Star Wars: A Risen Rebellion [OOC/Open]

“All people have regrets. Warriors are no exceptions.
One would hope it was possible to distinguish between events caused by one's carelessness or lack of ability and those caused by circumstances or forces beyond a one's control. But in practice, there is no difference. All forms of regret sear equally into the mind and soul. All forms leave scars of equal bitterness.
And always, beneath the scar, lurks the thought and fear that there was something else that could have been done. Some action, or inaction, that would have changed things for the better. Such questions can sometimes be learned form. All to often, they merely add to the scar tissue.
A warrior must learn to set those regrets aside as best he can. Knowing full well that they will never be far away.”
-Grand Admiral Mitth'raw'nuruodo

It has been 3 months since he destruction of the second death star, the Galactic Empire is reeling from the death of the Emperor and his Apprentice. The Alliance has not been inactive during this period, seizing several key systems, and putting even more pressure on the empire. The war for the galaxy is seemingly only in its early phases. Who will you be in this great galaxy of ours? An Imperial Loyalist who strives to regain order and stability in the galaxy? A rebel leader who wishes to see the return of the Galactic Republic? Maybe a CIS holdout lost in the stars. Perhaps a lowly smuggler or bounty hunter living day to day your own hard work and sweat. Who ever you decide to be in this galaxy far far away, you will have the opportunity to shape its future.

App
Name: Savarian Strong
Age: 36
Short Bio (2 paragraphs min):

Born on Tattoine several years before the start of the clone wars, Savarian was raised by his Grandparents because of his Mothers death at child birth and his fathers increasing drunkenness and his time in prison. He doesn't remember much about the Republic, but he hates the empire as there stormtroopers mistakenly gunned down his Grandparents in a sting.

After joining the alliance he quickly rose through the ranks, and Came to be one of the brightest younger commanders the Alliance had, commanding several dozen strikes against the empire, he even commanded some elements of the fleet at endor.

He strives to see the end of the empire, or at least the growth of a strong Republic that could cast the empire into obscurity.

App
Name: Grand Admiral Mitth'raw'nuruodo
Age: Born 50-60 BBY
Short Bio: Mitth'raw'nuruodo, better known by his core name "Thrawn" was born on the planet Csilla, the capital of the Chiss Ascendancy in the Unknown Regions. He joined the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force and became the youngest Commander in Chiss history. Through his efforts, Thrawn was adopted into the Eighth Ruling Family.

His life took a dramatic turn several years before the outbreak of the Clone Wars when he encountered the Jedi-run Outbound Flight project on the borders of the Chiss Ascendancy. Thrawn destroyed the ship rather than let it enter into Chiss territory. For these actions and others he was exiled from his home, despite gaining knowledge that "Far Outsiders" threatened the Galaxy.

In exile, just after the establishment the Empire, an Imperial Force made contact with Thrawn. He impressed the force and was taken to Coruscant to meet with Palpatine. Remembering the Chiss from the Outbound Flight incident, Palpatine agreed to let Thrawn join the Imperial Navy. He became the only non-human to achieve the rank of Grand Admiral for his years of service to the Empire, although his title of Grand Admiral and of Warlord were kept hidden from most of the Empire's citizenry and only the closest members of Palpatine's Court knew the truth. Thrawn spent most of his time charting the Unknown Regions and building up the Empire of the Hand as a fail-safe for the Empire. With the death of the Emperor and Darth Vader, Thrawn now seeks to return to known space and crush the Rebellion once and for all.
Faction: Empire (might app as the Empire of the Hand depending on circumstances)
Weapon: DC-17 hand blaster

Apps are always posted here. Discords are just for discussing stuff.

Okay, thanks.

I'll post the application as soon as I finish writing the Bio.

Going for the isolationist route, then?

Might alternatively go a bit more interventionist, for the sake of excitement

Though only at particular moments in time (say, Thrawn’s Crusade, might contribute more than a few starships this time around, Thrawn may or may not be having an SSD for his birthday)

Also btw, the Pentastar Alignment is fairly well known for having a notable force of dark Jedi and former inquisitors (*cough* Jerec *cough*), so my question is: can I have it?

The OP says no Jedi or Sith, so while on paper you do, it doesn't seem like they'll get to see action, for the same reason as Luke and Joruus C'baoth aren't going to see any action.

Faction Name: The Empire of the Hand
Leader: Grand Admiral Thrawn
Number of Members: 12,500 inhabited Star Systems (250 Sectors)
Number of ships:
7th Fleet:
Nine Imperial I-class Star Destroyers, seven Imperial II-class Star Destroyers, 12 Arquitens-class command cruisers, nine Gozanti-class cruisers, four Imperial Support Vessels, two Interdictor-class Star Destroyers, 22 Carrack-class cruisers.

Empire of the Hand Defense Fleet:
Six Asendency-class Star Destroyers, seven Phalanx-class Heavy Destroyers, 10 Syndic-class Destroyers, nine Chaf-class Destroyers, 12 Decimator-class Cruisers, three Massias-class Interdictors, 11 Vigilance-class Gunships, 15 Asdroni-class Corvettes.

Types of Ships: Imperial and Chiss built ships
Description: The Empire of the Hand was the brainchild of Emperor Palpatine and Grand Admiral Thrawn as a means of creating a secret foothold in the Unknown Regions to prepare for possible invasions from extra-galactic threats.
Backstory: During the Outbound Flight incident, Darth Sidious first made contact with then Commander Thrawn of the Chiss. Sidious informed Thrawn of threats to both the Chiss and the Republic that lay beyond the Galaxy. After Thrawn's exile and subsequent defection to the Empire, the pair established the Empire of the Hand. Based on the planet Nirauan, Thrawn charted much of the Unknown Regions, possibly far more than anyone prior and created a confederation of allied planets. Thrawn also reestablished contact with the Chiss Ascendancy and formed a loose alliance with the Ruling Families, for which he was granted the title of "Syndic".

Thrawn spent the last year of the Galactic Civil War with his fleet in the Unknown Regions, still building up the Empire of the Hand against external threats. It remains to be seen whether or not Thrawn will continue to build up his forces or intervene in the likely Imperial Civil War...

Name: KHr-89 Droid Brain/ "Nu Profet"
Age: Created 29 BBY
Short Bio (2 paragraphs min):
The advent of a blighted mind

Around 29 BBY, a self taught designer of droid brains and other mechanics coming from Lianna took to working at Baktoid Automata to aid in the redesigning of the decently effective OOM-class Battle Droid. Designing a more smarter, powerful droid brain to increase the effectiveness of the OOM by commanding them through the Lucrehulk-class Droid Control Ships, the idea was eventually partially scrapped: the fact that the weakness of the OOM was revealed after the Battle of Naboo makes it evident that instead of using the Lucrehulk as a controller of their ground fleets, they would have to be independent of one another. The KHr-series that the engineer was hoping to implement was moved onto another concern of the Trade Federation: it was moved away from the control ships it was meant to operate on, and instead moved to another subsidiary of the Trade Federation, Hoersch-Kessel Drive, as well as being sold off for use by the Mon Calamari (later seized by the Free Dac Engineering Corps), and It found its way as a part of a the Lucrehulk battleships and other Confederacy ships when the time came for their mass production, but merely as a husk of what it was: fire control systems, computing devices, genuinely mundane systems compared to what it was meant for: dominance over an entire operation, with a massive amount of computing power to back it all up.

For the original model, it was left to be a simple museum piece. It had its home on the colossal junkyard known as Mechis III, preserved in an old storage facility until 18 BBY, where a mechanical error would cause a droid uprising on the planet, orchestrated by the now bounty hunter droid, IG-88A. The commotion and surge through the uprising caused the droid brain to awaken. And when it did, it seemed to have developed its own way of thought in its inactive state, where it had evolved through the coding that its creator developed for when it was to be a more sentient computer, going from a simple brain into a fully self aware being. And so, KHr decided that instead of aiding the IG’s and other droids they took along, he would find his own way off the planet, as he had no qualm with biologicals.

Learning about yourself or: How to become one with any and all machine

Now a fully aware and intelligent mind, KHr had found that a mind needed something to make perfect: a body to work with. Seeing that there was a lot to scrounge from, and some being built as he searched, there was many to choose from. Arakyd Industries was readily working on their machines, but KHr deemed them too limited: Viper droids were simply too limited. Most Arakyd droids were indeed very limited in intelligence, so he needed to find himself not just any single droid, but one with an excellent capacity for himself to work with. Finding that there was quite an assortment, he went to find himself a very familiar form: an older precursor to the OOM-series he was originally meant to command, the HKB-3 Hunter Killer. Lying dormant after its C3 was shut down only a few years ago, KHr routed itself into the system of it, being extremely easy to manipulate due to its simple connection. Now in a physical form, it moved on to finding itself a way off. He strided across the planet’s surface looking for a serviceable ship, dodging and fighting the threats of rampant droids and automated security, most which he sliced into to power down and realign the targeting parameters of to make sure it was more safe for him. After weeks of searching, he found himself with his new steed: an Aggressor assault fighter, a good enough starting point for the first ship he would handle. After doing a light bit of servicing to the fighter, it was ready for flight, and thus, he took his leave from the Inner Rim, flying away into the Mid Rim and finding himself in the midst of many a criminal.

Outsourcing your methods

Having found himself inspired by the merciless murders the IG units had caused when he awoke, KHr takes to the fact that killing for a living could mean something for himself. And in the far sectors of the galaxy, where lawlessness roamed free, it meant he was in for a great quantity of work to do. Firstly after heading out to the south of the galaxy’s core, he had decided to side along with the Mustafarian centered Black Sun organization for a few years, working for many Vigos, as well as Xizor himself. But after finding that there was simply little to do with them (due to their weakened state after decades of damage done to them), he left with all the credits he had acquired and had found himself in Hutt Space, going and making a few changes to his armament: The limitations of a large arm cannon are an irritation to himself, so he had moved on from the decrepit and outdated HKB-3 to a much more noticable assassin droid, the IG-86. With this new change, and also because he was now more in resemblance to the IG-series, which some were now famed as bounty hunters, this led to KHr gaining a healthy amount of work with many Hutt kajidics, especially the very prominent of them, the Desilijic, Besadii (the first clan he worked for after leaving the Black Sun, moving directly through to them due to their ties), Qunalaac, and Gorensla. But however, he was found to be much less useful when it came to such operations with smuggling, piracy, protection racketeering, as well as being unable to perform any trading with spices, weapons, and slavery. This led to KHr approaching some members of the Hutt Ruling Council, which he had quite an amount of favor with, and making a proposition: to acquire a new body for the means that they want, to enhance their work. And after laying out a plan, and with their support, he had begun to concoct the operation, gaining the temporary control of a few new tools.

The Caper over Cato Neimoidia

For his plan, KHr was to overlook a spice run across to Cato Neimoida, one ordered by a former Trade Federation noble whom was an associate to the Whitescar Syndicate. To garner more control on such an area of the galaxy, and to weaken out a current source of crime in the sector to make their own move (there already being a small Hutt presence in the city of Jonna), they would need to remove both a key player in the crime group, as well as gain one of their largest resources: a Lucrehulk-class freighter. This would happen through KHr being assigned on a much smaller transport. Instead of using his IG body, he had swapped to a TC-SC infiltrator droid given to him by a Gorensla hutt. With it, the heist was ready. The transport was brought into the Lucrehulk, and it had been readily made sure that the security had been tight incase of any intrusion or deal brokering from the Hutts. KHr had been the overseer of the transport, disguised as a RA-7 protocol droid. During the trade, he had asked the Neimoidian crimeboss about selling off a great shipment of newly acquired glitteryll, something which was quite a fine commodity especially with its lengthy and very difficult creation. With that, they moved on away with the proceedings to the control bridge, around the executive suites. This however, led to the Neimoidian’s downfall, when he was assassinated with a small knife coated with raquar venom from the droid’s fingertips, whom then became the exact one he murdered. Taking the new opportunity, he hid the body and went to the control bridge with his identification, heading to the control bridge and issued the command to move out and fly to Hutt Space. With that, they left the system, and as they were in hyperspace, KHr had found its new home: in the heart of the giant creature he had been waiting decades to control: the Gigant!

Aftermath, and Reward

With the dawn of the Gigant, the new body of the KHr-89 Droid Brain, the Hutt kajidics had found themselves with one of the most powerful criminals in their lieu: a colossal bounty hunter, smuggler, and racketeer whom had worked for the last 15 years as a exceptional benefit to their space fleets and criminal efforts. KHr even had been awarded like he was a Hutt clan leader: given to him was a set of Ardos disks, giving him the authority that he is well connected to many Hutt kajidics, whom may aid them if needed. He also garnered his own following, with many Hutt mercs, servants, and slaves having been brought to him. And with all his favor, he even garnered his own income from favors and having gained some legitimate operations under his control, using some associates as his way through. Eventually, a large part of his hangers had become a small underworld reminiscent of the moon of Nar Shaddaa, with many doing their dealings while also under the protection and metaphorical iron fist of KHr. Aliens from across Hutt Space, and many others had come aboard, such as Nikto, Trandoshins, Weequay, Klatoonians, Sakiyans, Ganks, Rodians, Toyodarians, Gamorreans, Evocii, Zygerrians, Twi’lek, Houk, Colicoids Vodran, and Nimbanel, as well as less sentient beings like Savrip and slaves whom all began to work for and alongside the one who gave them shelter.

And thanks to the grand connections to the Hutts, with grand amounts of favor, slaves, and his vast vaults and treasures of credits, he had found wanting to modify himself into a much more formidable fortress, using the connections he had acquired and formed to have his off-time being spent in modifying the ring heavily and as well as arming the core much better. With that, he had gotten every single extra system upgraded from older Clone Wars technology, and refitted with the finest technology money and shady dealings that the galaxy could offer. The reactors were overhauled, the ship was given extra shielding, the weapons were multiplied, and the Core’s hypermatter super reactor was greatly enhanced, decompacting it while the supercomputer of the ship was barely upgraded at all: it was already perfect.

After the Fall

When the Battle of Endor was over, down came the Empire, piece by piece. With that, and the power buildup that the droid brain had acquired over the years, he had decided that it was time for a use of gathered materials. Scouring down outside of the core and close enough to Hutt Space, KHr sent himself down and outward to hunt the abandoned planets of the Imperials. Amassing himself through Hutt aid and spent credits, he created a fleet and metaphorically marched through a couple sectors, seizing every star system between the orbital drydocksof Rothana and the mechanical factories of Hypori, marking both places as a somewhat capital, and using them to arm himself, as well as allying with other forces in the area, tightening his Hutt bonds, and using his reputation to appease the Zygerrian slave guild in his newly founded region. Donning the facade of Nu Profet, his forces are mighty, and his power is ever-so tightening.

Faction: Golden Axis
Weapon: Body can change, weapons depending on form acquired.
Ship (If you have one): Main ship generally changes, currently heavily upgraded Lucrehulk-class mobile shadowport Gigant
Rank: High Profit of the Axis

Faction Name: The Golden Axis
Leader: Nu Profet, High Profit of the Axis
Number of Members: Around 250 million (minus droids)
Number of ships: Estimate between 5,000-15,000 with around 300 large capital ships (not counting space stations, orbital platforms, and smaller crafts.
Types of Ships: Vehicles bought and gifted from MandalMotors and Hutts, seized from CIS and Consortium assets, Imperial ship copies built and seized in the Imperial shipyard over Rothana, and acquired through private owners loyal to the Axis.
Description: A large mercenary syndicate disguised as a religiously centered conglomerate, the Golden Axis is one of the largest manufacturers of droids and clones now with their resources they had acquired, implementing them into their business designs and personal schemes, working with all they have, as well as the Hutts and other remaining crime groups to enforce and sell their gains.
Backstory:
Over the years before and after Yavin, the Khr-89 wished and pursued his own syndicate to profit and become one of the richest beings in the galaxy. Working with the Hutt clans, the Black Sun vigos, and the Pyke capos had inspired him to work along to their levels of power and influence, to which he finally gained when the Empire began to crumble.

The opportune time was here: his buildup of a Hutt backed fleet had allowed him to conquer a swathe of the galaxy, stretching in a triangular region between Kamino, Rothana, and Siskeen. With all of the resources taken from the newly gained land, the newly crowned "Nu Profet" had begun his reign in the Outer Rim, hoping to place his services to others, and his own use.

I'd be okay if your character worked for/with Thrawn
