Why is the rofl emoji the only emoji shown in code in quote?

Hi, it seems the workaround is to insert a line break or space between the starting quote tag and the smiley in question, thus:

Code: Select all
[quote="Someone"] :) [/quote]

and not

Code: Select all
[quote="Someone"]:)[/quote]

to create:

Someone wrote: :)

It may also explain why there is a space between the text and the smiley when you insert it.
