In the Republik, we would withdraw military forces and critical government elements, as well as a select grouping of civilians back into hastily identified and intensively fortified Safe Zones, which would preferably enjoy the protection of natural obstacles to intruders.

Everybody else would be advised to shelter-in-place, or seek protection in large groups within such fortifications as they could build or locate in the limited time available.

Divided between the Safe Zones and the isolated pockets of refugees, the zombie hordes would find overwhelming us a difficult task, perhaps impossible.

Following the war, it is likely we would give it an interesting name, such as the Diefendorf Plan.

I AM LEGEND is the most unrealistic thing i've ever seen, most of the time there'll be zombies chasign the evacuees, meaning mass panic and your checkpoints being overrun

The royal family and chancellor would first be transported to a secure location. Then the military would be deployed to all heavily populated areas to patrol. We would also attempt to capture a zombie and use it to make a vaccine for the infected. Those in heavily affected areas would be transported to housing camps while the military bombs the crap out of said areas (assuming a vaccine hasn't been made yet, in which point the infected would be rounded up and injected.)

I approve of Federal ammunition. That said, we would immediately deploy military forces to pacify the infected areas. Otherwise, without a properly aggressive, effective and fast reaction, civilisation itself would collapse. This means main battle tanks, mechanised infantry divisions and nuclear bombers.
