REVOLUTION IN CRYGAER
BREAKING NEWS, CRYGAERAN SEPERATISTS CLAIM INDEPENDENCE
As of today, the Vymarian puppet state of Crygaer has declared its independence from The United Socialist States of Vymar. The small island nation of 10 million inhabitants has been under Vymarian control for the past 60 years, although past independence movements have been carried out, none have been as violent as the current situation. As we speak, a raid on the Vymarian F.O.B named Camp Fegelin in the largest of the islands in Crygaer is being carried out by Crygaer militias. Currently, half of the soldiers that previously monitored Crygaer have mutinied and aligned themselves with their fellow native revolutionaries. About 2,000 Vymarian soldiers are spread out throughout the island nation and the current Vymarian appointed mayor of Crygaer has refused to comment on the current situation. Also, just two hours ago, paratroopers and Vymarian mechanized divisions have been mobilized and are headed towards Crygaer as we speak.
CAMP FEGELIN / CRYGAER / 1600 HOURS
Colonel Davids stumbled across the camp as he carried yet another box of .50 caliber ammunition to the HMG positioned at the north of the camp. As he stumbled, the sound of VNR fire, M16s and the random screech of an RPG entering the camp filled his immediate surroundings. The explosion rocked him forward dropping him to his hands and flinging the .50 caliber box to his feet. As Davids scrambled back up to his feet he watched another Vymarian soldier instantly hit the floor grabbing at his neck. The rifle was flung to his side as another medic who was just tending to another soldier's wounds ran over to the newly injured Vymarian infantryman. Davids continued his march over to the HMG, now picking up the pace, nearly sprinting towards the HMG emplacement. "David I need ammo like 5 minutes ago!" screamed the gunner. The HMG barrel was hot to the touch, a given due to the amount of fire it had dumped on enemy positions. Camp Fegelin was positioned on the highest point of the island, making the enemy militia have to push up hill. But the dense forest gave them just enough cover to be able to slowly push up against the Vymarian fortifications. The battle had been going on for the past 12 hours with calms and then hectic spikes in activity. There were about 800 soldiers at Camp Fegelin before the attack. Now, 687 are still in capable of putting up a fight. Davids finished helping the reloading process and the gunner immediately began dumping fire into the woods, kicking up dust and splinters every time his bullets slapped into its surroundings. Davids quickly re-positioned himself into a small opening in the large sandbags that defined the FOBs shape and began to open fire into the woods. What was a few minutes became grueling seconds as the soldiers in the FOB consistently scanned the forests for the glint of a rifle or a tracer round giving away an enemy position.
CITY OF CYCRILLA / CRYGAER / 1700 HOURS
Tyala Rikers tensely gripped his rifle as he crawled up the dark stairway. With every step, the old wooden steps creaked, nearly giving him a heart attack with every whimper of the steps. He picked up the pace : finally arriving into a small room with a boarded up window. As he entered the room he searched for a large trunk he was told would aid him on his mission. He scrambled about the room and finally let out a sigh of relief once he opened the closet. He slid the large black trunk out of the closet and popped its locks, opening it. The inner foam of the trunk seemed to be scooped out and within the trunk was a disassembled RPG-29 and a paper note that read "You only have one rocket. Its the best I could smuggle out of the base, Victory for Crygaer". In a few minutes, Tyala assembled the RPG-29 and attached its warhead, leaving the safety cap on as he got back up and began to rip off the wooden barricades towards the window. As the final board was ripped off, the sound of a Vymarian armored convoy filled the streets. He looked towards the building to his diagonal which housed 4 more militia members that were prepared to attack the convoy along with him. He knelt back down and ripped off the safety cap of his RPG-29 and laid it close to the window. He stood back up, eerily watching the convoy pierce the crowds of the street. He counted off in his head 1... 2... 3... 4... The convoy was a formation of 4 Mamba APCs with a Stryker APC in the back of the armor column. The usual patrol consisted of just 3 or 4 Mamba APCs, but the Stryker was an unexpected addition. As the column got closer he bent down to grab his weapon and waited until the first RPG round was fired. Like clockwork, one RPG was fired in the direction of one of the middle Mambas, shooting fire through the swivel .50 caliber turret, engulfing the gunner before he could react. The 2 Mambas to the front of the column slammed on the gas, trying to escape more possible anti-armor weapons before disembarking to aid in the fight. The rest of the Column started to disembark while the gunners of each vehicle opened fire into the windows of the hostile building. Tyala had found his chance. He quickly rested his RPG into his shoulders and put the Stryker into his sights. He let the sights settle onto the Stryker and then pulled the trigger. The back blast of the weapon kicked up dust and smoke as the warhead slammed into the Stryker as Vymarian troops began to disembark. A quick moment of excitement filled Tyala before his room was filled with Vymarian .50 caliber fire ripping into the air leaving him paralyzed on the floor. He could still hear the firefight continuing outside as he continued lying down in the empty room.

Welcome to the Revolution in Crygaer RP. Some important history you should know about Crygaer is that it has been under Vymarian Control for the past 60 years. Crygaerans have had suppressed rights throughout the Vymarian occupation of the islands, they are not granted any benefits from Vymarian social programs, A vote in the political system, their mayor is appointed by the Vymarian government, are not protected by standard, modern wage and labor laws and are conscripted into the Vymarian Army. However, freedom of speech was not granted to the Crygaerans until the current government granted it as a fundamental right after the Vymarian revolution of 1980. The main revolutionary group, the Democratic Crygaeran Independence Front (DCIF) is currently fighting for an independent state with a capitalist system and a democratic government. The DCIF view the issues with Crygaer to be centralized around government control in the economy, as Nationalized Vymarian industry flooded the island, killing all Crygaer industry and making them fully dependent on Vymar for manufactured goods. If the independent nation of Crygaer succeeds, it must establish foreign investments to rebuild the nation, or it will fall into the hands of another nation and the revolution would have been in vain.
