Nazi Germany, January 7th 1965, It has been a year since the Fuhrer's 75th birthday and the deadly shooting at Tempelhof Airport and the events that transpired in the aftermath of that tragic event. Reichsfuhrer Himmler died of brain cancer, Heydrich died due to an assassination taking place in Winter 1964. The new Reichsfuhrer is a man known as Detlef Schor who is more evil than Himmler. He insists on the SS being both a Police force and a combat wing as well as the nuclear wing of the country. Arming the SS with nuclear bombs. The United States and Germany remain in a cold war due to their past-WWII associations. Pres. Richard Nixon is in his 2nd year in office and is scheduled to meet with the Fuhrer Adolf Hitler on January the 11th, 1965. Richard Nixon is sympathetic to both the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany, inviting peace talks between the two. But the Germans have been reluctant to go off of any peace treaty with the soviets. A bitter guerrilla war continues on in the far east. Soviet mechanized troops with AKMs continue to terrorize German divisions at midnight. Relations however have hit an much lower point than 1964 due to America launching the first man-made satellite in space with a human being inside. The Greater German Reich Space Administration has plans for an moon landing and also if possible, a mars landing to take place within 1965. Scientists have been hard at work, making rockets and trying to get the power to get to mars. Spies have been uncovering the original American rocket parts to assist them. Much more worse is the fact that Germany and America have been testing nuclear weapons with America being in the lead but the Greater German Reich making the biggest nicknamed "Hitler's Fury" which sent shockwaves down to Somalia. German scientists continue to miniaturize the atom as best as they can to make new weapons. One such example is a German version of the Davy Crockett tactical nuclear catapult. Hans Dietrich and his fellow officers (Anna-Katrin) have been promoted and awarded medals for their service. Hans Dietrich continues to be a law enforcement officer within the SS but now has command over 4 nuclear missile silos in the Greater German Reich. Anna-Katrin remarried with an handsome Luftwaffe ace who unfortunately has an oxycodone addiction due to an amputation of his leg. She is in charge of the Violent Crimes Unit and the Sexual Crimes Unit. Journalists from all across the world have been invited to finally see the meeting between the US President and Reichsfuhrer of the Fatherland Adolf Hitler after a brief diplomatic hiatus shut down the previous one and as well see the new "Greater German Reich Atomic Museum" which has the nuclear powered car and the atomic bombs of the Reich. Will you work for the Reich? Will you be a Journalist who uncovers the holocaust? Will you be a ordinary citizen? Will you be a partisan? Welcome to Germany, the choice is yours to influence time as you wish.

Welcome to Fatherland, an RP somewhat based upon the novel by Robert Harris and the movie however there is some differences. The SS isn't responsible for policing everything. It only policies political crimes and acts as a bodyguard service still while having a combat wing. Ordnungspolizei controls the daily police actions. By the way. This is a character RP in Berlin mainly, not a nation RP. In this 2nd edition. The Reich is somewhat more technologically advanced, having miniaturized the atom and possessing a german version of the davy crockett tactical nuclear launcher. As well as nukes and of course, rockets to go to Mars, but they are still under construction.

[b]WEAPONS OF THE GREATER GERMAN REICH:

Sniper Rifles -

Mauser Kar-100

The Mauser Kar-100 is an improved superior Kar-98k, using the fairly new bullpup design. It has a 15 round magazine and standard iron sights similar to the Kar98k. In the later model, a picatinny rail was added for scopes and such. It is used by the Police's counterterrorism team Terrorismus-Sturm-Team as well as the SS and the army.


Assault Rifles -

StG-60

The StG-60 is a improvement of the StG-44 and StG-53 and prototype models, using fully synthetic furniture. It is widely used by the police, and the SS and the army.

Shotguns -

SSG-65

A very new prototype weapon pushed into service by weapon developers. It is called the Sturmschrotflintegewehr which literally stands for "Assault Shotgun Rifle"
and is capable of semi and fully automatic fire. It is in limited use within the army but heavily used by the police, and the SS-Polizei divisions and counterterrorism units.

Submachine Guns -

MP-63

A relatively new submachine gun that is replacing the aging old MP-55 that had numerous flaws. It is used by both the police, army, SS and counterterrorist units.

Pistols -

P-60

A new handgun to replace the aged P-38. This one uses the much newer cartridge known as 40. caliber which gives it more power and kick. This pistol is used universally throughout the Third Reich.

Bio: Johann was the son of Wernher von Braun. He joined the NSDAP at a very young age with him serving in the Hitler Youth as a young boy and earning many sportsmanship badges. Later on after graduating from the Hitler Youth, he'd join the SS in which he would participate in fighting on the Eastern Front where he was wounded but also acted bravely earning a multitude of medals. Following this period of time. He'd apply for a beginning career in the Greater German Reich Space Administration and he slowly begun moving up the ranks. Like his father, he had much interest in rocketry and still does. He has been working with German engineers to try to formally make a rocket that can go to Mars. He is currently in Berlin for a press conference with SS-Command regarding Rocket-mounted ICBMs and also a Moon-Landing conference with Reichsfuhrer der Vaterland Adolf Hitler.
