Introduction:
The United Galactic Republic is an extremely loose confederation of sovereign worlds united for the greater good of the Galaxy. Formed 750 years after the devastation of the Cybernetic Wars, the Republic stands as a beacon of democracy and freedom for all sentient life forms. The Galactic Senate based on the massive city planet of Cosmopolis represents the trillions upon trillions of citizens across the sea of stars. All hosts of alien civilizations hold seats in the Galactic Senate with member worlds ranging from iron fist dictatorships to absolute monarchies, to full-fledged democracies.

These member worlds may as well be considered independent nations. The Republic is so vast that it is difficult to keep a sense of unity amongst the diverse and disparate alien species that call this galaxy home. Indeed the only thing that unites the galaxy is trade and a common currency the credit which is cherished in both the bustling metropolises of the Core Worlds and impoverished backwaters of the Outer Rim. As such warfare is common amongst certain worlds and planets that command representation in the Senate wield substantial influence and prestige in galactic politics and affairs some more than others.

Senators can push legislation to resolve conflicts between warring worlds, determine interstellar policy,'and raise taxes. Right now the Republic lacks an army with member planets relying on their own militaries and militias for defense. For a bill to become galactic law requires majority approval rating between the senators. For now, sovereignty lays with the member worlds the Republic lacks an executive branch to enforce policy although that may change in the future if members worlds are willing to vest more power into the national government.


Game Mechanics
Each player will roleplay as a senator and planet in the game. You will have liberty in describing the culture, economy, and politics of your sovereign planet, and rather it has senatorial status or not. Keep in mind that the Republic is divided into different regions, with stark differences much as the United States. The Core worlds are extremely wealthy and host to the banking, trade and financial sectors, with citizens, often afforded a high standard of living and service droids relegated to the menial tasks. The Mid-Rim worlds are host to the manufacturing and agricultural sectors and are less wealthy than the Core Worlds, still a strong and viable middle class is found here. The Outer-Rim worlds are the poorest and most maligned of the Republic, agriculture is the main way of life, slavery and organized crime run rampant here, the Republic having little sway in how things are run those parts.

This is a dice roleplay your senator and planet can perform certain actions rather raise taxes, fund certain programs and policies, and raise a militia to defend yourself. The Galactic Senate meets once every page and each senator will have the chance to push his or her agenda. Whatever policy is enacted by the Senate will have a great impact on the Galaxy positive or negative, a successful economic policy could kickstart a boom or alternatively lead to a depression, certain policies could further unite the galaxy or push partisan rifts leading to civil war so think carefully about the type of laws you pass as a senator.

If this roleplay proves popular I'll expand the roles people can play intergalactic corporations, trade unions, organizations and guilds and even criminal syndicates or individual reporters, journalists etc who can influence what course the Republic takes on.

Your nation will have two +1's and one -1 to stat the following stats, you may choose. This is a mechanical choice but you choose how it manifests. IE: giving yourself +1 to military could mean you have a nation with an advantage in manpower or a technological advantage. You can also put both your +1's on the same stat to make it a +2

Description: The planet of Grixus, once a dry continental planet with many different habitats, is now a hot city-planet, known for its buildings built like enormous canyons. The top of these buildings form a large sprawling desert, while the inside is kept at a comfortable temperature. Hard winds and dust storms make the planet surface nigh unlivable, but life inside the canyons and inside the cityxbuildings is comfortable enough.
Demographics: The planet is an incredibly diverse one, with an incredible multitude of species performing all kinds of different jobs. It is hard to give demographics, as none of the species hold above 1 or 2% of the population. Population growth, as a consequence, is not natural, and rather brought about by both enslaving and immigration.
Culture: Like the demographics, the culture of the peoples is incredibly diverse. There is a general veneration of the High Ones, but in many different forms. There is simply not one majority culture, and the culture of the people tends to be incredibly fluid and ever-changing.
Government: There are local forms of government across the planet, made up of all kinds of species, but the central government of the planet is solely made up of High Ones, or Serdeti as they call themselves. The Serdeti use among themselves a kind of direct democracy, wherein every member of the species can turn up to a given meeting to voice their opinion and initiate a vote. This vote can contain almost anything, and can also change the makeup of the government. Usually it is democratically elected, but it is also possible to appoint oligarchs or dictators, as well as commissars or ruling councils. The government also once had a monarchic system, but nowadays it is democratically elected.

Description: The Serdedti are the result of a hundred-year project of gene modification. The original Serdeti were a regular race of aliens, living in search of absolute biological purity. After purging their planet of what they saw as weak genes, they went one step further. They spent their combined scientific power increasing their species genetic capabilities. They made themselves stronger, longer lived, immune to all disease. Eventually, they made themselves biologically immortal, meaning that they could not die by old age or disease. Then, believing that they had achieved biological perfection, they sterilised themselves, believing that could only bring mutations. They began to shun the sun and dangerous foods, only eating the healthiest vegetables and fruits, never eating meat, and generally keeping themselves in top condition. Whatever part of society didn’t agree with them was exterminated, and cloning was outlawed to stop new generations from being born. They called themselves the Last Generation, and waged a war of destruction all over the planet. From the ashes of an old society rose a new one. This society waged a crusade among the stars, stripping those planets bare of treasure and enslaving their populations to fight their wars and do their labours. Even the lowliest of the Serdeti became a king in his own right. However, over the years, numbers of Serdeti were killed, and over hundreds of years, the species whittled. Where used to be millions, there are now but scores left, lost in a thousand wars. The current Serdeti are isolationists, only trading with the world for slaves, hiding on their desert world to keep their species from extinction.

Description: A world about 125% the size of earth, blessed with mineral wealth and crystalline caves, the planet has almost no forest, mostly being savannah, prairie and dry flat terrain. 70% of the planet is covered in land, having no oceans only large lakes and rivers.

Demographics: Roughly 50% male and female, large middle class, Primarily native Dentali but also has a very cosmopolitan population with species from across the galaxy
Culture: A hard working family based people, the Dentali are known for their natural gift of engineering. Need an engine to run? Need to build a ship? Need to create a better way to mine a resource? Go to Dentali.

The Dentali are known to be extremely competitive and fiercely independent, valuing the ideals of individual liberty and prosperity above all else, any law imposed by the state must prove it has a minimal impact on the individual rights of citizens. This Egalitarian tradition has helped shape a large and complex Constitutional Republic that believes in the rights of ALL sentient life.

The Dentali have a deep fascination with the unknown, a curiosity and adventurous spirit which glorifies discovery and exploration. Private companies frequently send out expeditions both to seek out new resources and profits and to generate great prestige.

When it comes to war the Dentali rarely seek it, they have a standing military and fleet but it is not a major priority of the nation. When conflicts have arisen they have relied heavily on their massive industrial capacity, they are able to outproduce their enemies and quickly adapt new technologies, upgrading and innovating at a quick rate. If you are going to fight Dentali, make sure its a quick conflict.

While religion and philosophy exist in Dentali society, the emphasis on individualism has made a single unifying philosophy untenable. Dozens of faiths and ideologies are present on the planet and widely tolerated, provided the belief system does not impose will on others. More often than not though the people are materialist and pragmatist in natural, not focusing on spiritual matters.

The idealistic founding and guiding principles of Dentali have made it a free haven, where the tired, poor and huddled masses are all welcome regardless of species or origin, free to find prosperity on Dentali.



Government: Constitutional Republic, with a bicameral parliament with 2 major and 7 minor political parties also has a Supreme Court, a Consulship (Executive elected every 6 years) and a number of provinces. Frequent and staggered elections are held in high importance.

Economy(Pick two resources for trade):
The Economy of Dentali is heavily based on industry, before the advent of space stations and other space based manufacturers their planet suffered heavily from pollution and much of the landscape was covered in factories and other telltale signs of industry. Now after hundreds of years the industry has moved into orbit, with massive shipyards belonging to multiple corporations dotting the solar system. This has allowed the landscape to recover and return to the natural beauty it once held.

While many planets rely on exporting natural resources, Dentali primarily makes complex finished products while importing raw materials. This has given them a large profit margin and a competitive job market, wages are high as is the standard of living. As a result large numbers of consumer and luxury goods can be found on the planet, with markets filled to bursting

Solidari Living Metal- These metals are unique to the Dentali Solar System and are used as an additive to traditional construction metals. This makes the metal much more malleable and durable shortening construction times considerably

Nerium- This element is used to efficiently randomize high-frequency shield modulations, improving potential defensive capabilities.

His tenure has been focused on lowering trade barriers and negotiating trade deals between powers, as well as serving as a mediator in conflicts between members. A constant advocate for liberation of peoples, he is often at odds with senators who come from worlds built on empire.

Description: The Xoven are known for being space-farers, thieves and raiders that generally travel the stars in small clans ranging from 10-30 members. They generally never settle on a single planet. This, however, only represents one fragment of the total Xoven culture. Apparently within their home worlds (whom non-Xoven are forbidden to set foot in) the species is divided into several castes. Although the exact details remain unknown there is at least a worker caste and a leading “captain” caste. The Xoven commonly encountered throughout the galaxy are to only ones who ever leave their home world and effectively belong to the “warrior caste”. Despite this the Xoven generally prefer to avoid direct conflict and prefer to resort to subterfuge when it comes to battle. Many Xoven make a living as pirates and raiders in deep space.
Other Information: Due to their cortical stacks the consciousness of a Xoven could theoretically live forever. Despite this the Xoven are rarely considered to be wise and their society had failed to evolve or progress in several thousand years.

Description:
A loose federation of five arkships orbiting the star Xova prime in the outer-rim. An Arkship is a planet-sized immobile space stations that were built centuries ago. Each arkship shares the feature of being roughly spherical. Each arkship has it’s own ecosystem, flora and fauna. A universal practice aboard Vox arkships is the construction of the arkship's 'shroud'. A thick layer of prefabricated modules, the space equivalent of shanties, and stolen and scrapped ships are bolted to the hull and to one another, forming a thick cluster of chaotic wreckage.
Demographics: 100% Xoven. Non-xoven are not allowed within the Arkships.
Culture: Extremely hierarchal in nature. Those in power use violence to enforce their will. Each member of their society exists within a caste system which includes an elite “Captain” caste, a explorer/ raider caste and a slave caste. The slave caste don’t have cortical stacks fitted and therefore will die permanently if their body dies. The Xoven are also extremely insular and the majority remain insider their arkships and only interact with the outside galaxy through the raider/ explorer caste.
Outside of the Arkships these Xoven live in nomadic clans, called a jackship, of 10-30 members that roam the galaxy looking to trade, explore and steal. These clans also have an established hierarchy and a new arrivals to the jackship will start at the bottom and may have to wait over a century to work their way up the hierarchy. Xoven raiding crews are almost always made up of younger, rowdy and boisterous Xoven eager prove themselves--hence the Vox stereotype of thieves or raiders.
Despite their ability to transfer their consciousness onto new bodies the Xoven generally tried to avoid any risk of danger to themselves. As such Xoven raids and attacks generally utilise stealth and it’s not uncommon for ships to not even notice they’ve been “raided” until taking an inventory of their cargo. Due to this a lot of Xoven culture and behaviour is centred around avoiding physical confrontation and promoting clandestine behaviour.
On jackships and within the castes on the arkships it’s common for a Xoven’s position to be challenged through ritualised fighting match called Scirsis. In Scirsis the supporters of challenger and the challenged gather to fight using hand-to-hand combat. It’s actually rare for any violence to take place in the Scirsis as typically one party will back down upon realised they are outnumbered.
Government:Each Arkship is ruled by a dictator, called the Captain-Sovereign. The Captain-Sovereign is invariably a member of the captain caste and is thus not seen outside the Arkship. The Captain-Sovereign is supposed to gain power by overthrowing the existing Captain-Sovereign through a match of Scirsis (detailed above) however more often than not the Captain-Sovereign will be assassinated (via destroying the Captain’s cortical stack) creating a power vacuum for the rest of the captain-caste to fight to fill.
The Captain-Sovereigns elect from their own number an Admiral-Sovereign to lead the Covenant. The Admiral- Sovereign is the only Xoven forbidden from transferring their consciousness when their body dies. When the Admiral- Sovereign dies an election is held to see who will assume power. The chosen Admiral- Sovereign remains Captain-Sovereign of their own arkship.
Unlike the captain-sovereign the admiral-sovereigns have very little power. The Captain-Sovereigns have near complete autonomy over their own arkships with the main powers allotted to the Admiral- Sovereign being within the domain of foreign affairs, such as the signing of treaties and the raising of the Covenant militia.

Description: No one knows how the Werai and the similar lifeforms of Reminiscence came to their planet, but they were most certainly not native to the planet. The species seems genetically engineered to exist in a planet with a runaway greenhouse effect (imagine Venus), where unimaginable heat, pressure, and seismic activity are the norm.

Senatorial Status: Y/N Y
Description: A planet with roughly half the mass of Earth, cursed with the runaway greenhouse effect. Miles of atmosphere clogged with megatons of carbon dioxide. Seismic activity is rampant. The moon of Reminiscence is unable to support life but, since it can't support an atmosphere, it's commonly used as a diplomatic and trade hub.
Demographics: Intelligent life: 100% Verai (0.1% male variant, 99.9% female variant); Unintelligent life: Utra Wero ("Glass Grass")
Culture: Pragmatic, otherwise ranging from static theocratic to fanatic meritocratic
Government: The males act as tribal leaders, acting as the planet's traditional council and designating varying amounts of autonomy to their respective populaces. The groups given more self-determination have formed a planetary republic, with representatives of each tribe attending meetings and determining common law. The figurehead is a hereditary monarchy.
Economy: Carbon dioxide and gemstones
Region: The spiral fork in between Razi'Nax and Blue Gyre
History: The peoples of Irenairow had mixed feelings on the discovery of outer space, and eventually on the discovery of other intelligent life. These two events sparked several massive, planet-wide civil wars across multiple isolated continents, with the ones more accepting of extraterrestrials becoming the victors by sheer industrial power. No village is conquered, per se, until the male of the village dies. Ergo, not much has changed politically or philosophically for each region, though technology and industry have improved significantly. On the flip side, since no one has ever wanted to conquer Reminiscence due to its distinct lack of usefulness, Irenairow has enjoyed the unique position of arbitrator in several political and commercial conflicts.

Senator Age: Age is not a concept in Irenairow, since there are no days, the concept of space (and thus years) are only recently discovered, and the temperature is always extremely hot, negating the concept of seasons. She is mature and would have been selected for childbearing had she not been found sterile.
Senator Appearance: Two meters tall,
Senator Personality: Happy that she has a role in the society. She quite wanted to be a mother, but now she is a sister to her entire species. She has an upbeat attitude and is happy to do overtime.
Senator Bio: Werakoya grew up in a society that worshipped their village male in a cult-like phenomenon. She was noted as beautiful, and repeated times the cult leader harassed her, telling her that he would enjoy her particularly once she came of age. She enjoyed the attention, not understanding the master's evils quite yet. In pre-maturity (equivalent of teenage years) she joined the military, enacting what could only be described as war crimes with neighboring tribes, becoming one of the few Werai to actually kill a village male. She was soon captured by a more powerful faction, where her beliefs were tested and dissolved rapidly. She led a war of liberation for her people, killing her former master, her second male. She was given accolades by her new family, but no new warriors would descend from her. She was found sterile. Sad that she no longer had a role to say, she alighted when both the tribal council and the planetary republic appointed her to the Galactic Senate. Obviously, the Werai weren't interested in taking sides, but a position with a bit more power than "observer" was always welcome. She worked equally as hard and displayed the same endurance and brilliance that she displayed as a warrior.

History :[/b] The earliest recordings of life was dated around twenty billion years ago. These ancient beings were far more advanced than the humans of the time. While we were stilling learning how to grow plants they were an advanced space-faring civilization, it is not known what happened to this supreme beings but it is assumed that around Ten billion years ago, they were either wiped out or had moved to the unexplored regions of this world. The next supreme life would pop up around five billion years ago, they were named the dark ones because of their appearance and their cruelty. They were a primitive race that even after one billion years they had just figured out to make fire and how to make basic copper weapons, Whenever they stumbled apon the ruins of the earlier race they would worship it like a temple. It seems as they would never become advanced, but around three billion years ago their technological levels spiked, it only took them ten million years to send someone to space and only five million years after that to achieve a level of spacefaring that was similar to their predecessors. They would go on to conquer a large portion of the system that the planet Saxon is located in, but soon another dominant race would enter the scene.

It was us, humans. Humanity had finally reached the stars around 8 billion years ago. While it was no longer a dream for people rather a reality. For those that don't want to live the Inner since they have no money moved to the Middle Rim, for criminals and outlaws the outer rim had become a safe haven, but for us, the Outer Rim would become the place where we would continue and ensure our culture would survive. We, unlike other human civilizations, was one that was built on war. We were warlike and thrived in it, now on our homeworld could challenge our might and soon we would control it, but after 20 million years of fighting it stopped, and our race with it stopped. We no longer had a goal and an enemy collation was formed. It was an economic treaty and our people wanted nothing to do with it, but trouble showed up at doors. It was an invasion fleet that was made up of various nations. Our planet was a resource-rich one so it was no wonder why other planets would eye it hungrily. While our ancestors fought valiantly and inflicted a large number of casualties it was not enough. Eventually, we were forced to flee. It was a disgraceful time for ancestors and every single being on Saxon had vowed to avenge them and take revenge on those nations

When we had finally made it to the outer rim a vast majority of us had already died. Our ships weren't fit with new technology since our best ships were lost during the battles for our planet. These ships were eons old and compared to the cruiser we had at earlier this was a bucket of rust but we had to make due with it anyways. We tried to settle far from other civilizations but in that search, we unexpectedly arrived on the planet of Saxon. It had reminded us survivors of our old homeworld so we decided to settle there. Imagine our surprise when we discovered another race living there. It was the dark ones. When we first arrived we saw towers of glittering cities, ones that weren't even visible on the Inner Rim worlds. Many of us were shocked and instead moved deeper into the world. We colonized the mountains, seas, and the underground. We did not want to be discovered eventually we were. The communications went horribly and because of that, we fought. Our people didn't care though, we were becoming bloodthirsty it had been years since we swam in the blood of our enemies, and slaughter we did. We started with the smaller villages and only the children were spared. The streets were painted red and soon we set our sights on the larger cities. When we did we were met with a pitiful resistance. These beings had been drunken on their power and superior technology that they could no longer fight normally. They were butchered and soon the cities fell one by one. It wasn't time years later that the whole world of Saxon was ours. We had a strict moral code and rape wasn't allowed, and one reason we kept the kids were due to the fact that we liked to raise others as our own.

The kids that were once Dark ones were now one of us, we had forgotten about our homeworld and started to call ourselves saxions. Our skin was yellow (Asianic) and we were descendants of sages, kings, and warriors of a nation that had a long history. These Dark One children were taught about our culture and our history, after that it was easy incorporating them into our society. During that conquest hardly anything was saved except for weapons, spacecraft, and factories. We would have to rebuild these now still ruins. It would take us around 100 years to finish that and this is where my story ends and another one would begin.

This part of history took place 1 billion years after the first one. This would be one about heartbreak and sacrifice for our people. It had been 1 billion years since we were forcibly moved out of our homeworld to his planet. This story will be about Saxon the great. The man that had led us to glory and infamy through-out the galaxy. Who is this man you ask, well early history shows that he was born in a poor family of a long line of military geniuses? It seems that the family had disgraced itself during the fall of our home world. To survive he was sold as a slave and was sent to the Coliseum. A fighting pit built for the training of future soldiers and a fighting pit for slaves. He would soon distinguish himself as a brilliant fighter. It was said during his time in the Coliseum he had never lost one fight. This would even impress other Saxions, and eventually, he fought his way to freedom.

When he was freed he enlisted in the military and made himself also known as a brilliant tactician. He would often use smaller and inferior forces to crush bigger ones. He would rise to fame and would eventually himself the name Saxon the Great. When the last leader died Saxon the Great filled that spot and would immediately make a campaign to conquer the known planets. It seemed as he was trying to redeem his family's name.

When our people were finally prepared we began the offensive. We attacked planets and nations in the outer rim first. The first major victory we had was at the battle of Sakura. It was named that because of how our shipped were painted with Sakura blossoms. It was the first Mandorlian fleet which numbers at 30 against the combined fleet of two outer rim nations 50. The enemy was separated so we went on the offensive and crushed both fleets during the battle. All ships that surrendered had their crews killed and the ships were instead manned by our own troops. It would be a few more engagements before the decisive on that determined the future of the outer rim. Our Fleet numbered to about 100 while the combined fleet of the outer rim numbered 200. The battle was fierce, and the opposing sides were equally matched. Seeing as how nothing would happen Saxon the Great would issue and retreat and when the enemy saw they gave chase. Since the Saxion ships were getting farther the enemies transferred all power to the thrusters. That was exactly what Saxon the Great wanted. When the enemies were about to make contact the Saxion fleet turned around and opened fire. The enemy caught unaware and having no power in their shields were immediately destroyed. That was the last major engagement that happened in the Outer Rim. It would another two years before Saxon the great launched an invasion on the middle rim. This time they blitzed through the worlds even easier. The middle rim due to many years of stability was not prepared for an invasion. Their fleets while impressive lacked the experience that Saxon the Great's did. They were easy pickings and soon the Inner Rim was even at risk, and it was due to that the inner rim nations sent in their fleets. These were even more impressive the Middle Rim nation ones, but they had even less experience in combat than the Middle Rim, and while the Saxonian fleet fought many of these fleets and won, it eventually came to a point where the Saxions couldn't replace ships anymore while the Inner Rim just kept pumping more. It was at the battle of Heaven's fall that the Saxions were finally beaten. The Saxion fleet now numbered at 50 was facing a combined fleet strength of around 1000. It wasn't long before they were overrun and destroyed. It was said that while Saxon the Great had a chance escape he instead sacrificed himself and took down ten ships before his own ship was shot down. Those that survived rapidly returned back to Saxon. When they got there they discovered that their cities were destroyed and their women and children were gone.

That sent them on a rampage and they attacked every nation they believed that was involved in this. In the end, they only retrieve a small portion of their women and children. They had lost once again and once again they lived in shame. It would be another400 million years before another Saxon the great arrived, but every time their invasions would end up the same as the first one. An Interesting fact is that the Saxon the Greats aren't only humans

It was just 1000 years ago that a war happened on Saxion soil. It was a civil war. One fought by traditionalists and reformative. The reformative called for a change and wanted to advance technology while the traditionalists fought for the old traditions. The fight was fierce and the Planet was split into two. Fields were destroyed and the planet was slowly transformed until it was no longer liveable on the surface, but the fighting continued for another 800 years. Both sides were willing to fight to the bitter end, but in the end, it was reformative that won, but even among them, there was infighting. It was 100 years ago that the government was remade and it seemed that ultra-reformative had lost. The new government still valued the traditions but had started to call for scientists, and while there were few. There was no time in Saxonian history that this many were found. It was a start of a new age. It seemed that a new alliance was formed called the Republic. It was also decided that Saxon would join the Republic. One day our planet would rule again. It is good to know that we are stilled known for our soldiers.

Description: Daal Prime is a primarily aquatic world, with only a few scattered archipelagoes for land life to develop. The Daal themselves primarily live in vast underwater cities that often move about the vast world wide ocean without issue. Transport is primarily flight based, but underwater travel is slower, and considered more dangerous. The climate above the surface is primarily tropical, and some of the poorer, and disease ridden, Daal, are banished to the Islands of the surface to dwell in poverty. The powerful tides are not driven by a moon, or a Star, for Daal prime orbits a large Black Hole, far enough away to limit the effect of time dilation. The Black Hole, known to the Daal as Xyndus, was considered a deity to the Daal in their early years. Orbital mirrors and other such technology allow for increased light on the Planet's surface, but the Daal themselves are in fact more comfortable in the dark.

Other nations view the Daal with both fear and mistrust, but also a begrudging respect and fascination with their mysterious ways. Few Daal are ever seen outside of Daal space, and many people do not even know what the standard Daal would look like.

Demographics: Around 25 billion people live within Daal space, almost entirely the Daal themselves. Aliens are unwelcome in most cases due to the Daal's secretive and xenophobic nature, but some travel for trade or scientific reasons. Most Daal live on the Homeworld, but those that live in the other 9 systems are primarily employees of the military or intelligence communities, with some science and research stations as well as a handful of civilian colonies.
Culture: The Daal prize intelligence and efficiency above all else. They see honesty as a weakness and are cunning, manipulative, and duplicitous. They rear their young to be suspicious, cautious, and devoted to the Ascendancy first. Most family units comprise of a male, female, and their offpsring, often upwards of 20 per household due to the large egg broods birthed by Daal females. The Daal view other nations as backwards and foolish barbarians, and are haughty, arrogant, and selfish. That being said, their natural intelligence and cunning make for skilled agents, diplomats, and researchers. The most vaunted field of work in the Ascendancy is the intelligence services, followed by scientific research. Any beings that are different or opposed to the traditional Daal values are banished to live on the surface archipelagoes. Fashion and appearance means little to the Daal, with most wearing plain grey clothing that emphasizes efficiency and comfort.
Government: The Daal are governed by an efficient bureaucracy, headed by the Director. There are no elections within the Ascendancy, the Bureaucracy is merely a career path, at the top of which lies the Directorate. The Director relies on several Department heads to organize their fields. Waste is not tolerated, nor is dissent. Entirely meritocratic, the Government is strong, but undemocratic.
Economy: The Daal primarily are producers of advanced technology, which they ship and trade with the Galaxy. However, the greatest technology is for the Daal only, and it is rare for the Ascendancy to offer up any tech that has not already been made obsolete by other discoveries within the Civilization. The second resource is energy. With the massive tidal forces created by Xyndus, the Daal are awash in extra energy. They often trade this to other nations, and are excellent at ensuring many other civilizations are dependent on their product.

Senator Bio: Born into the rare second brood of a Daal intelligence officer, Xaxo Xin proved her worth as a child, often outmaneuvering her siblings for food, and framing them for instances where punishment was needed. Patriotism was instilled in her by her parents at a young age, as was disdain for the other denizens of the Galaxy whom she thought were barbaric and weak. Entering the Daal Academy for Public Service, Xin graduated at the top of her class, and worked swiftly up the ranks of the Department of Intelligence and Defense. As an agent of Ascendancy intelligence, Xin proved to be cunning and skilled, with a ruthless streak that ended in many of her foes and rivals dead or disgraced.

Her skill set allowed her to nearly rise to become Department Head of Intelligence and Defense, but instead, she found herself sent to Cosmopolis as the newest Senator for the Ascendancy, a posting which she deemed beneath her, especially due to the need to interact with alien races. Xin believes this posting is a punishment by her rivals within the Ascendancy to remove her from the Capital. That being said, her skills and love of country demand she work as hard as possible to safe guard Daal independence and safety.

Description: Aquatic, with the ability to breathe underwater, the Daal evolved millenia ago on the isolated Core world of Daal Prime. Originally organized into tribes and feuding nation states, the Daal reached industrialization fairly early in Galactic History. Yet, as their technology increased, so too did the cost of their constant war. A generations long war between two Daal families lead to a near apocalypse, which destoryed much of the surface land of Daal Prime. From the ashes, a decimated populace agreed to form a unitary, planet wide government, one that grew into the Ascendancy.

Most Daal are tall, aroudn 6 foot five inches tall, with large brains and to hearts in their chest to support this. They are typically long and lanky, and are very mysterious to the rest of the Galaxy. A degenerative brain disease is fairly common among Daal that surpass 200 years old, and most members of the Daal choose to end their own lives before this point for the sake of efficiency. Those that refused are banished to live among the poor and disease ridden populace of the surface islands. The Daal mate for life, and often only have one brood of children, sometimes numbering in the scores, due to the large number of eggs produced by females. The Daal life span can last for around 250 years, though, as mentioned before, few surpass 200 due to the state sponsored extermination of elderly citizens.

Description: Malethora is the nation that the Mammothok came to form. Officially titled the Malethoran Collective, Malethora is less of a single unified nation than it is a collection of the cooperating clans that make up Mammothokian society. The collection of clans that make up Malethora have all signed onto the Malethok Accords, which brings them under the scope of Malethora. Malethora was formed shortly before interstellar travel became a reality for the Mammothok, and as they realized that soon they would be venturing out into the unknown, the clans agreed that the only sustainable way to do so would be to undertake the next chapter in Mammothokian history as a unified entity. The clans within Malethora (which happens to be all of them) agree to abide by Malethoran law as well as meeting financial obligations and providing the necessary manpower to ensure the continued existence of Malethora. Makora serves as the capital planet of Malethora, while each of the 8 clans has occupied a system for themselves.

Culture: Mammothok culture is typically peaceful, with Mammothok having had little reason to fight each other within the vast expanses of Makora's surface. However, conflict did break out, especially in the more desolate areas along the surface, with the cold dwelling Mathok often having to compete for valuable resources with each other and the Elethok. The Mammothok are a spiritual people, following a polytheistic belief system in which a number of different gods and deities are worshipped, not entirely unlike the greek gods. While preferential towards peace, the Mammothok do have a penchant for violent action as they are relatively territorial beings and a strict code of honor can lead to conflict amongst each other.
Government: The government of Malethora consists of a 200 member senate, where each of the 8 clans possesses 20 guaranteed seats, while the remaining 40 are left to election by the other 160 senators. Each clan selects their 20 guaranteed senators through election within the confines of its own people. As a result, the first 160 senators are selected by the public based off of public opinion and demand, while the other 40 are often distributed based on political maneuvers within the senate. These 200 senators then elect a senator to represent Malethora within the United Galactic Republic.
Economy(Pick two resources for trade): Makora is a massive industrialized world that has not been depleted by industry, unlike so many homeworlds throughout the galaxy. This is in part due to the immense size of Makora (it is larger than a 400 earths and has been classified a super planet by Mammothokian scholars) and also partly due to the religious reverence that Mammothokians hold towards the planet itself. The two largest exports from Malethora are Titanian steel (a composite metal product that is of extremely high quality and is an excellent metal for military purposes, though it is expensive and therefore not utilized as a mainstay for most of its buyers, rather as a complimentary material for high value projects. The other is Kyrobian gas.

Senator Appearance: An old wrinkled Pathok, Marik stands at 10 feet tall and weighs roughly 4 tons. Both of his tusks are short, but unbroken (a rare combination amongst Mammothok), and his trunk is wrinkled but not scarred. His skin is a light grey.
Senator Personality: Calculating, intelligent, wary of his legacy, addictive
Senator Bio: I'll add it later, its super late right now.
Senator Main Strength: Marik is amongst the most experienced and connected Mammothok politicians alive, and has become a familiar face amongst the political fields of the Republic.
Senator Main Weakness: Marik has a highly addictive personality, and as such is a functioning alcoholic. He also faces the issue of losing support from the general populace, especially those who don't wish to see the Mammothokian people represented by a minority Pathok (Mammothokian representation within the senate has been exclusively Pathok, though that is in part a practical choice due to their diminished stature and more diplomatic demeanor).

Many of them have been able to resist dry environments but they still need to by more hydrated than most races or their be susceptible to diseases and fatigue faster till eventual death of dehydration.

One of the reasons for the violent tendencies is because of their biological compensation to fight. Their planet was fairly harsh, between the predators, diseases, and themselves. This allowed them to biologically design themselves to be aggressive and to bear strong children for their Flocks. However, not all strength is physical, as many clans have developed cunning children and each one formed the first nation-states that allowed for their species to grow.

Depending on the subspecies of Dunkuildor, they may live up to 20-160 years naturally. Their feathers come in the form of brown, white, and gray. Bills are different between environment and the colors can be from red, peach, blue, and black. Their diet consist of fish, insects, reptiles, grain, fruits and berries, and... their own corpses. They are actually capable of cannibalism and have enzymes that can get rid of any viruses or diseases that gather around corpses. About 3 species of Dunkuildor have teeth, or teeth-like filters that can tear and hook meat.

Description:Dunkuildor have strong familial ties, those that run deep with instinct as the mother and father share a co-rulership of the family thanks to their survival instincts. Their need to fight and grow makes them a very ambitious race, as seen in the galaxy when they first waddled their way into the scene. They are known to constantly vie for merit among one another no matter what they do and many see them as very successful in how they.

However, many see their instinct to fight and drive forward as both a blessing and a curse. They are known to have been seen fighting in the Cybernetic Wars, stories of heroism and zealot brutality match what the Ducks can do as they took total war tactics and cunning strategy hand-in-hand. However, many do known them for the Thrunntuu Crusade, where the entire species united and conquered their way around the Northern Outer Rim, pillaging and destroying many worlds till they were defeated by a coalition of Outer Rim worlds, rebel Dunkuildor, and some privateers that had scattered the clans.

The race, despite being scattered, are still communal and are rarely seen in the Mid Rim and are nearly non-existed in the Core Worlds. They rarely are seen alone as they work better in groups and only keep their individualism in check for their family comes before them in most cases. Mostly a biological matter tied to their family and the need to keep the flock alive more than the individual.

It is something they always carry with them as a symbol of clans old and new among the Dunkildor.
Government: Each Clan holds a oligarchical meritocratic democracy where each important and skilled member of each important family votes for a Clan head and the rest serve as a Clan Ring for their perspective planets or systems. They all are independent from one another and war against each other as every system is a rivalry in of themselves outside of the Republic's interference, they also have raiders and outside roaming traders who profit from the rivalry but one is soon to unite all the systems and to set their sights to conquer the stars.
Economy(Pick two resources for trade): Olmsdola: A rare, high-quality metal that is good for military purposes. They make ship and troops more capable of taking more hits than normal ships. This is the key component for making the Duck's mighty Alliya Barges that fought the Cyborg Navy. Government:Constituanal Monarchy-A democratically elected Parliament compromised of a House of Lords and House of Commons, with a monarch serving as head of state. The House of Commons, Parliaments lower house is democratically elected by Andorran citizens, while the House of Lords is compromised of various nobles and aristocrats whose seats have been passed down through the centuries ever since Andorra was full unified as a planet. The current ruler is Queen Rhea who acts as executive and symbol of the entire Andorran nation. while the Queen, in theory, wields supreme power, it has been centuries since any reigning monarch acted on such power, instead of allowing Parliament and the people to run the government.
Economy: Ilitium Crystals (Used as an energy source), Andorran Wine. Located on the planetary ring that encircles the Andorra massive Ilitium rocks kilometers wide are mined by various companies based in Andorra.Ilithium crystals are incredibly rare minerals utilized as an amazing and cheap source of energy. These bad boys fetch a hefty price in the galactic market,bringing great wealth to Andorra. While the ring is mined for crystals on the surfaces exist large wine plantations. Andorran wine is the best in the entire galaxy made of some of the finest grapes in the galaxy enriched by the fertile and miraolous Andorran soil.

History :[/b]Andorra was colonized by humans eons ago in an era long forgotten. Like most human societies they were divided, warring amongst each other, and resorting to piracy and banditry due to their relative isolation from the rest of the galaxy. Thus it wasn't a surprise when an oppressive and diabolical alien empire called the Dominion conquered and enslaved the weak world. For centuries the Andorrans would be subjugated by the Dominion until the onslaught of the Cybernetic Wars. The robots rained hell on Andorra, killing their alien overlords and slaves alike the planet was glassed and nearly rendered lifeless. The Dominion would pull back has they where hammered and nearly destroyed by the Cybernetics and sent their dreadnoughts to defend more vital planets.The few surviving humans would stay and fight back against the androids. Once the Galactic Republic defeated the Cybernetics the Dominion would soon come back and demand the Andorrans kneel to their overlords.

The Andorrans refused and rallied under Slave King Vivek who lead the humans in a war against the Dominion. The Dominion forces where resoundingly destroyed in the battle of Andorra high in the stars above the ringed planet. The Dominion itself would collapse weakened from the Cybernetic Wars considerably. The Andorrans cheered in their victory and newfound unity but soon it was time to get to work restoring Andorra to its former glory. It took a long time but with aid from the Republic, Andorra was able to reverse its course of becoming a dead world and soon became fully living world once more. The Andorrans would soon flourish in a golden age with an rapid advancement in the arts and sciences for the first 500 years of the Galactic Republic.

250 years ago they aided Republic forces in destroying a rouge and hostile Cybernetic scientist who was building an army of robots near Andorra on a ravaged and dark abandoned planet. For its aid, Andorra was formally accepted into the Republic and given a seat on the Galactic Senate. Andorrans where mixed on this. On one hand, they admired the Republic for helping in restoring their homeworld and welcomed the increased trade and commerce. On the other hand, they despised being apart of a wide-reaching galactic government who could trample on their rights as individuals. As such politics have become polarised and more decisive than before with the Andorrans dividing themselves between the Royalists, those who believe that the Monarchy should be the only government that Andorra abides by, and the Republicans, those who welcome Republic trade and credits and support Andorra's place in the Senate.

Senator Personality:Kind and compassionate,yet has a ruthless streak as well.
Senator Bio:Princess Azura was born the second of Queen Rhea. Has 2nd in line she was not to inherit the throne, so she focused on Andorran politics, and gained a seat in the House of Lords at the age of 16. She proved to be ruthless and cunning, understanding the Great Game well. She pushed policy that aided the common folk such as increased pay and benefits at the expense of the aristocracy earning the ire of the elite. Yet Azura knew that with the support and love of the people that her adversaries could not touch her. She gained immense amounts of influence and prestige as the Andorran people showered their adoration on her.

The elite would eventually convince her to run as the galactic senator to represent Andorra in the Galactic Senate. She agreed out of ideology believing that she alone could improve Andorras place in the galaxy better than anyone else. Of course,to the elite, it was a card to get her out of Andorra, so the Lords could push their own agenda. She knew it but believed Andorran politics was small fry in the grand scheme of things and believed she could do much more in the wider galaxy. Thus with permission of the Queen, she was made senator and representative of Andorra. She is expected to make her first appearance in the Galactic Senate very soon..

Demographics: The planet is an incredibly diverse one, with an incredible multitude of species performing all kinds of different jobs. It is hard to give demographics, as none of the species hold above 1 or 2% of the population. Population growth, as a consequence, is not natural, and rather brought about by both enslaving and immigration.
Culture: Like the demographics, the culture of the peoples is incredibly diverse. There is a general veneration of the High Ones, but in many different forms. There is simply not one majority culture, and the culture of the people tends to be incredibly fluid and ever-changing.
Government: There are local forms of government across the planet, made up of all kinds of species, but the central government of the planet is solely made up of High Ones, or Serdeti as they call themselves. The Serdeti use among themselves a kind of direct democracy, wherein every member of the species can turn up to a given meeting to voice their opinion and initiate a vote. This vote can contain almost anything, and can also change the makeup of the government. Usually it is democratically elected, but it is also possible to appoint oligarchs or dictators, as well as commissars or ruling councils. The government also once had a monarchic system, but nowadays it is democratically elected.

Working on a few things for the senate page...

ENACTED LAWS

Limits on Tariffs: No Tariffs over 20% on any product between member worlds
Membership Fees: To belong in the Galactic Senate each nation must contribute .5% of its annual GDP to the functions of the Galactic Republic and its functions.
Galactic Bank- A Galactic Bank are established which can lend money to any member state.
Galactic Stock Exchange- Traders from all member states can buy and sell securities, such as shares of stock and bonds and other financial instruments from any publicly traded company of a member state.
Full Faith and Credit- Member States agree to respect public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state. Any person of any member nation can be tried by the laws of the member planet they are on.


MEMBER STATES

367 nations are represented in the Senate, roughly 3/4ths of the know galaxy



POLITICAL PARTIES

146 seats belong to the Liberty Party which champions the independence and individual rights of members states

Quick questions; First, it's mentioned that this is a 'dice roll play'. Can you elaborate on the rules to this? That is which type of dice are roles, for what and who roles said dice?

Do you start with only one planet, or with one star system (presumably, your home system)? The latter makes more sense than the former - especially considering that some species my possess a high fecundity and/or shorter lifespans.

Planet Name: Abbaloth
Senatorial Status: Y/NY
Description: The planet of Abbaloth is a swamp world. For miles and miles across the surface of the planet are mires and bogs, each shrouded in a cloud of green mist, life is abundant in the form of moss algae and occasionally a few hardy shrubs. Like Oasis scattered throughout the great swamps are large outcroppings of rock and it is on these where the Varini citidels are constructed. On the surface of the planet their is very few fauna, apart from a few species of bird like creatures and an abundance of reptilian amphibians, all have been conquered by the Karakoi's millennia long xenoforming program. When one looks into the night sky from Abbaloth, when the sky is not completely clouded over of course, one will see a grreat array of lights which come from the vast amount of satellites and stations in orbit, the majority of stations have been constructed in order to take some of the Vanari offworld so that they do not disturb the unknowable thoughts of the Karakoi.
Demographics: The planet is home to 13 billion Vanari citizens all crowded into their massive mega cities and orbital stations, the majority of the planet is given over to the 1000 Karakoi
Culture: there are two distinct cultures on Abbaloth, the first is that of the Vanari whose culture is mainly focused around two main ideals; the first is their desire to reach out once more towards the stars and spread the Vanari people across the galaxy, this belief originates from the fact that the Vanari people once moved around the galaxy in great migrations from planet to planet until finally settling upon Abbaloth. This desire is so strong that the majority of Vanari children will attempt to specialise in some kind of role that gets them offworld and out acriss the galaxy. The second great ideal in Vanari culture is their reverance of the Karakoi whom many within their society believe to be god's, this worship of the Karakoi has been one of the reasons why the Vanari have not left Abbaloth in another of their great migrations and it is also the primary reason why they allow the Karakoi to handle almost the entirety of their international and national affairs and it is why the planet is represented in the senate by a Karakoi. This inferiority complex that the Vanari have developed has lead to them being an extraordinarily servile race willing to bend the knee to the Karakoi however among the younger Vanari generation a new sense of cultural pride has started to develop, perhaps hinting the end of Karakoi domination. One final interesting facet of Vanari culture is their strong family bonds, to a Vanari the connection between you and your clan is more important then the duty to your nation, the only thing more important than one's family is the Karakoi.

The second great culture of Abbaloth is that of the Karakoi, the great beings who live beneath the surface of the mighty swamps. Their culture is mainly based around their desire for knowledge, the Karakoi view the universe like a great library and the Karakoi view themselves as it's librarian, it is their purpose in the universe to collect and store all available data. Another facet of Karakoi culture is a certain distaste for interstellar warfare, this is not in any way because because the Karakoi are a pacifist race, indeed all Vanari will state that the Karkori are not scared to enforce their will when the time comes, however the Karakoi simply do not have much experience with the art of war, their race consists of so few that any war between them could potentially lead to the end of their species . The Karakoi are also an immensely smug race who think of themselves as naturally superior to the lesser races who quite simply are unable to comprehend their magnificence.
Government: The government of Abbaloth is a republic however it one in the classical Greek style where only a significantly intelligent and wise group of citizens are permitted to both vote and participate in the affairs of government. This small group of citizens who are permitted to vote are known as the grand assembly and it numbers usually at about 500 citizens. Every 4 years the grand assembly will convene to elect the new Supreme Archotecht who is the both head of state and head of government and holds executive power over the Glorious republic of Abbaloth.
Economy(Pick two resources for trade): Advanced spaceship parts, Varangian metal. One of the main benefits of a great deal on the Vanari population living in orbit is that it even Vanari children have a basic understanding of rocket science and orbital mechanics, this allows them to produce high quality and advanced space ship parts and due to the Vanari's great migrations their goods are relatively well known across the galaxy. The second main resource that comes from Abbaloth is Varangian metal, which as the name implies is a highly durable metal found in the Varangian asteroid built which is between Abbaloth and it's closest celestial neighbour Sagyaron. The Varangian metal is the main resource that fuels the Varani's shipbuilding industry.
