Rex and Ashoka getting shiggy wid it, basically. But it was actually a really cute love story. I remember when I was in middle school and found some on DeviantArt and became enthralled with it. But then there weren't any more chapters and I messaged the author asking about it and he (or she) said they didn't really feel like making any more.

Truly, my heart was broken.

It's not just the subtext tbh. The entire prequels (when the Jedi actually existed shows them as the second most evil faction in the story and it does not do that with any subtlety. . After Palpatine (who's a single faction all by himself, of course)

The clones replied that they simply fought for the Republic by their own choice.

From a business perspective, this is a very good move as this is the only Star Wars thing Disney has pooped out that not only had relatively great sales, but huge support.
I've been a Star Wars fan all of my life. I've grown up on it, I've lived and breathed it. However, because of this I'm not that interested in the show's revival. I've scowered the lore of Star Wars, such as reading the original Thrawn trilogy, watching 2003's Clone Wars show, and much more. However, this show I actually despised. Yes, I'll probably watch it if it's on Netflix, but this is why I don't like it.
--Having dived into the brilliant lore of Star Wars, I became obsessed with the timeline, only to see it become Legends and non-Canonical, being replaced by a much less intriguing storyline (though I must give credit to this show as a good story, it was not as good as the original).
--General Grievous, a personal favourite, was an absolute beast in the original storyline, and the reason the CIS had a chance in the war. In this TV show, he's an absolute pussy, and the reason for the CIS' shortcomings.
--Though hailed as a great character, and is, Ahsoka Tano has ruined much of the Clone Wars. For one, she is an ultimate Mary Sue, she should've been slaughtered in her first encounter with Grievous. Secondly, she ruins Anakin's progression as a character, advancing him from a Padawan, past a Knight, to a Master way faster than any other Jedi.

For Star Wars fans with free time, I highly recommend getting into the original story line (Legends), such as watching 2003's Clone Wars miniseries, which is entirely on YouTube.

Well yeah. A large part of the Prequels was showing how morally bankrupt the Jedi had become. Peacekeepers turning into military generals, building an expendable slave army, taking children away, raising them to be soldiers, never allowing them to see their family or form connections and also making them deny their emotions. Basically become mindless drones.

I doubt it. The two or three arcs they're likely to do are already written and partially storyboarded, holdovers from the original series.
