Agnosicstani National News

Statue of Victor von Prippen unveiled in Tsar's Square
The popular Marshal, known by many as the 'Shadow King', has finally received his own statue in the park, located in the centre of Novvy Londinium. The Marshal refused to make an official comment on the statue but is believed to be humbled, and indeed requested that it not be done at all. This has come not long after his speech praising the heroes of Agnosicstan, in the same place where his statue now stands, for the unveiling of the Monument to the Dead in the same area. It is believe the statue will not, however, receive an honour guard like the Monument has.

Agnosicstani Forces in Animalium Controversy
The Agnosistani Forces in Animalium have again recieved critizism, as they are strengthened up from a pair of Battalions to a full Regiment, the 7th Infantry. It is believed the move was made after concerns about the Isolationist nations independence were again raised in the Upper Duma, where the decision was made to deploy further forces. This comes not long after the 1st and 6th Infantry were stationed in Sicily alongside the 4th, due to possible de-stabilisation in the region, as well as the strengthening of both the Gibraltar and Malta garrisons. The Prime Minister has refused comment on the situation. Within the Lower Duma, the highly vocal Liberal Party have been up in arms about the move, declaring it an insult not only to the nation they are stationed in, but to Agnosicstan itself, and that Agnosicstani troops should not be wasted in places they aren't needed.

Natura Animalium National News

More Agnosicstani Troops have been accepted into Animalium, increasing the original force size by a fairly large amount. The Praesus and her consort’s have been receiving both praise and backlash from the decision to allow them to enter. Many are questioning whether or not the decision was justified, and have asked for a statement to be made directly from Praesus Rubrum or one of her officials. The Praesus herself obliged, giving a statement to the nation during the welcoming ceremony which was thrown on the new soldier’s behalves within the capital.

A National Statment from Praesus Rubrum

“As many of you know, a decision was made to implement more Agnosicstani soldiers within our ranks. While I cannot give you all full details as to why this decision was made in the first place, I can assure you that it was purely out of concern for our population as a whole. With more within our forces, the likelihood of us coming under threat lowers greatly. It is better to be prepared and safe, rather than to be careless and deny such generous assistance which is offered to us in good will. Now, I urge you all to enjoy the festivities and give the Agnosicstani a warm, proper welcome.”

Ljubljana, Capital of Venician Slovenia

The Queen Empress wandered through the decadent halls of her castle. Soldiers positioned themselves every 20 odd feet, wearing beautiful red and blue coats, carrying old-fashioned rifles. The floor was draped with a long silk carpet which ran from one end of the hall to the other. A way to keep her shoeless feet from the cold stones of the castle floor. Dim oil lamps lit the paths, when natural light could not be used. She sighed. There was not much for a woman such as herself to do, but roam these empty halls. As Queen Empress, she ruled over her lands. Yet, she held no real power. Just those ceremonially left to her. It was her role to keep the common people of all the empire -as small an empire as it was- happy and at peace. It was strange to consider herself as someone of the many peoples which lived in her borders. But, in her heart and never aloud, she was a Venician through and through. Only living in these lands far away from her home by the Mediterranean due to her husband. The King Emperor who had unceremoniously dropped dead from a heart attack only 2 years and 1 month after their marriage, leaving her with a round belly and his immense fortune from centuries of king rulers.

Even through the thick walls of her castle, she heard the sounds of amusement and joy to be had. As today marked the four hundred and seventy fifth birthday of the nation. While today the nation looked nothing like it did at the start, it was said that its people remained the same, and so the country had never quite died during those many centuries. The Queen Empress was destined to make an appearance at the festivities of the capital, but the schedule had been arranged for her by whichever prime minister was in office now. She had long lost track of his name. The office of the prime minister seemed awfully short-lived with three prime ministers taking their oaths and being removed due to some scandal or another, in the last year alone. There was no point in learning a name that would become a note in the histories anyways.

Elections were however around the corner. Even with the festivities and festival uniting the people of the empire, and the many peoples of the capital Ljubljana, divides were still ever present. As each political party jockeyed for influence over the crowds. While the Queen Empress had no vote herself, she did have her favourite choice. A young man and new politician straight out of law school who looked to be a kind-hearted and intelligent man. Two traits which seemed to be sorely lacking in most politicians around the country.

But for now, a guard walked up to her and bowed his head. It was time to wave to the crowds while the bells of the church of St. Albertson rung drearily alongside.

Serigala, Animalium

From the decks of the large passenger ships, Agnosicstani soldiers waited in grim, patient silence. They did not wave to those waiting for them, but checked their watches, chatted amongst themselves, or smoked a cigarette. When the time came to disembark, they did so in an orderly fashion, lining up and awaiting their dismissal orders.

But first to come was there ceremony. Cigarette's were stamped out, flasks clipped back to belts. In full, resplendent dress uniform, the 7th Infantry marched in column down the docks, towards the rest of their Regiment, who had awaited their arrival. The Colonel saluted the troops awaiting them, also in a grim silence, the flag bearers holding the Agnosicstani Banner up high to wave in the coastal wind.

With the ceremony finished, the Agnosicstani Colonel saluted the representative of the Animalis Viribus, General Octavian Rubrum. Colonel Tupolev Antonovich then spoke, in a clear voice. "We of the Chernaya Armiya salute you. We place ourselves as your shield, standing with you as allies in any and all conflicts to come. God stands by our sides comrades, and so too do you." He finished, keeping his arm in a salute position and waiting for the General to salute back.

The Agnosicstani troops were then called at ease, and drilled on their conduct by their officers. "Be respectful and mindful, but be friendly. We are not at home anymore! We represent Agnosicstan, and the Tsarina. Remember that, and you'll all do well. Dismissed!" The short speech was followed by a salute, and then a dispersing of the Agnosicstani Regiment, usually into their squadrons of 10-or-so.

When the soldiers had docked, the General’s own troops had greeted them properly. Octavian quietly listened to the Colonel’s speech, his gaze never faltering from him. Once it was over he saluted back to him, not adding on to any of it. After that he walked off, heading inside one of the buildings alongside the Praesus. The two were discussing something quietly, a look of irritation contorting Aviana’s features, while anger rested on her father’s.

The city itself was located on the coast of the country. It seemed to be well populated and diverse. There were quite a bit of both Mamalians and Terrarium’s, almost all of them in their animal forms. The only exceptions to this were the soldiers, who stood out in their grey, black, and white uniforms. When the ceremony had concluded the festivities began, and the civilians started to enjoy themselves.

The troops had mostly spread out amongst the citizens, actually enjoying the festivities that had been chosen by the organizers. There was plenty of drinking and dancing, lots of fun to be shared with the new soldiers who had arrived. One troop from the Animalis Viribum in particular seemed to be hyping the others up, she had ginger hair and green eyes. She laughed as she danced around with three of her brothers-in-arms, letting loose in what had to be the first time in ages. It wasn’t just her though, all of the soldiers were taking advtange of this limited freedom they had from their responsibilities and duties.

The Colonel and the officers, for the most part, retired to some corner of the docks and shared a few bottles of wine, chatting amongst themselves. While they didn't tell any Animalium officers to leave, they didn't go out of their way to welcome the foreigners. For the most part they seemed to discuss the weather, politics and generally more 'upper class' things.

The NCOs and regulars, however, dispersed among the crowds of their comrades fairly easily. While some stuck to their squadrons, others split into fours, or even pairs, and after a few drinks were dancing and partying among their comrades easily. A few stuck to the edges, smoking, playing cards and drinking among themselves. The 7th was particularly picked as it was well-known to contain the most xenophillic soldiers in the Chernaya Armiya, and they quickly proved themselves to be great cultural ambassadors, gladly sharing their alcohol rations and cigarettes among the Animalium and generally being chatty and friendly.

A group of four or-so-approached the ginger and the group she was dancing with; three men, and a woman. They observed it with a casual air about them, the soldiers less relaxed than usual due to the presence of one of their NCOs, the woman. She was newly promoted, however, and quickly joined in on the festivities, drinking and laughing with the rest as jokes were told and cards were brought out.

Gonaitei garden, The Imperial Palace, Kyoto, Mainland Japan, The Empire of Japan, 8:39 AM

The Imperial Palace of the Japanese Empire stood as a private, rectangular enclosure, 1,300 metres north and south by 700 metres east and west, Shogun Yuuhi Koubuin stood in the Gonaitei almost in the centre of the Palace grounds, catching a pink peddle in her hands she blew it off, turning it back to the wind of which caught it and carried it further on. Japan itself while becoming a technologically advanced state, remained much the same as it had during the era of the Tokugawa Shogunate. In 1867, the Shogunate family and anti-Shogun daimyo united for a common cause to overthrow the pro-western government, and established the restoration of imperial rule with a new Shogun and the 5 Regent Houses of Koubuin, Ikaruga, Saionji, Kujo, and Takatsukasa. Currently house Koubuin was on the throne and the ultimate military and state authority, with Yuuhi at the head, Japan returned to a mild isolationist state, however while outsiders were viewed with suspicion, the state allowed free trade with the whole world as companies wished. However of course, in most aspects of the state, the military took precedence over all other matters.

Yuuhi watched while more leaves on trees started to fly off and into the wind, Kyoto itself was a peaceful city, the whole of Japan remained mostly neutral in other matters since the late 1800s, looking to not follow suit of other neighbours and be swallowed up by the west, Japan's massive armament campaigns carried out by shoguns to come before her had kept Japan from being exactly as most feared, swallowed up by the west. However of course, Japan would in the future have to take a more.... Firm stance for it's own survival, Yuuhi knew this, most everyone knew this, hard days were ahead for the Shogunate....

"Yuuhi, I knew I would find you here." Yuuhi heard spoken from behind her, only one person spoke to her so... Informally. Yuuhi turned to see her husband, the Emperor of Japan, Takano approaching, she turned back and he stopped just next to her. While Yuuhi's own outfit had looked more traditional, Emperor Takano's own outfit looked more... Western, being a suit. "Yes, of course. ...There is change coming... Whether it is for the best or the worst, we shall see. Shall we not?" Yuuhi said, looking to her husband. "Yes... Though of course, change is necessary, should we remain stagnant, we shall be lost to the abyss. And the barbarians will destroy us." Takano said, looking forward, Yuuhi turned her attention back forward towards the stream of which flowed through the garden. "I know. ...And I will not allow it to happen. We shall hold on with teeth and claws, to hell with those who would destroy us." Yuuhi said and turned around, leaving to return to the palace proper, the Emperor followed her closely while the Imperial Royal Guard stood around the garden and the Palace, with weapons loaded and ready, the Imperial Palace truly was a fortress unto a even greater one of which made up the whole of Japan, built up over the years for the defence of the home islands.

Military Action in Nova Scotia

Postby Lenspheria » Mon Sep 10, 2018 7:22 am

With communist ideology spreading for the first time in Lenspheria since the Red Scare, several Organized Militias have gone rogue! This includes the Nova Scotia Free Army. Over 300 militiamen have gone rogue, taking with them several pieces of heavy equipment. It's reported this was once an armored militia and has a collected force of at least one full strength platoon of armor. Forward reporting RECCE and FIB operatives report 3 T-80UM1s and a T-90KMS (Kommandayovski), along with heavy mortar and light AA support. The local loyalist militias are light infantry or Light Air Dragoons and have insufficient support to appropriately raid, capture and destroy this rogue cell. A unit of Blackout Troopers were immediately dispatched from Lenspherian HICOM to deal with this uprising. Current status and location is highly classified. Lenspherian Regulars of the 1st Armored Division and 17th Infantry Division are being assembled but the process is expected to take nearly a month for full mobilization of a sufficient counter force.

Operation Wildlands
One team. One team of four from Blackout, three FID Spooks and twelve RECCE. That's all I have to work with. Better than Bolivia. thought Captain Scott Mitchell, of the Lenspherian Blackout team. He specifically left out his BDT (Blackout Delivery Team) because they provided very little offensive combat capability. It was true that nineteen men didn't seem like much, but the Blackouts didn't exist: Not officially. Two teams of RECCE, best scouts outside of the non existent Blackouts and FID Spooks were just world class assholes. Wish Tom Clancy were still alive to write about this. the Captain thought wistfully. His mind was reaching from things to distract him from the need to move. He and his three other teammates had sat still for 14 hours. They were set up to be involved with an assault with the LADs and Light Infantry unit, who would distract the communist rebels long enough for the Blackout troops to kill Chad Vartel, self proclaimed leader and mutineer of the NSFA. They also would plant explosives on the munition dump, fuel depot and barracks to deny the enemy any rest or resupply. Cutting off the head and then cutting off the supplies in well fell swoop would cripple to rebels beyond repair. It was predicted after one week, almost all survivors would desert.

OOC: And now I refuse to actually write the action because I already did and NS deleted it. Just use that little piece of gray matter in your noggin,
