arrested by our military after they began hostilities against us. They have been taught their lesson, as you will soon learn. I hope you make the right choice. "
The Esstovakian soldier laughed as they turned to board their vehicles. He knew that Eemeria would soon bow under the true might of Esstovakia, all of Esstovakia knew.

Josiah's calmness and certainty about the situation calmed David. He needed to hear what he was saying, and so did the Eemerian people. With the support of the international community then maybe, just maybe, he could bring the Eemerian people to understand why he was so hesitant about invasion. Yes he wanted his people free, but he wanted to do it in a way that would not bring conflict crashing down on the great nation of Eemeria. His people had been through way too much these past 10 years and he could not just sent them into war so hastily. He sighed and responded, "I thank you for your even head Josiah. I appreciate the support you and your people have given us. Without it we could very well be standing alone against the Esstovakians. I do need your help in showing them that we will not be pushed back though, reports are coming in that they are beginning to amass troops at the border, including mechanized divisions. I need the help of you and our allies. I will hold my hand when it comes to war but something must be done swiftly to show strength. I will trust you judgement on this." David sat back and looked out the window of the limo as they began to approach the Royal Residence, "[I]Josiah, I would like to welcome you to my residence, here you will be taken care of during your stay. We have a joint press conference tomorrow morning but until then I have to go handle my cabinet. I wish I could stay and be a hospitable host but my staff will take care of you. Again, I thank you for coming and I hope for a swift resolution to this conflict.[/I}" David stepped out of the vehicle as one of the guards on duty opened the door for him and Josiah.

We have just received reports here at EWN that the Esstovakians have released 3 of the soldiers captured by their military a few days ago in the Bridgeton base incident. Insider sources have reported the earlier this morning Esstovakian state police showed up at the Bridgeton Eemerian outpost and handed over 3 individuals. Their identities, or their current state, have not been released to the public. The Department of Defense and Royal Residence have so far refused to comment on the release of these individuals. Alongside that there are rumors that a letter was delivered to the Eemerian president that was handed to Eemerian soldiers with the individuals. Nobody has yet reported what this letter said or if it even came from the Esstovakian government but we do know that Eemerian naval forces have begun groupie at Naval Base Morticio outside Gracemeria. Military analysts say this is in response to the shipping lane blockade currently being carried out by Esstovakian forces. Esstovakian news channels are also reporting that said blockade is in the process of being reinforced by ships from Esstovakias 2nd fleet, the infamous fleet that helped carry out the invasion of Gracemeria years ago. We currently have little evidence to support this but we will keep you updated as more information becomes available to us.

Premier Kostantin Rachevsky stood proudly atop a balcony, cheering crowds below. He had just delivered the monthly national address when he was notified to discuss important matters ASAP. He recedes from the balcony and back into the building where he is greeted by The Minister of the Exterior, Yosef Pukachev. 'Sir, I have been notified of the developments in the region surrounding Esstovakia, and the nation itself. They appear to be going out of their to threaten regional stability Armed forces are mobilizing and public addresses released by Esstovakia have been increasingly anti-Eemerian. Devonta, an ally of Eemeria has even announced a public condemnation against them.' Rachevsky asked, 'Why did I tell you to take keen interest the region again?' The premier, in all his glory, forgot. 'Well, it was around the nation's status as one in the final state of capitalist decay; ripe for revolution. The masses are hungry, the coorporations all-powerful, the 1%-' He was cut by Rachevsky before he could finish. '-Rule above all. Ahhh. Of course.' He showed deep concern, but also interest in his facial expressions. 'We must take action. This opportunity cannot be missed. Those coporate injustices you speak of, they must be stopped. The people have nowhere to turn. They are too poor to flee, and their homeland treats them like unwanted refugees. If we offer them a solution, perhaps we can arrange it so a proper government can be set up this time, whether through force of arms or otherwise.'

The following day, Premier Rachevsky released a live statement on Esstovakia. Lakhovians tuned in to watch:
'Citizens of Lakhovia. I must regret to inform that Marx's writings have been realized. The state known as Esstovakia is in the final stages of of capitalist decay. It is a decadent, corporate-backed set of crumbling institutions whose rubble falls onto their citizens. They are hungry, they are oppressed, they want change. Lakhovia herself knows that, having been raised from her feudal shackles a lifetime ago. Therefore she is taking action against the unlawful state of Esstovakia, through force of arms or otherwise.'

Most were cheering, wanting to spread the revolution. But some were worried. Lakhovia's military developments, though great and large, may crack under the weight of the Esstovakian Armed Forces. They hoped to achieve their goals without spilling Lakhovian blood, and little do they know, that is what the Premier is planning...

Norddenavic Royal Monarchy Press Release

The King and Queen of Norddenavic have formally released a statement regarding the crisis in the nation of Esstovakia, one of their continental neighbors. The people of Norddenavic stand by any and all refugees who feel threatened by this conflict. We will welcome any with welcome arms who feel they must flee their nation in search of safe lands. We will continue to support our close allies Eemeria, but only in a diplomatic fashion. The kingdom of Norddenavic has always and will always be a neutral party. We will not commit any of our military to support any side of this conflict. Instead we will continue to urge both parties involved to find a diplomatic resolution to this problem. Norddenavic is always willing to be a neutral location for any discussions of peace required to bring this all to a close. The King and Queen will be reaching out to leaders of both nations to invite them to meet with us and find a solution. We want to again repeat our willingness for any refugees to make a new home here in Norddenavic.

We wish for a swift end to this needless conflict between two nations who we share a continent with.

Outside on the front steps of the central military command of Eemeria, Chief Admiral Davis was speaking at a press conference being held by the Royal Navy of Eemeria. He was an older but clearly well maintained man who's presence echoed in any room he walked into. He began speaking when the crowd of reporters finally settled down, "At 800 hours today, the country of Esstovakia began taking hostile actions both in Eemerian waters and on Eemerian soil. They have demanded that our nation turn over land and cities that are the rightful property of Eemeria, not Esstovakia. They have also begun amassing troops all along our border in an attempt to force us to stand down. On the order of the Eemerian parliament the royal armed forces are to begin further reinforcing our borders as well as our waters to secure our sovereign lands. No official declaration of war has been voted into law but the state of emergency has risen. At 1400 hours today the Eemerian 2nd fleet will depart from its home dock and begin heading to confront the Esstovakian fleet currently blocking passage into our waters. The fleet will escort any and all friendly ship attempting to transverse this path and will respond to hostilities with fire. The Eemerian military will not allow our land to be taken or our borders to be compromised. That I promise you. Any further questions regarding the policy decisions can be directed to parliament and any military questions to the office of the Eemerian military command. Thank You."

Royal Residence, Gracemeria, Eemeria

Prime Minister David Archelius was sitting at his desk when he received the news that parliament had formally ordered a military reaction to both
Esstovakia's blockade of economic shipping lanes and troops at the border. He was conflicted, on one hand he wanted to order all available Eemerian forces to push the Esstovakian's back, and on the other hand he didn't want another war to plague his people. He looked out the window over the great city of Gracemeria, a city still rebuilding from its last war. How could he ask his people to fight again, he had to or they would not be asked....they would be told just like they were last time. He walked back to his desk and looked at the order sitting in front of him, if he signed it Eemeria would officially be at war with Esstovakia. All forces would begin engaging Esstovakian forces at the border and in the water. He only needed to sign it and the full force of the Eemerian navy would be brought to combat the Esstovakians and their rising threat. He couldn't make this decision alone. He pushed a button on his desk and told his assistant to ask for the Devontian president to be asked to come to the situation room located in the basement, they would make this decision as allies.

Eemerian 2nd Fleet, Port of Gracemeria, Eemeria
Captain Thomas Chandler, E.M.S. Marigold II, 2nd Fleet Flagship

Captain Chandler stood at the bridge of the mighty E.M.S. Marigold II, the descendant of the Marigold, hero ship of the Eemerian/Esstovakian war. He was honored to be the captain of one of the strongest ships in the Eemerian navy, and one of the newest ones at that. His ship received the orders from the Eemerian military command that morning to begin preparations to move the ships to engage the Esstovakian fleet blockading the Fren Canal. The Marigold II would be accompanied by 5 other navy ships. Another battleship much like the Marigold, two cruisers, an amphibious assault ship, and a destroyer. This fleet would be responsible for pushing the first Esstovakian blockade back before they reinforce them. Part of the Eemerian home defense fleet will break off to further reinforce the blockade over the next few days. He was ready to finally have this conflict resolved, hopefully with a little push back the Esstovakians would back down.

The Captain decided to take a walk on the deck of the ship and survey things before they took off, just to make sure everything seemed ship shape. He was walking towards the port bow talking to one of the deck officers when he heard yelling coming from the other side of the ship. Him and the deck officer started running towards the other side of the ship. They got to the railing and looked out with the other crew members who were forming a crowd and saw smoke pouring from one of the doors on the side of the E.M.S. Remington, the amphibious assault ship docked next to them. Captain Chandler started yelling instructions at the men around him to try and see what was going on as he looked at the crew of the Remington come running out from belowdecks. All of a sudden the side of the Remington exploded outwards sending shrapnel hurling towards the Marigold. The last thing Captain Chandler saw was a piece of metal flying a him before he went unconscious.

We have urgent news coming to you from the capital of Gracemeria. The Eemerian fleet stationed there was attacked earlier today in what military officials are calling a calculated attack. The Eemerian government currently believes this is in response to the situation currently taking place in Esstovakia. Initial reports show though that the bomb was not of Esstovakian origin. Military officials say that the bomb was of Delarus origin. Delarus is a nation that resides on Eemeria's continental neighbor of Usea. No other comment has been made and the Eemerian military is not currently seeking retaliation against the Delarus nation until more info is available.

ISAF HIGH COMMAND, NORTH POINT, NORTH POINT

General Brad West and the vice-leader of ISAF were gathered in a meeting room with continental and national police officials hailing from Delarus. The general was there to make sure that there wouldn't need to be any direct military action in Delarus would be taken. One of the CLE(Continental Law Enforcement) officials started, "Gentlemen, we haven't had any contact from Emmeria yet, but what we know is that the Emmerians are reporting that the bomb that went off in their harbor is connected to us in some way, specifically Delarus." "That's why I've gathered you gentlemen here today, because if there's something that we don't need going on, it's distrust between countries, especially continents. If what the Emmerian's are saying is true then I'll have to let the police take over, which is you guys. General West, as some of you may know, is here to make sure that no direct military action is necessary. We are leaving this to the continental and national police to solve. I want cooperation going on between both of your departments, if I see that anything is going South, I'm pulling both of your departments and will make this a continental operation only and have new staff running the show. Now if you don't mind, I have more important business to attend to. General West will be here to make sure that nothing comes to ISAF needing to take direct action. I'll leave you to your business." The vice-leader of ISAF then got up and walked out of the room. One of the officials, a continental law enforcement official, then took charge. "Alright first order of business, get into contact with the Emmerians to make sure that this is really a problem originating from Usea specifically Delarus. I'll handle that end. I want all of you to fill out these papers I have here. They have contact info and other important items that I need to make sure we all keep in contact. I'll let you guys fill these out while I make a video call." The official then handed out the papers and walked out the door, went across the hall and into an office. He then sat down, turned on a desktop, looked at one of his sticky notes on the desktop, and began typing some information into a application on the computer. Within 2 minutes, a video link was being established with an Emmerian police official.

The Presidents Senior Adviser - Maria - quickly walked through the vast large halls of the Eemerian Royal Residence, home to the Eemerian Prime Minister. Maria and the two Devontan Presidential Guards following her managed to avoid the vast amounts of media and staff crowding the hallways. Sense the Devontan delegation had arrived in the residence there had been much uproar in the building. Government and media officials were all over the building during the time of crisis. Maria was only trying to find one such official, Devontan Secretary of State Joseph Ivory.

Maria rounded a corner and spotted the tall lanky graying man talking to diplomats from the Eemerian Foreign Ministry. She slowly approached them. "Hello, boys! Can I take him from you for one second?" Maria smiled as she gestured towards the Devontan Secretary.

"Of course, madam!" Exclaimed the Eemerian diplomats smiling. They nodded their heads as if to say goodbye and walked off.

Maria turned her attention to Joseph. "The National Assembly and Senate passed our use of force resolution just a few minutes ago. Our forces now have a green light to deploy. Our Defense Secretary Chuck needs to be given the go ahead by Josiah, you know where he is? His phone and communications link seem to be off."

Joseph replied. "Good to hear, Maria. The Presidents been gone most the day. I think he's keeping to himself in his personal quarters. I can notify him if you need me to?" He paused and realized he forgot to say something. "Oh... and remember the deployment shouldn't be made public. All the public and the Esstovakians need to know is that we have forces on alert." Exclaimed Joseph.

Maria smiled. "I'll remind Chuck and no need Joey. I got it." She patted Joseph on the arm as she walked passed him, heading to the Devontan Presidents quarters.

As she approached the presidents quarters, she greeted the two guard personnel posted at the door. She knocked loudly on the door. "Sir, its me Maria. I have some good news!" To Maria's surprise the door opened quickly. Maria was almost caught off guard by the Devontan president. "What is it, Maria?" Asked Josiah as he quickly put on his black suit jacket.

"Congress has approved our measures regarding Esstovakia. Whats the rush, sir?" Maria asked. Josiah smirked. "Good. Tell Chuck he has my blessings and the Prime Minister called me to his situation room. He must have updates regarding this crisis. Come with me Maria."

"Yes, sir." She replied. The two friends began there walk to the Eemerian situation room.

Naval Base Northern - Big Netyana Island - 9/04/18 - 1:45 PM

Upon receiving word of their deployment from the Devontan Department of Defense, several elements of the 2nd Task Force/3rd Fleet began to mobilize. Just hours before, they had been put on high alert by Devontan Naval Command, due to their proximity to Eemeria and Esstovakia. At that time the ships, sailors, and marines of the naval task force were on a routine home port visit. The mobilization happened in tandem with two of the 3rd Fleets submarine forc wolfpacks, who were based at Submarine Base Olson in Mawda, Grenopia. The 3rd Submarine Force was just recently based at Olson after its construction in March. Before the submarine force had been based with the 4th Task Force/3rd Fleet in Neo Phoenicia for two long years.

Luckily for the wolfpacks, they were on route to Naval Base Northern already, when they were initially put on high alert status by Naval Command. The submarines were only 200 kilometers east of the Netyana Islands territory at the of there call and had been directed to continue west towards the islands. Now the Fuscum and Arctic Seas would be their new destinations.

The Devontan Navies most northern naval base on the globe became very busy after the orders to deploy to Eemeria. The base - Northern - had been constructed by the Devontan Navy in 2013, after the Netyana Islands were purchased from the nation of Dei Gentem. Under direction of Devontan Naval Command, the chosen ships of the 2nd Task Force would separate into two smaller elements as they approached the Arctic Sea. One element would would move just 200 kilometers north of Esstovakia's most northern island territories (this element includes an addition of 6,000 combat-ready Devontan Marines separated into three brigades), while the second would take a slightly longer course and move 750 kilometers away from the Esstovakian west coast. The fleet was not meant to be threatening in any sense, so distance would be kept. But the distance the Devontan vessels would be to Esstovakia was short and could made up fast, if the Esstovakians chose war with Eemeria. Other parts of the task force would remain alert at Naval Base Northern in reserve.

The first of the two wolfpacks consisted of two Nihonese designed Edo-class submarines and three Nihonese designed X-Ray II-class submarines. Both classes, although Nihonese designed, were domestically produced in Devonta. The second wolfpack consisted of three more X-Ray II-class submarines and two Devontan designed Kanza-class submarines (usually fleet submarines but two of each fleet given to Navy submarine forces). The submarines were some of the silentest submarines in service of any navy and packed more then enough modern armament, consisting of torpedoes, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, naval mines, and AshMs. Expertly designed to easily evade and strike naval carrier groups of modern blue-water navies. All were dedicated capital ship killers but also excelled in anti-submarine warfare and intelligence gathering.

The duel wolfpacks of the 3rd Submarine Force only had about 3,000 kilometers to travel. They were given orders to cruise at 30 knots till they reached the eastern entrance of the Fuscum Sea, before slowing down to their typical stealth speed of 9 knots and moving into the thermocline layer of the ocean to maintain stealth, then they would assume individually assigned square grid positions 100 kilometers outside the Fren Canal and Esstovakian northern islands. All this while navigating around Esstovakian territorial waters. It would take an estimated three to four days to achieve this objective and once there the submarines would began conducting SIGINT, ELINT, and COMINT operations on Esstovakian forces in the area of operations around the Fren Canal.

Devontan admirals quickly chose an elements of the task force most suited for the mission. They had to make heist, with a 25 knot cruising speed to there destinations. It would take an estimated 2 days for the first element to reach their objective, while the second would take 3 days. Like the submarine force, the task force aimed to stay hundreds of kilometers away from Esstovakian territorial waters. Devonta had to be careful not to inflame any fighting. The task forces sole Watson Class SIGINT Ship -USDS Nicolas Mueller - was equipped with satellite dazzling equipment to damage and blind any enemy satellites that decided to roam over the task force. Although, intelligence collected by the Devontan military allowed the task force to chart a path around any possible satellites by watching their orbit, which would be quite easy.

Routine anti-submarine patrols would be carried out by MH-60Rs patrolling in 200 kilometer arcs. Two E-2Ds would stay on routine combat air control 450 kilometers away from the fleet at all times (100 kilometers when closer to objectives). AWACS support was key due to its important recon role on the battlefield, Devontan naval doctrine never allowed its ships to go in any area blind. One AWACS used active radar homing, while the other used passive homing. This was a strategy to detect possible enemy AWACS at any given time. Also included in the combat air patrol were various flights of Devontan Navy A18N0s, F/A-70s, FQ-41As, and the Devontan Marine Corps F/A-60F.

Meanwhile...

Devontan RORSAT's and ELINT satellites of the Devontan Air Force and Navy started to conduct intelligence gathering operations over Eemeria and Esstovakia. Satellites began to focus heavily around the Eemerian-Esstovakian border and Esstovakian ports. Devontan military intelligence actively began sharing and relaying information to there Eemerian counterparts. Commander actively pushed there Eemerian allies to conduct intelligence operations more aggressively. Large Esstovakian military formations like headquarters, supply depots, radar installations, etc were now being mapped and recorded for attempted targeting. To support this effort Devontan ground forces had to deploy, albeit in small numbers.

The first deployment of ground forces would mobilize at Berojorson Air Force Base in Olfsburgh, Skandia. The forces included 5 teams of 20 men from the Devontan Air Forces Air Combat Control Group that would be deployed on the Eemerian side of the Eemerian-Esstovakian border with Eemerian military units and actively conduct intelligence gathering force analysis operations on Esstovakian military units on the borders. The information that could potentially be provided by the combat controlmen could be used in air and artillery strike if the crisis began to get out of hand. Other ground units included in the deployment were the 558 personnel of the Devontan Armies 47th Ballistic Missile Battalion and 408 personnel from the Devontan Coastal Defense Forces 308th Coastal Defense Battalion.

Both battalions were used in Devontan military formations for area denial purposes. The 47th would deploy itself 100 kilometers away from the Eemerian-Esstovakian border and move locations every couple hours to avoid any form of detection from enemy surveillance forces. The Ballistic Missile Battalion was equipped with three whole batteries of SRBM-12s and an air defense company supplemented by long range mobile radar systems.

Its Coastal Defense Force counterpart - the 308th - would deploy to the southern Eemerian coastline aiming its three batteries of NY-4 TELs and three batteries of Type 1254s at the Fren Canal. Like its army counterpart, its batteries would move every couple hours to avoid detection and strikes. Also, like its army counterpart, the battalion is supported by an air defense company with its own radars.

Transporting Devontan assets to Eemeria was not a problem. A flight of 5 Devontan Navy E-19Ns would fly Devontan forces into Eemeria and land at an Eemerian Air Force Base in eastern Eemeria, under the cover of darkness over the next hours. Devontan military planners made sure the large transports would only move through international and Eemerian airspace not close to Esstovakia. Two flights of Devontan Air Force A18N0s would help escort the naval planes.

The Ministry of State has already expressed Elmyran displeasure to the blockade as well as the expulsion of Eemrian citizens from Esstovakia which has hurt complicated business partnerships based in the Anean continent."

"Curious you say we have expressed displeasure, to the Esstovakians? Why haven't they responded?"

"Simply because expressing displeasure is vastly different and most importantly more polite than out right condemnation of the actions taken by the Esstovakian government which has political and economical implications behind it."

"You make it sound like there are consequences that the Federation is tip toeing around when it comes to this crisis.

"That's because the Chancellor's administration is tip toeing, our economic relationship with Eemeria is being put into some jeopardy already and acting unilaterally can close the Esstovakian supply of bauxite and other raw materials used in our IT industries. There's also a humanitarian issue here, Elmyra excepted many refugees from Esstovakia following the planet fall of that terrible asteroid that struck their corner of the world. We funded aid to help rebuild the country before and only stopped due to the rise of the infamous 'Generals' Should war break out on the Anean continent again it would mean only more suffering. The Chancellor had hoped the situation would resolve itself but from what I'm hearing the Ministry of Foriegn Affairs and the Office of the Chancellor will be taking a hands on approach to maintaining peace in the region. However should diplomacy fail we should expect to see a more aggressive stance to be adopted against Esstovakia despite the commercial consequences. "

The High Chancellor of The Elmyran Federation sat at his desk watching the FNN news broadcast as the host and her pundit reviewed the talking points surrounding the crisis.
"How did we get here sir, Esstovakia was to turn over a new leaf following the last war. We might not have all the facts but it seems they're biting the hand that feeds." Said the minister of state Friedrich Arynn a gentleman whose lankiness was noticeable even as he sat comfortably in the leather chair across from his superior.

"Look at the way things have been going ever since the asteroid fell it's been nothing but trouble look how many wars have spawned simply because of the devastation it caused. Esstovakia invaded Eemeria last time because they needed resources to recover from Ulysses and the civil war brought about from the destabilization the asteroid caused in the first place. 'The hand that feeds is precisely' why the Esstovakians are angry they are resentful and angry over lost pride and are lashing out."

"Well keeping the peace is possible your excellency but it all depends on how the two parties conduct themselves however something tells me the Esstovakians won't budge, about this bomb from Delraus we are unsure what it means for now however it could be Delarus' attempt at driving the two nation's to war but to have Delarus so easily implicated means an incredibly amateur sabotage operation was carried out here or there is another part at work here."

However those of us in the Federation are well aware it is simple enough for us to say that peace is the highroad while we sit on this precarious balance far from crisis and harm. However the seemingly lofty ideals of peace and understanding can be easily communicated and more eagerly sought after by seeing what it provides for the smallest element. The people, the people of both your countries both the soldiers and civilians patriot or peace lover have nothing to gain from chaos and war. I urge both nations to take one step back and examine things from a calmer perspective. I propose a cooperative investigation into the matter at Bridgeton one headed by a third party, where Eemerian soldiers and the Esstovakian officials present can testify under oath about the incident, All to be corroborated by hard evidence such as surveillance recordings and such on site. Elmyra stands ready to make contact with the World Assembly on the behalf of both. At the very least an independent investigation and tribunal proceeding can get to the truth of this incident and how to move forward with an understanding can be a joint effort. Please I urge you to remember the results of the last war between your two nation remember that even though some of your peoples may call for war and action remember you have a duty to ensure their safety prosperity and success.

If what the Emmerian's are saying is true then I'll have to let the police take over, which is you guys. I want cooperation going on between both of your departments, if I see that anything is going South, I'm pulling both of your departments and will make this a continental operation only and have new staff running the show. The vice-leader of ISAF then got up and walked out of the room. One of the officials, a continental law enforcement official, then took charge. "Alright first order of business, get into contact with the Emmerians to make sure that this is really a problem originating from Usea specifically Delarus. I'll handle that end. I want all of you to fill out these papers I have here. They have contact info and other important items that I need to make sure we all keep in contact. I'll let you guys fill these out while I make a video call." The official then handed out the papers and walked out the door, went across the hall and into an office. He then sat down, turned on a desktop, looked at one of his sticky notes on the desktop, and began typing some information into a application on the computer. Within 2 minutes, a video link was being established with an Emmerian police official.

Gracemerian Central Police Department, Situation Room

Police Commissioner Anika Watts was sitting in the situation room in the central police building of the capital city Gracemeria. She was dealing with not just the regular happenings of the day but more importantly, the bombing that took place at the port of Gracemeria today. The initial response was handled by the navy forces on the base but because it happened within the Gracemeria city limits the police department had to be involved. They were conducting the initial investigation until the feds could organize. So far all they knew was that the bomb originated from Delarus, a nation from the continent of Usea. Luckily there few civilian casualties but the dock and boat were severely damaged. 14 navy sailors were killed in the attack and another 30 were receiving car at a local hospital. The ship that was attacked didn't sink but navy officials were still watching it to make sure it stayed floating while emergency repairs were being conducted. The central government was being suspiciously tight lipped on it and the only thing they had communicated to the commissioner was to not release anything without running it by the ministry of defense first. This made it super difficult to coordinate investigators and response units as communication lines were tight.

She was looking over some documents regarding the shrapnel of the bomb when one of the officers walked over to here. "Ma'am we have an incoming call from the Usean police force. Its an official regarding the bombing." Anika nodded and told him to put it through. She looked at the screen to see a man sitting at a desk on the other end of the call. "What can I do for you?", she said with a slight annoyance in her life. She wasn't too keen on conversing with Usean officials after what one of their nations was just involved in. She wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because anybody could've gotten their hands on a Delarus bomb, but it was odd that it came from so far.

Gracemeria Royal Residence, Eemeria, Primary Situation Room

Prime Minister David Archelius was standing at the head of the long table looking down at the screen in front of him as one of his military advisors explained the plans on the screen to him. He nodded and looked up as President Josiah of Devonta walked in. He gave him half a smile and motioned him over. When he got to him he shook his hand and said, "Josiah, thank you for getting here so quickly. As I'm sure you know parliament voted to take action against the Esstovakians before I could make the decision myself. It's not exactly how I wanted it to happen but its clear that the people and parliament are ready to fight back. That being said I am still going to make sure we do this the right way. My chiefs of the military have been in contact with your military leadership to begin joint operations. I know this is a sensitive situation so I want to take it slowly."

As he was talking to Josiah one of his aides came rushing into the room. He walked up to the prime minister and whispered in his ear. The look on David's face went from calm yet serious to distraught. He looked over at the group of military officials talking in the corner as they looked up at him, receiving the same news he had. He picked up the remotes for one of the many tvs on the wall and turned it on. It immediately turned on to show a live shot of smoke rising from the Gracemeria royal port. He looked back at the military officials and demanded "Why did I not hear about this already? What is going on? When did this happen?[/I}" The military officials scrambled to figure out who would answer when finally one of the women in the group spoke up, "[I]I'm sorry sir, the explosion took us by surprise. We are just now hearing about it to. It just happened minutes ago, we don't know anything else yet.....just that an explosion occurred on one of the naval ships in the harbor." David looked at the tv and brought his hand up to his head. He didn't know what to say. Then it all became clear to him, he knew what he had to do. He spoke to the military officials gathered in the room. "I want you all to listen to me very carefully. I want all available naval assets in the area to be mobilized and to immediately head to the canal, I want all Esstovakian ships pushed back whether by force or not. I also want all available divisions of the army and marines to be moved to the border post haste. If this was Esstovakia we will immediately take military action against them to secure our borders and free up our waters. I wasn't sure about war before, but I am now." The military officials nodded, saluted, and begin leaving the room to carry out the orders.

He turned to Josiah and said, "Whether or not Devonta is ready for it. Eemeria is going to war. I hope your nation will support us but if not I understand."

As the video call was answered the CLE official, Chad Banks, who was leading the investigation team, perked up. "Good afternoon ma'am I'm Continental Special Agent Banks, I was calling you to see if you guys could answer a few questions for us." Banks said as he looked down at his paper that was full of notes of what questions he was going to ask. "So our reports say that the official report on this bombing is saying that this bomb is of Delarus origin. Of course you and I know this bomb could've come from anywhere, however since one of our countries on this continent has been brought into this situation, we have to get involved as well. I was wondering if we could get all of your findings from the ongoing investigation, since the bombing happened outside our borders we cannot go overseas to investigate ourselves unless we are given special permission by the country itself. We're fully willing to work with you guys on this investigation and figuring out where this bomb came from. We just need your department's cooperation in this matter. You do your part, we'll do ours. Also we have already made a list of some Usean terror groups that could be behind this, and some other international terror groups as well. One of them at the top of our list is the Cult of Ulysses. If you want more information on this group or you want the full list, we can send your department the full watchlist of terror groups and their information. Like I said we're willing to work with you on this if you guys are."

President Walker was sitting back in his chair smirking as he watched the news playing on the tv in his office. He laughed to himself as he saw the news play regarding the explosion in Eemeria. The Eemerians thought they could fight back, but what they wouldn't expect is that the Esstovakians would play dirty. The Delarus bomb was a good touch, the Eemerians would be scrambling to put the pieces together and while they did that the Esstovakians could begin executing their plans to push the Eemerians back off the border.

He was still watching the news when the Grand Marshal of the armed forces came walking into his office. The tall and sturdy man saluted as he stopped in front of President Walker's desk. The president stood up and saluted back then shook the man's hand. "This is a great day for our nation my friend. Today we officially strike back at the Eemerians and show them that we will not be toyed with any longer. Where are we at with the strike plans?" The man smiled and responded, "Sir, I have wonderful news for you. The explosion distracted the Eemerian central government and we have begun moving troops en masse to the border to begin storming their outposts. The third and fourth divisions have already begin moving against the Eemerian troops at the Bridgeton base location to secure the bridge that we require to keep moving assets across the border. The fifth wing of the eastern air force detachment is loading up to take landing locations across the border. Once this is done we will set up forward bases to further reinforce our positions. The second fleet reinforcements have arrived at the Fen canal to reinforce the ships already there. The delay caused by the explosion means that we were able to reinforce our ships before the Eemerians could move their navy to push us back. Overall things are going to plan, unfortunately though the international community has begun working against us. The Devontian government has spoke out against us and we are pretty sure they are prepping their government although our intelligence communities have nothing definitive yet." President Walker seemed annoyed for a second but quickly flipped back to being in a good mood. Everything was going to plan and a few foolish countries supporting a soon to be dead nation would not ruin his day. "[I]Nothing to worry about my friend, I will handle the other nations, we have plenty of allies who will help us. Now, you go make sure that we take those positions successfully. We have much work to do.[I]", he said with a smile. The Grand Marshal nodded, saluted, and left the room. President Walker sat back down at his computer where the telegram from the nation of Elmyra. He grimaced as he read it, diplomacy he thought...what a foolish idea. He began typing a response as he thought about his nations grand success infant of him.

Bridgeton Crossing, Esstovakia/Eemerian Border

The Esstovakian troops has quietly been assembling both troops and artillery along the border facing the Eemerian outpost on the other side. They were able to distract the Eemerians with small arms fire along the bridge to keep them from noticing the larger movement of troops. The Eemerians on the front line had not yet received the news about the strike on the capital city so they did not expect a full conflict quite yet. The Esstovakians had moved their MSTA-S artillery tanks to positions where they could strike the Eemerians from a distance where they couldn't immediately fire back. The Esstovakian ground troops had also began forming across the river with inflatable boats to traverse the river. Once the artillery started firing they would begin crossing the river and take the Eemerian troops by surprise.

The Esstovakian commander was sitting in the command post a mile back from the border where a few of the Artillery cannons were stationed. He was smiling as he was listening over the radio at the squadron leaders radioing in their confirmation that they were prepared to strike. He was awaiting the final confirmation then he would radio back to the primary HQ to receive final fire orders from the generals. He finally received the final confirmation and he picked up the phone and began talking. He reported to the generals back at the capital that troops were ready to attack. Transports upon transports of troops were prepared to begin crossing the border and secure the outposts as forward bases of operations.

Back at the capital the Generals were seated in a room with President Walker as they all watched the situation screen in the center of the room. This screen displayed troop positions and showed them confirmation signals from along the border. The Bridgeton border wasn't the only location that the Esstovakians planned on crossing. Multiple border crossing attacks had been planned in order to secure Eemerian secure locations to begin their invasion. The General in charge of sending out the attack order looked over at President Walker who smiled and nodded. The Esstovakian general spoke back into the phone and relayed the attack command to all Esstovakian commanders at the border.

All along the Eemerian/Esstovakian border artillery guns began firing in tandem, sending their shells firing towards the Eemerian troops. Following the firing of the cannons the Esstovakian troops began boarding their boats or storming the fence with trucks and tanks depending on where they were at. The artillery shells slammed into the Eemerian positions lighting up the outposts with explosions. The Esstovakians had officially begun their attack on the Eemerians. Back at the capital President Walker sat back in his chair with a smirk on his face.
