So i finally got adjusted. This Saturday i will be busy, but i can contribute at least an hour or two every night, or one big post daily from here on out. Sorry about the wonkyness in posting Jeb, Selks.

No worries. While plans for today have changed, I'm going to stick with what I said earlier and do the next scorination on the 19th, partly because I wanna see what y'all are up to, and partly because I have a bunch of stuff I've been putting off that needs to get done soon anyway.

As noted in the RP thread, I've decided not to do eliminations for the Chase races. The reason being that the times are so close that even one bad lap will entirely screw someone over, and six seems like a good number. Might drop the variance for the next race, though. Having the same spread across the top six as there was across the entire field of 12+ is a little wonky (please forgive me for not noticing until the time of writing. If you guys want me to re-scorinate, just let me know.).

Results posted! I added a poll on when the next one should be held. This has been a fun experience, even with all the tedious data entry. I definitely plan on hosting this event again (unless you all think I should pick a volunteer to host?) in the future, and it's been a good learning experience for me. Thanks for participating!

Thank you very much as well, Jebs, both for the idea and for the excellent hosting - sure, there were some bumps in the road, but we managed to pull through in the end!
As for when NASJAR 2 begins... how about in Decembre, maybe even around Christmas? You can definately count on me, Amy, Raidri, Erblin and Marla for it! ; )
I would also generally propose a longer time, maybe a week, between races and scorinations, giving the participants time for writing longer or even cooperative posts. And we could handwave it ICly as time needed to pack up everything and transport it to the next venue. ; )

It'd need to be Boxing Day, but yeah, I can see that. So far, it seems to be a tie as to when the next one should be.

Can't wait for NASJAR 2 to roll around, i'll probably bring in Arnbjorn, Dakov and Armati since there's development on them and i want to see how they evolve going into the next races, especially with Arnbjorn and Dakov's relationships. Me and Selks talked about a potential issue between our characters, maybe that could come around when during the next NASJAR? Anyways, it was fun and i'm looking forwards to future competitions

No worries, Frozen Forest! Real life comes first, and I know what it's like to suddenly get swamped. Looking forward to the plotting for the NASJAR 2. As to jet racing, I'm not sure if jets specifically are raced IRL (wouldn't at all surprise me. Humans tend to want to race anything with a means of locomotion), but I know air racing is a thing in general.

Regarding the poll, it looks like the majority are wanting that to be sooner, rather than later, so the tentative plan is to open signups on Boxing Day (Dec. 26), with a start date around the 15th. Any thoughts?

I voted "Other" because I believe RP experience should be taken into account, but it shouldn't be that important.

IMO, you should attribute a bonus based on Quality of RP + Results (you decide what's worth more between them), but it should not be big enough to sweep away the newbies from the circuit too early.

I'll take that into consideration, but the main reason for the generous RP bonus is to encourage roleplaying. It's nowhere near as much fun to play an event that has a bunch of people just coasting through watching the numbers as it is when people actually roleplay and participate (hence the rule that only posts related to the event/participants would be eligible for the RP bonus.

As for the placement in the previous event scoring points, the reason is that one would expect a reigning champion to be more skilled than a first-time competitor. I chose the numbers because, while they do make it slightly more likely that they'll be at or near the top of the field, a difference of 3-5 points isn't enough to make it unlikely for newbies to win (I found that it generally takes a difference of about 10-15 points before I was seeing consistently better results.). I'm not opposed to ditching the idea, since it seems to be the majority opinion so far excluding my own vote (largely just so I can see the results immediately instead of having to click view results every time).
