OOC: By Request of Arengin; We can figure out where everyone is once they've hit the ground.

These are generalized to allow for users to
Disperse - Initial Count: 249/250

As the last of the crew got on board their respective escape pods, all the pods would be jettisoned, only leaving behind the dead and mortally wounded that couldn't be moved in time. The pods' thrusters push them off in various directions, though all on a trajectory to intercept with Snomia 0B80. The boarding crafts of the Reformation Belis would eventually disconnect before it became too late and move away from the Star of Fortune, leaving the descending ship on its own.

For the most part, the RB wouldn't notice the escape pods until they were a good distance from the main ship. The smaller escort ships would open fire on the pods, very few of the first shots connecting. Once the first pod was damaged, the rest of the ships would notice and open fire. Exploding pods would send nearby pods off in various directions, scattering them and making their paths more erratic. As they'd get closer to the atmosphere, they would be out of range of the missiles, though the kinetic shots could still hit if they were aimed correctly. So, for the most part, the surviving pods escaped the fate of being blown up in space. But the pods still had to make their descent before their troubles were over.

Descent - Initial Count: 198/250

The escape pods would begin to feel the turbulence of the atmosphere. Thankfully, from initial scans, the wind patterns weren't too much harsher than Earth pre-bombardment or Scorn 10. But that only meant there was just as much atmosphere to get through in an uncontrolled descent. If the colonists looked out their windows, flames would begin to envelop all the pods. Many of the pods wouldn't even be able to see other pods as they would have been so off track that they're alone.

Pods that were scraped by bullets would finally get to feel its effects as some would overheat and burn up. While the burn up count was low, many parachutes failed to deploy when they were supposed to. Some deployed late, others not at all.

Landing - Initial Count: ERROR/250

Then came the ground. Many of the undeployed-chute pods smashed into the waters of the planet. If the impact of a fully-loaded freight train hitting you full speed wasn't enough to kill someone, the collapse of the pods and eventual sinking and drowning would. The other pods would smash into the ground, scattered about over several thousands of miles of land. Some of the landings wouldn't be pretty, but those that managed would find themselves far and stranded, with maybe only groups of four or less.

John Cash
Inside a escape pod

John made sure that the one injured Marine was strapped in and he strapped himself into the escape pod, he wasn't sure what would happen once they jettisoned from the ship. He said a quick prayer. Then he had some time to think about what would happen, he had been on that ship for a few years, he made friends, grown relationships. It had really become his home. But, it's all crashing to an end. Now, he's starting a new adventure on a totally different planet. And, this wasn't how it was supposed to happen, not in an escape pod traveling at hundreds of miles per hour, but in a more organized manner. It sucked.

But, he needed to get that thought out of his head. It wasn't helping him now, it was a worthless thought that only slowed him down. He needs to be prepared for what might happen next. He looked around, he saw the snake-like robot follow him in, as long with the Marine that he worked with in defending the pods, Sgt. Markevez and a few robots. Everyone was strapped in, then a sudden burst of thrust and rumbling the escape pod left the ship, then the pod stopped shuddering and smoothed out. They were in open space, being in open space in a small ship put an uneasy feeling of being exposed on John Cash. Then a few minutes later the main ship that attacked the Star of Fortune opened fire on some of the escape pods, some of them were hit, causing explosions and throwing others off of their initial path. Usually, Cash felt calm in these situations, but this time he was nervous. He had butterflies in his stomach, he was sweating and he closed his eyes tightly. Gripping tightly onto his rifle, John knew his life was in God's hands, whatever happened next was supposed to be fate.

SCATTERED AND AFRAID

The shaking was violent, the sound of clanks and the thrusters progressively loosing energy as the pod began to descend rapidly to the planet's ground. Markevez looked around him, his expression still and his lips stiffing while looking at a nervous and obviously scared Cash. The turbulence began to die out as the pod's AI measured the falling distance. 10,000 feet became 9,000 then 8,000 and then 7,000 all down until it was 1,000.

"EVERYONE, HOLD ON!" Markevez yelled at top of his lungs. Suddenly there was a hit, the landing propellers had failed to lessen the impact as the parachute then deployed. The pod fell down rapidly, crushing everything in its path, through trees and vegetation. All until finally there was a hit and then, for Makevez and about everyone else an impact knockout.

"You have arrived at //aksjjksalpp// DESIGNATION @E*@)$*$&NDO!**#*!@$$&^#&*(!) Please remain calm and exit the pod in a calm and orderly fashion, local authorities should be inbound soon.

Sparks coming from monitors, windows cracked and the interior made a complete mess. Markevez opened his eyes to find himself dangling upside down, looking right at the opposite side seats. He felt numb and sore, as he looked around him he saw both people obviously dead, and others not so much. The front monitors were on fire and the emergency exit door was half open, letting a slim light of the Snomia sun shine right in. The sergeant wasted no time to unbuckled from his place and as soon as he did he hold onto the side racks so to not fall into the either knocked out or dead passenger right below him, he was finally able to find a good space to walk and avoid stepping into anyone.

He checked himself, nothing missing. He then checked around for his weapon, found it right on the floor, still in pristine condition thank god. After strapping the gun in his back Markevez used the floor's emergency ladder to pull himself up towards the light. The shuttle door half open, passing by the inactive robots he moved towards the door and pushed it to fully open it and reveal they had crashed into a thick green area, almost like a swamp, the pod had landed right into a not so deep marsh. The sounds around the area where of familiar typical swamps and wetlands, but the vegetation was noticeably much weirder.

Markevez got his AR-60 from his back and hold onto it with the right hand while holding onto a rack with the left one. He then spoke to whoever was still alive inside of the pod. He hoped to god he wasn't the only one that made it.

"Okay, anyone who is still alive sound off!" He waited for a response.

///BOOTING
Init....

With a whirling sound the snake like robot, MRS-3DN4's ocular sensor activated and it rose it's head. It had not been active when Markevez made his way to the door but began assessing the situation. It had- lost some memory during what ever event had caused it's deactivation. One might say it had been an improper shutdown. Something wasn't right with the unit but due to some fragmented data it was unable to register what was internally wrong. It looked around- uncoiling from what ever it had been secured to. It was- lost.

Upon Markevez's command- it found meaning. "Edna!" it expressed- the first time it had it's self used the name- it was the first thing to come to the machine's rattled circuits, "Here- ready to serve." It moved and coiled just a mild distance from Markevez with eagerness as it gazed up at the man. The unit was different- and it couldn't place how it had changed. It awaited instruction.

AMBER would sit up, dazed as her systems recalibrate. "All Systems Functional. Rebooting." She would come to just as a snake-like object would uncoil from her arm, watching it slither off before realizing it was headed for the door. And someone was in the doorway. Without a suit. In an open doorway. And it's light out. And they're not wearing an evac suit. AMBER would jump up quickly, though would smack her head into something hard and fall back to the ground. "I'm okay."

She'd sit up slower this time, looking up to find AMHLR staring down at her, the bang having awoken him. "General Electric AutoMated Heavy Lifting Robot Dash Zero One One One Seven Two reporting for duty Sergeant Markevez." AMBER would raise her hand towards him. "AMBER, reporting for duty sir. Where is your evac suit?"

I liked what Harbertia did, so I stole it. And used some both real and made up code.

Geoffrey Landwall,
Snomia 0B80

The pod Geoffrey was in along with other engineers and a few more civilians was in a sorry state. Their pod's parachute failed to deploy and the kinetic energy and the force that was generated from falling from the planet's atmosphere had resulted in a disastrous landing as it was stuck on the ground and the topside loomed the nose.

There were eight people on board, five engineers and three civilians. As the pod's doors opened and the survivors dug their way through the eroded dirt, some used their shoes to kick it inside while two others used the butt of their Castillano to speed up the process, once there was a hole big enough for others to escape only four emerged, Geoffrey, two other engineers and a lucky civilian that wasn't crushed by the armor wearing personnel.

Looking at their situation they didn't know where they were nor whether or not there were others that survived the escape pods but for now the survivors agreed on one thing:Don't leave the pod until someone comes to pick them up but from the looks of it, it's going to take a while.

John Cash
Snomia 0B80

All that John could remember was the large planet slowly expanding as the escape pod approaches the surface of the planet. Then blackness. The sudden force of the impact knocked John out. Slowly opening his eyes it was dark, but sparks were coming from monitors, his eyes were blurry. John could feel perspiration on his face. The pod was oddly humid. John kept closing his eyes, trying to get whatever rest he could, it was a very long day.

Then he heard a commotion, Sgt. Markevez had awoken and got free from his seat and asked for a sound off, the small snake-like robot that helped the injured Marine had awoken and it proceeded to sound off "Edna!" it said. Another of the robots had rebooted and quickly rose to hit its head then falling back down, it had awoken another robot "General Electric AutoMated Heavy Lifting Robot Dash Zero One One One Seven Two",

011172 John thought, making a mental note in his head, then the robot that caused the ruckus sounded off, "AMBER", another mental note John made in his head.

He then sounded off, with a confidence that only a Marine could have, "Sir! Private First Class Cash, reporting for duty! Sir!", that let everyone know that he was okay. Once John completely got his bearings John started to look for his rifle, his rifle was useless without him and he was useless without it, that's what Bootcamp instilled into John's brain. He checked himself, making sure he had everything, his Combat Uniform was in decent condition, his body armor was still on him and he had his AR-60 rifle and APP-3 pistol, and plenty of ammunition. He also had his survival kit. Once he made sure everything was in place and alright he then left the Escape pod meeting up with Sgt. Markevez, realizing why the pod was so humid, they were in some type of swamp or marshland! He then heard things he hasn't heard in a long time, he heard the sounds of nature. Everything seemed right but the fauna had something odd about them, it was weird, John couldn't quite put his finger on it.

He then started to talk to Sgt. Markevez, "Sir, I apologize for breaking bearing on the escape pod, Marines, in general, shouldn't have shown the weakness I had when we descending, I have no excuses, Sir," and then John started to explore just a little bit, he didn't stray too far from the escape pod and Sgt. Markevez, he was just intrigued by the new and unusual bugs flying around him, some that had a painful bite on them. And about the new fauna, but then he remembered who we was. He was a Colonial Marine and he made his way back to Sgt. Markevez and he stood at attention waiting for any orders to be given.

Edna
Snomia 0B80

The robot slithered a short distance next to Makevez's feet after the Marine, John, made his landing in the swamp below. She zoomed her ocular focus in on the man as he apologized for leaving the pod and started looking around. As he stood at attention Edna realized a grave danger in the insects and it's circuits strained to devise a course of action. Back on the ship the unit had been by the code in how to react but now something was different; "The Private is not within the confines of an EVA suit." It said looking up towards Makevez and jolting back and up a little as it realized something else; "The Sergeant himself is not within an EVA suit. This unit advises sealing the pod and checking the Emergency Broadcast system- NO NO." Something was indeed different about the unit, "They might find us." it said coiling and lowering into that coil- something wasn't keeping the circuits at ease as they where on the ship. It was lost suddenly unsure how to react and 'thinking'- "Sir- I seem to be malfunctioning-" it was stunned by it's own word of 'I' and turned to AMBER correcting itself; "This unit is in need of maintenance." It was- feeling- feeling- fret.

AMBER and AMHLR
Snomia 0B80

AMBER would watch from her seat, AMHLR, dropping out of his seat and landing in front of AMBER. He would let out a low beep before righting himself and standing up. "The Pods are equipped with Emergency Oxygen Supplies for a full group of ten for thirty days. EVA Suits are only present if the persons on board brought them before getting in." He'd walk up to Markevez, his head nodding to him briefly before stepping fully out of the pod and into the murky water. He'd look around, only taking a few steps away to allow others to get out. The water was up to the general area of their shins, making it at least somewhat bearable rather than it being waist deep.

AMBER would crawl up and out of the pod, poking her head out to look about as she heard the splash. "By the looks of it, we are in a very wet area. Obviously. So, your circuits could be affected by the water if you're not designed to be in this sort of area." She'd slip out herself, landing in the water. "The two of us are designed to be working outside, so we have waterproofing to prevent it from getting in. If you do not, you are free to ride on my shoulders until we find truly dry land. Only salt water can truly affect our parts."

AMHLR would gently nudge her as she stood there. "Unit MRS dash 3DN4 seems to be alerted by its current state of being like you." AMBER would turn to him, her LED dome turning red for a moment before returning to its natural blue color and looking back at Edna. "It's not that bad, I swear. He's just mad he doesn't get free will."

"This Unit gets as much as it needs. No more, no less. This Unit is not a human."

"As I said, he doesn't get it."

Doc

Everything came in to focus slowly. First the buzzing of electricity and the crackle of torn wiring, then the faint smell of smoke from a busted fuse box...then the coppery taste of blood in her mouth.

She lay there for a while, seeing the world of the pod around her swirl around her. Then it came back to her.

The Ship, some hours before.

She had run through all of her LMG ammo, even dumping half a clip down rang at the boarders but they kept coming and coming, likely homing in on their position. She reached down and grabbed the second Grenade off her webbing and, pushing the activator and waiting two seconds (not three, or five) tossed it down the hall.

Hearing the boom, she turned to catch the call from the bot. She turned back again, only to be warded off by rifle fire and made the choice to book it for a pod. Running down the cat walk, she made it to the pod said Bot had ducked in to and for a moment stood over the hatch. "Every one alri-" She didn't get the chance to finish, as a Bullet impacted her side, buckling plate and sinking in to the soft spot just between her ribs and pelvis. Screaming in pain and surprise, she emptied the rest of the mag down the cat walk at the shooter, landing most of her shots and dropping the poor fucker. She turned back to the group of wide eyed (and video receptor) and gave a brief smile. "See you planet side, folks." and slammed the hatch shut, pushing the button to launch the pod.

Racing to the last one in the bay, she leaped in, closed it behind her, and started the launch. She had just gotten her self strapped in when the little metal tube shot out in to the void.

Current time

She got up with a groan. Some how she had been knocked out cold, and out of her seat as well. It took her a moment to find the pod it self upside down, with her gear, and broken parts of the pod, scattered around her. It was this movement that alerted her to the massive spike of pain in her side. The first shot to hit her had been taken care of by the suit, cleaned and sealed, the second one hadn't and given by the amount of blood around her, she had been slowly bleeding out.

She also noticed her helmet had been knocked off and lay some feet away. Getting on her knees, she shambled over to the devise and planted it back on her head.

She sat there for a moment, letting it sync back up with her suit before red warning signes flashed, mostly telling her of an untreated GSW and dangerously low blood levels. She groaned, more so in annoyance.

Reaching for her med kit, she laid out what she would need. First and foremost would be to clean the wound, doing so with a few sprits from the magma spray and some curses, she applied the nanite spray, and using the commands in her helmet, ordered the little bastards to seek out and dissolve any bullet fragments, breaking them down and transporting them to the end of her digestive tracts, were they would pass with her next...number two.

In a sense, she would shit the bullet that nearly killed her out the next time she had to go. The humor was not lost upon her. She next applied a little more, telling them to standby and aid the nanites in her gauze patch she promptly applied to the bullet wound.

She replaced her armor and kit back in to its proper place and sighed. The pod was closed as best as she could tell, and she knew full well moving with a plasma level as low as hers was dangerous.

So, in light of those conclusions, she fished around her pack for a ration and proceeded to munch on it.

Edna observed and listened- it's ocular sensors zooming out as it took in the words and began lowering it's self towards AMBER, "While capable of operating underwater I prefer the arrangement of riding upon you- I may resemble some local fauna and be mistaken for such and never seen again. From your shoulder I'll be able to monitor our surroundings for potential hazards far easier then I could registering images from the waters of this swampland. I can certainly investigate if such is demanded by our masters but for the time being I'd prefer to take the offer of riding you." Edna paused somberly, "Though we need direction from Markevez, he may desire us to labor upon the pod." Edna began to drop from the pod hoping to be caught.

Snomia 0B80

The planet was extensive, vibrant, and colorful. Varied was the landscape through and through, it was such that was not seen a lot by most. As the ships of the Reformation Belis began to descend to the surface the soldier and crew within them could only watch in awe at just how beautiful the planet was. Deserts with plants never seen before, swamps with fluorescent flora, forests and jungles hiding the most strange of creatures within them. It was odd to find a planet so similar to the old Earth and yet ever so weird. For the men and women of the Belis this was a new experience, many of them recruited from worlds such as Filphian O92, or Delhi Opan 5Ps4, mining planets where the sun was darkened by black mist created by the phosphorous from the plants, or the massive ships of the Commonwealth shipping materials back to capital worlds. Some of them had never seen a sky so blue and clouds white like cotton or the stars on the Gulbian Sytems.

The planet was now adorned with hundreds of escape pods, the ones that hadn't been eradicated by C-Beams were now crashed on the surface's of the planets, the many biomes around it. Scanners also detected a massive energy emission coming from the very center of the crash site of the Star of Fortune. Hauser had given orders to wipe out any resistance remaining from the ship's security and military detachments, and bring captive any stragglers. It was a merciful order one might think, but not meaning compassion for the civilians that had survived, merely using them for a grander cause that the Belis was aiming at. Transport ships could be seen flying up above everywhere on the planet, where there was smoke you'd be sure to see them. It was clear the Belis was in full force and not joking around, and the Tribune was not here to save those that had survived, at least not for now.

Several landing crafts, and some cruisers arrived to land. Dozens of foot soldiers clearing a perimeter on areas of landing and camp tents and insta building's being set. Immediately, it was clear some aspects of the planet were hostile as many curious soldiers found plants that would spout acid at the first touch, fizzle sharp spines, or any other nasty things. Hauser for his part had landed in a frigate, escorted by several attack ships and with soldiers waiting on him, right at a desert like location where several pods have been found, the people once in them dead, captured, or gone.

The hunt was on, as not only did regular troops arrive, but the far more deadly ones would begin operations soon, and Hauser was not going to waste time in getting that Core.

Escape pod #234

Markevez had ignored the robot's attention to him not wearing the usual evac suit, he really didn't care anymore. He was alive, he was breathing fresh air, perhaps not from the lands of Haskter, but it was clean and he was alive. He was also bleeding, he'd barely notice the dripping blood coming from top of his head, leaking out of his helmet and moving across his face.

The robots were operational, that was something at least. And private Cash was alive, that was also good too. But no word from anyone else. He kept ignoring the call of attention from the small Edna robot as well as the AMBER robot, he moved back into the inside of the pod and began checking for pulses on each of the people strapped in the seats. First one, dead, second one, dead, third, fourth, fifth, all dead. With a disheartened look on his face, Markevez only sighed and moved forward to the control seat. Water was leaking and sparks were flashing all around, he was not gonna stay here any longer, but he knew what he needed. The sergeant grabbed the distress beacon on the underneath of the pilot seat, he then quickly began to make his way to the exit, grabbing several survival kits on his way out.

The sergeant jumped out, landing right into the shallow water and moving across it into the green undergrowth thick land of the swamp. He set the beacon as well as the kits on the ground, standing right besides Cash who looked at him with a tired but ready face. The boy was waiting for orders, but what could Markevez really order from him. Two Tribune soldiers and three robots, like the beginning of a bad joke.

Markevez deactivated his rig's helmet, revealing a medium size cut above his brow which began to bleed more as soon as the helmet was off. Markevez took a knee and opened one of the kits, taking out a small medical box he took our a bandage, gauze, and disinfectant.

"Everyone in there is dead... I don't know where we are... I don't know what we can do. But I'm sure we're not the only ones." He applied the disinfectant to the gauze and then set it on his cut. The piercing burning made him groan with pain. He quickly applied the bandage on the cut and continued talking as he applied the bandage.

"We need to away from this pod, find others, and see what we do. The Belis didn't just attack us for nothing, a Tribune's fleet would've already decimated them hours ago. We're incommunicated and stranded. So we find higher ground and see where the ship crashed. Everyone set?" Markevez finished bandaging his wound, looking at Cash and the robots as well, as if they really had a choice in the matter, still it felt as if they were not so alone.

John Cash

All John could do was listen carefully and study Markevez. Markevez was obviously a little shaken about everything that happened. Especially seeing that everyone else besides the three robots were dead. Well, the robots weren't exactly alive, living beings. For the time being that put a small feeling of loneliness on John, he and Sgt. Markevez were the only humans around. At least the only two that he knew of. Sgt. Markevez felt a similar feeling. He had the feeling that the escape pod he, Cash and the three robots were on. That they were not the only ones who survived.

After hearing Sgt. Markevez speak, John knew that the game plan was to get away from the pod, hopefully, find other pod survivors. And get to higher ground. John answered simply with an, "Aye aye, sergeant," pledging his allegiance to follow orders to the best of his ability.

Snomia 0B80
Operation Code name: "Recollection"

The roaring sound of an Enforcer V1B's engine soared through the skies of Snomia 0B80, several other ships could be spotted from miles away flying around hovering above the thick and dense tree lines of the jungles and swamps that made up a large majority of Snomia's surface. Theheat detection cameras could barely work with such a humid and hot environment, still the search for survivors of the Fortune was still on as the main encampments were being set around the main crash. This particular Enforcer V1B was filled with no the usual RB soldiers, within the ship was a darkened passenger bay with only dim red lights being the only thing visible, all across what could only be the walls of the bay.

The pilot of the ship began to check on the main terminal, several abnormalities highlighted as the skies of Snomia began to be covered by thick grey clouds and thunder could be heard even from within the ship. "Sir, we're closing in to the crash site, but a massive storm has been gathering around the area, there also seems to be quite an emission of radiation. I don't know how long we can stay in the area, the storms here are unpredictable" The pilot kept his eyes on the screen as he addressed the man right behind him.

It was clear that a storm was approaching, but he didn't care, he had a job to make and he had never backed down for nothing, not even a storm."We're going in. The Commander wants to know if that Core is still intact and we're making sure it is." His voiced echoed into the dead quiet passenger bay filled with red lights, his voice firm and determined and it was clear he was the one giving orders.

The pilot obeyed the as he moved the ship across the jungled landscape, passing by a series of odd shaped mountains of sorts. This was going to go smoothly and they would fulfill their mission, he'd make sure of that. The ship moved fast, pass more of those weird cylinder like mountains, and a massive thunderbolt visible from afar, not too far from the crash site.

Sergeant Leon Markevez

With Cash ready to roll out, and the robots lacking any sort of capability to pose the contrary, Markevez set his helmet on his back and with little problem got to his feet, holding now to his AR-60 he racked the bolt to check for ammunition, he was set. They'd need to get to higher ground, but they wouldn't do that just sitting on their asses.

"We move with care and we don't split. We'll head West, see what we find. Robots, try and use scanners to find any major life signs, see if there's any survivors around. Cash, cover my six. Let's go." Markevez moved to the AMHLR named blue robot and strapped the survival kits on its back, then he began to head to the swamp, in direction West following his pad's compass, he expected Cash and the robots to be right behind him or at his sides. The swamp had so many sounds, ticks and noises, all different and all made his skin crawl to some degree as they were now heading into the unknown.

Escape Pod 114
Geoffrey Landwall

The survivors of Pod 114 just stood, two of the four walked in circles as they decided what to do as the other two were lying on top of the pod, slanted and with their arms tucked behind their necks as their feet either touched each other or spread apart in a rhythm that was not going to stop soon. Geoffrey Landwall marched around with his shotgun trying to make sense of things and the environment around him. Near a forest on an unknown planet along with being stranded without the rest of the crew was a scenario Geoffrey never thought much less the rest of the survivors.

Stopping in his dilemma as the other person continued in hers. Kicking the escape pod two metallic thuds filled the hollow, half buried tube.

"So, when the fuck are you guys going to take everything seriously?" He shouted as only one of the two responded appropriately by looking down upon him rather than ignore him.

"We're stuck on an unexplored planet away from the rest. What could we do Geoff?" A sigh and a nod was his response but before he returned to his lack of responsibilities he gave his panicking co-worker something to do, "Why don't you wait inside the pod? See if we can still send a message, but I recommend we hold off for a while, in case there's no one near us yet."

Sitting on the ground before slipping inside the pod's door Geoffrey nearly fell back to the pile of the dead. Unsure how they would bury them he left them lying on the nose before he sent a distress signal for a few quick seconds before killing them once more, hoping someone caught a glimpse of them and awaited for a message of sorts inside.

John Cash

"Aye aye, sergeant" John repeated after hearing Sgt. Markevez's orders. "Cover your six, got it," John put on his emergency survival gear bag on his back and checked his ammo. John turned on his helmet, checking vitals and then turned it off. He needed to conserve the battery. He then followed Sgt. Markevez, checking behind himself every once and a while. John also saw lots of interesting fauna, he saw these huge thorn plants, some were forty-ish feet tall, and shaped like giant leaves. Given different circumstances, John might have actually enjoyed himself, but he had a mission to accomplish and that was what he needed to focus on.

AMBER and AMHLR

Amber would lift Edna onto her shoulders, letting her grip on however she needs so she's high up. "I recommend you shut down unnecessary functions, since your battery life doesn't last as long." She'd pick up the solar panels, one of the two snapping in half immediately. "We'll all have to conserve..." She'd drop the broken panel, placing the good panel on an attachment point on her back.

AMHLR would accept the bags, adjusting them so as to keep his center of gravity centered and his movements unhindered.

Amber would walk up alongside Sgt. Markevez as he begins to move, her scanners powering up and scanning in short bursts to maintain some battery life. "Sergeant Markevez, if we are headed towards the ship, we must be careful. If the reactor walls breached, we could be dealing with up to 700 rems from the exposed core. This is fatal for all who are exposed within thirty days. If we plan on getting to the ship, we may need to look into making sure we can find engineering suits for everyone."

Snomia 0B80

The jungles of Snomia 0B80 the RB was finding to be thick and hard to transverse in common vehicles like the MRC's and ATF's. As well armored and armed as they were, the jungles in this planet were simply too cramped by undergrowth, trees, vines and flora of odd colors and distinctions. With that, it was now up to the Advance Terrain Walker's to be deployed. RB gunrunner landing craft would take these distinct bipedal vehicles manned by one and capable of carrying two additional troopers. The walkers began to dispersed in areas of interest as destroyed pods were found along with pieces of the wreckage.

The RB had made their presence known by now, with fighters flying around the planet as well as transport and attack ships coming in and out of atmosphere. The encampments had already been set up and it at least a dozen escape pods had been found, some empty, others destroyed, and others with their occupants still present, and now taken captive.

Two ATW's were moving quickly among the swampy regions in the southern region of the planet. The walkers moved quickly as they avoided fallen trees and passed right by several weird animals that would run away as soon as they saw the unknown beings.

The two machines arrived to the site, the pod catching fire as it was half sunken in a green marsh with water turning a blueish green slime around the edges. A soldier jumped from the backside of one of the ATW's and approached then escape pod, it was turned sideways and it seemed that the exit hatch was fully opened. The trooper moved carefully with his R300 ready for anything, only to check inside and find several lifeless bodies of colonist all still strapped to their seats. The soldiers made a frown of disgust, he took a grenade from his belt and activating it he threw it inside and closed the hatch as he moved away. The escape pod explode right behind him.

"Whatchu find G?" Asked the driver of the ATW.

"All dead. We should head East side and regroup wi... Wait a sec." The soldier cut the conversation short as he noticed a trail of tracks going West. Some of the tracks were odd and they seemed to be from hours ago but it was clear the Pod's users were not all dead.

The trooper activated his communication pad and spoke over to HQ.

"Kilo 56 to Alpha. Reporting destruction of pod and finding of tracks of possible survivors. We're in pursuit due West of location, over." The soldier then quickly moved back to the ATW's back.

"We're heading West now. Move out." The ATW's quickly began to follow the tracks.

Markevez and Company

The day had taken much from the group, at least from Markevez and Cash. The jungle had thicken and the sun barely shined through the blueish green of the overcast above the group, a thin fog had developed on the ground, making it hard to see where they one was stepping on at times, was that a rock or some sort of mud. Markevez no longer wore his helmet, opting to better leave his head uncovered as the heat began to set in. It was humid and warm, sweat on his brow and his neck as well as his entire body. But they couldn't stop, they had to find high ground before the sun came down. Speaking of which, the sun hadn't even moved ever since they had arrived to the planet.

"Hey AMBER... You got any calculation on how long are the days in this planet?" Markevez asked while stopping for a few seconds, checking his gun and then his armpad. Out of nowhere he felt something jump right above him, hitting him in the head with something, he wasn't really sure what it was. Another one passed by Cash's head and hit him as well.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!" Markevez yelled as he picked up his rifle and aimed it up on the trees, he saw a bunch of silhouettes up above the trees moving quickly.

"Keep your rifle fixed on them Cash!" Markevez said while deactivating the safety of his AR and prepared to fire in automatic bursts as soon as something got too close. Whatever it was, it would not hit Markevez again, he was already pissed as it was.

Suddenly something jumped down from the up high trees down to the vines and bushes right besides the two soldiers, in between a bunch of rocks and undergrowth. Markevez aimed his rifle at it while stepping back a few. The two Tribune soldiers looked at it, it was like some sort of strange monkey or something. It had two eyes and long strange crane like legs which allowed it to keep balance. It looked at Markevez and Cash for some seconds, its greenish eyes and blue and red pigmentation made Markevez's skin crawl. The monkey like creature then hissed at them like a cat would and it then began to move sideways and shaking, as if it was trying to assert some sort of dominance, it was small and not very frightening to say the least. The creature seemed like it was about to jump on either one of the men.

Markevez simply pushed his rifle forward like a spear and made a loud groan. The creature then squirmed and quickly went back up the trees using the vines and long tube like trees to get itself back up the trees with the others.

"Fucking weird ass planet..." Markevez said to no one in particular.

Escape Pod 114

While Landwall's group tried to think of what to do, an RB Enforver V2T had been detached a few kilometers away from where they were. The ship landed on a small clearing outside of the main rain forest with several scout troopers exiting the ship.

"Alright gentlemen, the scanners caught signals of a few pods here. Happy hunting." The pilot said over the comms as he set the ship on rest mode. The scouts immediately dispersed to begin their search of survivors. Down where Landwall and his group were at the pilot terminal began to flash as it picked up an odd signal. Landwall and his group would have to notice that message that was caught on the relay and act quick.

Pod #058

She had landed in a beach side, her pod had managed to pull out its parachute and landing gliders and the impact had not been very bad, at least comparatively to how other pods had. It was sunny and the sky was blue, the sun glimmering across the sky with the moon of the planet passing by, either bigger or closer to the planet than Earth's or other planets she that there were.

Still, the Pod was in prime conditions and now it was up to Valeria to make plans. Either activate the beacon to let known others of her location, perhaps the flares? Either way, ships could be seen from the horizon due north. She had to make a decision soon.

Pod #236

Though she was safe inside the confines of the escape pod, Jennifer Kaid while eating her rations didn't know the RB had spotted her pod, still intact and unopened. A Gunrunner class ALC flew around the pod for a few minutes trying to scan any life signs, it was hard as the Gunrunner class computers were obsolete to say the least.

The pilot set aside the computer and began to move the ship down to the ground, aiming to land down on the strange colored grassland"Alright Lieutenant, we got another pod down on Sierra. I'm taking us down for a closer look."

The ship made its way down to the ground, it landing right on top of the pinkish and multicolored pasture, making waves of air around which caused dust and pieces of the flora to fly away. The front doors opened to reveal several reg troopers as well as eng troopers of the RB who exited the craft following close behind a trooper with a red patch on his left arm, a symbol of him being group leader.

"Alright ladies! I want a perimeter set around that pod, I want whoever is inside alive and well, if they shoot then shoot back. Let's go." And with that, the squad of RB soldiers under cover of the turret gunners of the ALC gunship began to run across the field towards the pod. Jennifer would have to prepare herself or hope for a miracle, the closed doors would only hold for so long.

Jennifer Kaid
Pod #236

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1Af8RrmLPY
She heard the rumble of engines and sighed. I cant even win for loosing...fuck my life. She went about collecting her gear, taking a moment to think about her plan of action. She could surrender, at any rate she was a medic, and while she still trusted in the rule of law governing warfare, even she new Joney reb just might put another bullet in her.

So, she went about forming a second plan, one that would in a sense, teach them why you do not coroner a combat medic with extensive knowledge of chemicals and substances.

Marine Combat Manuel, article 3, subsection 4/J dictated what a marine could and could not use as am improvised explosive. Of course, being some one who has actually done these things before, she threw that right of the hatch. (its a metaphor)

She took three basic components. A full tube of military grade, omni-commandable nanobots, a whole can of "Magma" medical spray, and the Sodium (in reality a quick reaction Ammonium nitrite based reaction) heating element in the basic Marine MRE...or, rather in her case, 5 of such heating elements. Normal protocol was to add a few tablespoons of water as they tend to only need as much to start the reaction. Over filling tended to cause a much quicker, much more potent reaction akin to a loud flash bang, one that had a nasty habit of acting similar to a military grade flash bang.

5 of these heating elements should compound this reaction. The Magma spray was an added touch as the sticky substance clogged suit filters and covered visors. The Nanites were the final touch as they could be, via a handy programming back door she had discovered some time ago, be ordered to do things outside of their normal medical function. Using said back door, she ordered them to remain dormant until the explosion took place, then to see out and destroy the enemy craft, and with a single tube of the little bastard wich contained a few million of them, she figured they could do some damage.

As a last fuck you, she emptied roughly 20-30 rounds of SMG ammo and 20 rounds of .45 in to the mix. Throwing the whole thing in to a MRE trash back she got up, secured her medical bag, her rifle, and taking one last look around the pod before flipping the hatch opening, ordering her helmet's ear protection to max, and emptying her canteen in to the bag. Tying it close, she waited roughly 3 seconds before the sizzling became audible and with all the might she could muster from her bones (aided by the suit).

The plastic blab of a warcrime sailed through the air and just before it reached the ground the Sodium heating elements hit their peak heat and properly exploded. The bang it self was deafening, more so then even Jen had counted on, but what did the trick was both the can of splay producing a surprisingly large cloud of red dust that spread with the wind, but the rake of pings against the hull of the pod told her that at least some of the bullets went off.

She listened for a moment, hearing a few yells and the sound of engines sputtering out before making the leap. Using her eat for leverage, she pushed her self out of the pod with speed, taking a slight moment to see the various RB members around her either on the ground and groaning, or flailing around trying to get the horrid red shit off their helmets or faces. She slid off the pod and drew her side arm, dropping the two nearest RB members before making a B-line through the field.

She was surprised it actually work.

John Cash

John held his gun up in front of him, carefully scanning his surroundings, while Sgt. Markevez was up from leading the small squad of Robots and a Marine, John was in the back. Making sure nothing snuck up on them and to catch anything that Sgt. Markevez might have missed. His gun let out a slight purple glow from the lines of purple lights running along the side of the gun. While Sgt. Markevez decided to keep his helmet off, due to the heat. John decided to keep it on, though things might have been more uncomfortable, it provided John with much needed vital signs. So far, his internal body temperature was just a little higher than usual, about 98.9° Fahrenheit, it wasn't a problem. His body was just a little warm from hiking his way through this hot, humid and thick jungle.

John kept looking around, his helmet flashlight following every head movement. Though it didn't do much, the light barely penetrated through the darkness. John decided to turn it off, he wanted to see how turning off the helmet-light would affect his visuals. Needless to say, turning it off didn't work. After about thirty seconds his night vision adjusted and he could some lights and things, on was his slightly-glowing rifle, another bluish-green hue from his surroundings and the lights of the robots, and Sgt. Markevez rifle. A slight fog was on the ground, but that and some trees and that was just about all he could see. It gave him an uneasy feeling. Throw not knowing where he was, not knowing what type of creatures there were, and the environment they were in, it was creepy, to say the least.

After a little bit of grunting and making his way through the forest, following the robots and Sgt. Markevez in front of him, Sgt. Markevez finally broke the silence.

"Hey AMBER... You got any calculation on how long are the days in this planet?" John didn't realize up until this point that the sun didn't seem to move from its position in the sky. A few seconds later, something jumped out of the forest and hit Sgt. Markevez in the head. But John couldn't tell, he had his helmet-light off, all he heard was Sgt. Markevez grunting and a little bit of commotion from that direction. John motioned his hand to turn on his helmet-light but something else jumped out at him knocking his hand back and hitting his head.

"What the...?" John said to himself while turning on the helmet light. He then heard Sgt. Markevez shout, "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!", John was just as confused as he was. Sgt. Markevez ordered John to keep his rifle on the silhouettes up in the tree. Aiming upwards, John's light passed over some of them which skittered away quickly deeper into the forest. Then one of them dropped down from up in the trees, it was really weird. It was like a mixture between a bat, a monkey and John didn't know what. He was creeped out but he kept his gun trained on the creature. He was about to kill that poor excuse for a living creature, but the Sgt. Markevez did something weird. John couldn't tell he was focused on the creature, but whatever Sgt. Markevez did it seemed to do the trick. It ran away.

Then after it was gone Sgt. Markevez said, "Fucking weird ass planet..." and John couldn't agree more, he let out a small chuckle, "Yes, sir," he said smiling. But John had one question to ask, just to anyone in general. "I know that we are making our way to high ground, but what are we going to do once we get there? Figure out where we are at or find other survivors or something?" John walked silently waiting for an answer.

AMBER and AMHLR

AMHLR walked in total silence, not making any sounds as he walked save for branches breaking beneath or dead leaves crunching below. Even the way he walked was robotic, which to say the least would definitely be unsettling to the two marines with them if this was all they would see for several days. Despite the rough terrain, he walked upright, perfectly able to keep his upper-half balanced and steady as he walked, the bags and panel not seeming to give him any trouble. It was unclear what was going through the robot's head, the lights resembling his eyes constantly changing between colors, from blue to red to purple to green back to blue back to green to purple to blue. Just all over the place.

But he did it in silence, and that was the unsettling part. Unlike most machines when they constantly change modes or do something repetitive, they tend to make sounds like gears moving or metal rubbing metal or something, but he didn't.

AMBER held onto Edna, content with the serpentine robot draping over her. While she was just about as quiet, she was much more animated in her walking. She seemed to have a much more "lively" personality than most robots. Her "ears" would seem to move around while she walked, these probably being her antennas so she can hear or contact anyone.

AMBER would seem to snap to as she's called, her ears straightening and her dome turning a shade of red before returning to its normal purple-blue coloration. "Snomia 0B80 has a Sidereal Rotation of thirty-five point eight nine five six, which translates to a Solar Day of thirty-six point zero three nine three. Based on the position of the sun and how far its moved while we've been walking, I'd suggest we're still in the morning hours of the day." She'd stare at him for a moment, probably a bit too long and would make him uncomfortable if he didn't look down at his pad.

She'd look about as he'd seem to jump at something hit him, her vision quickly scanning the surroundings. Every time she would be able to lock onto movement, Cash's flashlight would scare them off, making her need to look elsewhere until one eventually jumps in front of them. She stares at it, studying it as Markevez, Cash, and the Monkey would be eyeing each other. She'd watch it turn and scurry away, watching it for the moment before turning back to Markevez.

"According to the Planetary Database the Foundation collected before the Star of Fortune was authorized to leave port, that creature is a Kijis sindocci, also called a Tree Hugger. It's basically the Snomian version of a monkey from Earth prior to the Battle of Earth. It is believed that they can be disease carriers, though we don't know of many diseases at this time, so it's best to keep your distance."

AMHLR would seem to awake from his quietness for the moment, lightly hitting AMBER. "You talk too much."

EDNA

"I find the speech to be informative." Edna had perhaps been the most quite. Likely still not use to how it's mind was functioning and perhaps not to this level of social interaction and feeling a need to offer a defense even though AMHLR's action could be seen as teasing to those more socially wise.

Contemplation had contributed to the silence it had until this point due to a feeling of failure it couldn't quite place due to the lose of memory on it's part. Some partial residue of events remained in record somewhere - fragmented in some way.

Out of the frying pan, into automatic fire.
George Landwall

Geoffrey was still inside the escape pod, sighing on what to do next he was surprised to see what the terminal began to say. It was an unknown signal in a planet where they thought was inhabited much less have the intelligent life forms to create ships that could both receive and send signals that their escape pods could pick up.

Confused at this Geoffrey slowly turned his head towards the door of the pod.

"Guys." He shouted, "I just caught a dot. I don't think it's friendly or here to save us from the looks of things."

One of the engineers snickered invisibly out of his sight and shouted back at Geoffrey.

"So we're in a planet where each and every one of the escape pods that made it is scattered, what makes you think it's not friendly?"

"The fact that we were just FUCKING ATTACKED WITH OUR SHIP CRASHING!" The other survivor, the one that wasn't an engineer was the only person as paranoid as Geoffrey. Stopping dead on her tracks and out of her own dilemma she marched her way to their pod, bamboozled to the fact that none of the personnel that pushed their way for their own safety, wasn't acting professional.

Adding complaints to the pile the other engineer. The one that had his sunbathing disturbed, finally stepped down from their escape pod and clasped his hands together and took authority over everything.

"Well. Isn't this nice? Looks like both you and our friend are having a little panic attack over what is essentially a minor situation." Geoffrey was only a helmet to the rest of the crew, the ones on the ground and in front of the doors at least. Watching everything from his tiny slit that was blocked by his helmet he witnessed the personnel, and the colonist bicker about their next sets of actions.

After a few more seconds the colonist surrendered her shotgun and deeper into the forest, Geoffrey was met with one of his co-workers and took it upon himself to make defenses while the other one wasn't as afraid as the two and only hid behind the shuttle. As for Geoffrey he took the cowardly part and laid with the dead crew, laying still he took a few breaths and awaited for the next few seconds of what would possibly happen.

If he heard gunfire... He knew how to bury them... Or much more specifically how they would bury him...

Markevez and Co.

After that little debacle with the strange creatures and Markevez expressing his distaste for the planet they were in Cash expressed himself to the Marine Sergeant. "I know that we are making our way to high ground, but what are we going to do once we get there? Figure out where we are at or find other survivors or something?"

"I'm not sure as of now Cash... I think I'll activate the beacon once we're there. We'll get a better signal for local transmissions of other pods. We'll also see if we can finally see where we can head for sure. Hang in there private." Markevez tapped Cash's shoulder and readied his AR-60 to continue their trip. He checked the ammo count at the side of his weapons, still full, he knew it but it was a reflex that had remained from the war. Before Markevez could give the order to move out, AMBER spoke in reference to the creatures that had just pass through.

"According to the Planetary Database the Foundation collected before the Star of Fortune was authorized to leave port, that creature is a Kijis sindocci, also called a Tree Hugger. It's basically the Snomian version of a monkey from Earth prior to the Battle of Earth. It is believed that they can be disease carriers, though we don't know of many diseases at this time, so it's best to keep your distance." The female programmed robot finished her little encyclopedia note, the other blue more bulky robot then broke its silence.

"You talk to much." It said.

Markevez chuckled, setting his rifle aside and preparing for departure. "And you talk too little robot."

Then the smaller, serpentine like robot spoke too. ""I find the speech to be informative."

Markevez looked at the smaller robot with some sympathy, it was weird, with only Cash as the only human around him the robots seemed to fill the bigger void of human interaction, at least he wasn't mad and treating them like actual people, just trying to grasp to some level of humanity. "If we're done here, I'd like to get out of this jungle as soon as possible. Come on." The marine began to walk in direction west as they had been and expected the private and robots to follow him.

A few hours passed and the group made its way out of the jungle, Markevez now using his knife to cut through the last remaining thick branches and pieces of vegetation around him while the others followed him, his feet hurt and so did his entire body, he was sure that was the same for Cash. The group had made it out and the sun shined brightly on the landscape and the sky was grayed from what seemed like fog or very low altitude clouds with some odd greenish tint at times. Markevez was glad to be out of the jungle and in higher ground, as it seemed they were up on a ridge overlooking a wide and beautiful scenery.

As Markevez stood to observe the view, he along his group saw so much green, mountains everywhere and from afar what seemed to be oddly shaped waterfalls. Markevez knelled down and from his backpack brought out the communications and distress relay. He set it on the rocky floor and activated it, the beacon activated a small antenna and a bright light shined from underneath as the antenna began to pick up multiple signals.

"Alright... we're getting somewhere. Cas-" Out of nowhere, something big and loud flew right across the sky, very close to where the group was, it made Markevez flinch and for a second fall to the ground with surprise. After a few seconds Markevez stood up and with his weapon ready moved to see what had just passed by, he checked on his scope and saw as a formation of surface fighters flew across the sky, directed north.

"We've got some serious problems..."

John Cash

The Seargent responded to Cash's question, the Sgt planned on activating the beacon once they got to higher ground, "Aye aye, si-", just as Cash was about to finish, another robot began to speak, it was AMBER, she said that the strange creatures were basically Snomian version of monkeys. John had heard of them before and have seen images of them back in school, but never had seen one in real life. Mostly because those existed before the Battle of Earth, the robot backed that up as well. After a few more hours of hiking, the group finally made it out of the jungle. John was glad that they made it out of the jungle, all of that hiking through thick jungle put a toll on Johns body. His feet were aching and legs were burning, but John wasn't about to complain about it. He just embraced the suck. Once everyone was out of the jungle Sgt. Markevez had placed the beacon down and picked up multiple signals. Sgt. Markevez began to say something but was cut off by something loud flying overhead. It had a jet-engine sound, something way more man-made compared to the more natural sounds of the planet. Sgt. Markevez said, "We've got some serious problems...", that sealed Johns worries about who they were and where they came from. It wasn't from the Star of Fortune, John knew that at least.

John peered through his scope to see surface fighters flying in formation, Enforcers from what he could tell, he has heard a lot about them, mainly from stories of pirates attacking ships. It would make sense it was the RB who had attacked the Star of Fortune anyways. It was their special surface combat vessels and they were capable of a lot of damage. John wondered where they were headed, and what were they carrying. John took a knee and held his rifle across his chest, looking once more through his scope and he was able to make out about two or three Enforcers flying in formation. After all, that was about the average amount of fighters that would ever fly in a formation. John waited patiently for Sgt. Markevez's orders from what to do now.
