(In this resolution the terms refugee and asylum seeker are used synonymously)
Aknowledging that there is no explicit law requiering member nations permit immigration into their nations.
Noting that immigration can be detrimental to some nations. It notably can attack the identity and safety of ancient nation states or very small nations, and strain nations overall in other ways.
Admitting that immigration is not inherently bad and has helped some nations in the past grow economically.
Beleiving that a national government’s purpose is to serve its own citizens, not foreigners, and that both the government and its citizens should be able to consent to foreigners coming to live in their nation or use any of its resources that are funded by the citizens.
Beleiving granting residency or citizenship to a foreigner is an act of generosity, and that generosity can not be forced.
Insisting, therefore, that no nation ever be obligated by the WA to have to take in any amount of immigrants. Immigration should be completely under control of the nation, not the WA
The General Assembly Hereby Declares the following
1. The WA is prohibited from requiring any member state to take in any amount of immigrants or grant asylum to any amount of refugees.
2. The WA is not allowed to take any measures upon a nation intending harm, for the reason of not being open to immigration or asylum.
3.This resolution is not immune to being repealed.
