Faster than Light Travel in your Nation?

If you are a FT Nation or round abouts, how does your nation achieve faster than light travel? Is it similar to Star wars' Hyperspace or Similar to Star Trek's Warp? Or (Scarier) Similar to Warhammer 40K's Warp?

Kettroan Voidships or Ethercraft achieve FTL by using a pocket-dimension known as the Void, The Void is the left overs of the Universe before the Big Bang, the Void itself is an Expansive nothingness filled with Invisi-Demons and Insanity, Time,Space,Life,Death, Every Human Concept outside of the Vessel in Transit's Time Bubble does not apply, So if you were to fall in to the Void, you'd just float around, before you'd kill yourself but not die, Vessels using the Void enter by Bending the Space and time around them, causing Inter-dimensional friction, which in turn explodes, pulling the ship through into the Void, the Ship does the reverse to get out of the Void, by either Pulling up or Diving downwards in a violent manner, Void travel is not quick however, Vessels take 5 Days (Void Time, Equivalent to 2 Days Realspace) to transit any small distance.

We use Alcubierre drives for FTL travel, which work by using artificially generated exotic matter to expand spacetime behind the ship and contract spacetime behind the ship, thus creating a "warp bubble" around the spacecraft and allowing the spacecraft to travel faster than light relative to the rest of the universe (although relative to the bubble the vehicle is stationary). Currently, it is possible to travel 1 light-year in approximately 21 days (thus the journey from the Solar System to the Centauri system would take around 3 months), however this technology is rapidly being developed so the travel time could be massively reduced within 20 years.

We are MT/PMT, so we don't have FTL travel, but scientists are experimenting with it.

The liquid energy system used to power airships/advanced aircraft seems to be a potential power source for extremely fast flight, so we may be onto something.

As a Modern Tech and Past Tech nation, TurtleShroom does not have the capacity to travel faster than light. TurtleShroom does have a capacity for spaceflight, however, and frequently launches satellites and Space Billboards. As spaceflight, historically, was an exclusively commercial or exclusivly weaponized process, TurtleShroom never sent a living creature to space, as it was not profitable or neccessary for military purposes.

While other nations have demonstrated that FTL travel is fully possible, their means to do so is beyond top secret and prohibited from spreading to lower-tech nations.

FTL travel is available in Entreum, but is not yet available to the general public. Only on important missions and voyages, Entreum uses FTL travel. We were first exposed to it when we met with the Greys, but eventually we built our own FTL with an Alcubierre warp drive.
Basically a white wakanda, but were also on mars and are catholic... But sort of pagan at the same time? idk it's strange. and we have lots of colonies in space... Also some vaporwave

Our nation and rest of our puppets use FTL drive that is similar to battlestar galactica FTL - Jump drive. It will instantly take you from one part of the space to another by shrinking specific space area in ship's jumping radius into one point. After that by using very complex navigation calculations shipp will navigate itself to the specific part of the point and stop the "point physical effect". These engines are very complex to navigate (jumping without navigation is totally random and dangerous) plus usually it takes some time for the engine's reactor to recharge for another jump (but the calculations take more time then engine's recharge).

If we play future tech, we generate wormholes, shortcuts in space time. This does not actually go faster than light, it shortens distance. Also light can be speeded up or slowed down for communication purposes. Speeding up light allows for faster communication.

What we do is somewhat close to the Warp. The Ships form a small pocket dimension around themselves (spanning no wider than 25 centimeters around any ship), and that pocket dimension is propelled towards the target location in the linear time-space model. This, of course, runs out of energy every -approximately- 604,800 seconds, so the Ship in question is dragged out of the Pocket dimension wherever it is.

The United Socialist States of Vodkaslavia uses the Alcubierre Warp Drive as the standard form of Faster-Than-Light travel, although has enhanced it such that it can cross one parsec in approximately 72 minutes. This is equipped on most crafts excluding pods (escape, cargo, etc.) and utility vehicles (construction bots, drones, etc.). Massive Spacecraft may have the much more advanced but much more expensive AWD, which allows for traversing between Galaxies in a matter of hours.

While owned but very rarely used, Hyperspace Drives are known to Vodkaslavians and have been reversed engineered from neighboring nations. While not reverse engineered, other forms known include Cochrane Warp Drive, Jump Drive, Wormhole Gates, and Starburst Drives.

As our region is FTL-based, we have a list of reasonably acceptable FTL Drives.

We posses the technology of "teleporting" travel, but currently it can only be safely used with certain kinds of specially built robots. It works by transforming the matter into a state capable of traveling to another dimension close to our own, a dimension not subjected to the same rules of time-space as we. Only robots may travel safely because they are specially built with materials of easier and stabler transformation, while organic matter can be teleported, but requires a more slower and more difficult process of transformation and also tends to suffer side-effects in long-distances travel, like being hurled away in high-speed when arriving at the destination.
Nevertheless, even in this crude stage of the technology we already are capable of effective uses. We sent machine probes to survey distant planets, and found one planet with apparent habitability for human colonization, while also finding almost a dozen of planets capable of terraforming some patches of land into habitability, so we could as well already send intelligent machines to begin the work of building terraforming and housing facilities for our eventual arrival. We also are researching a way to turn organic teleportation more stable, and the current paradigm says that this could involve sending the machines to build bases in those planets first, setting the facilities to allow the safe teleportation of individuals one-by-one.

The only way to achieve faster-than-light travel in the R0-0 multiverse cluster is with a tachyonic field of some kind - only a proper one can bypass the relativistic problems expected, while still allowing most of the rest of relativity to function properly in its universe. Unfortunately, the majority of continuums in the cluster - including all known inhabited ones - have tachyonic fields that are so unstable that they make continuous-motion FTL (hyperspace access, warp drives, etc.) impractical, and discontinuous FTL (portals, displacement, etc.) exorbitantly expensive in terms of energy.

Many civilizations have found ways around these issues. Most stellar- and galactic-level civilizations use a stuttering drive based on advanced quantum computing, in which a rudimentary tachyonic field is pulsed decillions of times per second to allow a continuous supply of tachyons needed for FTL travel. However, this requires that nontrivial portions of spacecraft interiors must be devoted to timing and generation arrays; the VCMR, intending to load their vessels more heavily with computational equipment and weapon support infrastructure, do not approve of this method.

Instead, the VCMR take advantage of a particular consequence of reality known as origin bleed.

Origin bleed is the phenomenon by which new information can become embedded in physics, specifically during the process of crossing over between universes, continuums, or other cosmological structures. In brief, information on the properties of chemistry, biology, memetics, and technological development makes small-scale adjustments to new physical regimes, allowing for mutual coexistence of otherwise contradictory properties. While a universe might have a physical law by which every atom is stable, a civilization that introduces enough radioactive material from its own universe eventually finds its own imports decaying "as expected" for them. The Aziphan demonstrate an origin bleed that allows them to affect reality in the way that they perceive it; logical impossibilities and probabilistic uncertainties begin resolving in their favor, as that was what was normal for their ancestors in their metaverse of origin.

The VCMR extract a stable tachyonic field from the otherwise unremarkable Continuum 1 in such massive quantities that origin bleed kicks in and the field remains stable. The process only requires a sufficiently powerful "field tap", a device which can be safely compressed to a relatively tiny scale, to initiate it, before the field collapses when the object loses connection with the field or exits manually. Arguably, though, the larger the object or set of objects passing through FTL, the harder it is to interdict them; the tachyonic field only strengthens for these objects, effectively creating a small-scale version of Continuum 1 around them.

This has notable consequences at all scales. Individual tachyons can be taken from Continuum 1 and fired at arbitrary speeds for communication purposes. An energy link to a zero-point reactor or the like requires only a field tap on the generating end. Superweapons like Erasure-type missiles trigger their field taps an instant before exploding; their energy shells are surrounded by the field they steal, and as their zones of influence expand, the field gets larger and origin bleed ensures its stability even further until the cutoff point is reached and the field is disconnected. Solid vessels of large sizes, like the Sleeper Platforms, are almost impossible to interdict conventionally; they bleed so much that any standard FTLi must attempt to stop what amounts to a miniaturized parallel universe whose laws of physics ensure that a tachyonic field must remain stable.

The disadvantages are notable: field taps with any level of utility must still be macroscopic in scale, and so it is difficult to mount them to weaponry on the smaller end of the kinetic and missile arsenals of the VCMR; additionally, unless they are being transmitted along predesignated routes, nanites and picites (as well as individual particles and information packets) are so incredibly easy to interdict that the outside universe generally does it automatically, rendering long-range FTL scouting with nanites, for example, impossible. Communication with unprepared vessels is accomplished by brute-forcing a path open with a field tap, an action that works only long enough to send a message through.

Interuniversal and interclustral travel usually rely on a more direct access of Continuum 1 that is out of the topic of this discussion.

East Graenia does not have FTL travel, but there is a project in the Department of Space Exploration to attempt experimental FTL through Alcubierre drive.

Currently, there is no FTL travel. Though Carena does possess spacecraft that can reach lightspeed through the Baret Drive (named after it's creator, Gaz Baret, who invented the drive in 2132), it seems likely Carena will never develop spacecraft capable of going any faster. However, the lack of FTL travel has not hindered Carenian colonists. Several nations (some of them even defunct now), including Carena, have sent colony ships to a habitable world on Alpha Centauri which is expected to reach it's destination in 2251, 49 years from present day.

That being said, scientists in CSA (Carena Space Administration) have made several breakthroughs over the last century to the Alcubierre drive, a device which bends space-time around the ship which allows it to travel at insanely fast speeds while not breaking the laws of physics. It is expected to be ready around 2220.

Our nation's government is in possession of several FTL spacecraft bought from an alien race, but we still have no clue how they work. The Gryphonian Alliance is still only borderline postmodern tech/future tech, so understanding superluminal drives is a little beyond the scientific capacities of our nation.

There used to be Fold Drives, then your standard Hyperdrives then something else.

That Something else is the Tannhauser Gate Drives, by the use of our Polydimensional Space Censorship Degradative Reactors we are able to induce two Naked Singularities which will turn into black holes in the process, the room prevents it from literally the singularity for ever expanding as it will cause the very Big Bang itself, thats right; Our Reactors itself are Big Bang Generators but the container it is held suppresses it from ever happening without violating any laws of physics at all. Those 2 newly-formed Black-hole will then have their Schwarzchild Radius or Event Horizons overlap on one another causing a "Hole" In spacetime itself which then will be transferred in front of the ship through the means of Degradative Energy Transfer Modules, this will then form a portal from Point A to Point B, Travel times may vary, This hole can be between Realspace and Subspace, Subspace and Hyperspace, Realspace and Hyperspace, The possibilities are endless; it really depends on what dimension you chose to travel to.

We also have the Algorithmic Image Drive, literally rewrites the laws of physics around the vessel to travel Faster than light without technically breaking any laws of physics, this Image Drive is completely Instant no matter how much you measure, and it has been confirmed that it has limited Inter-Universal Travel but thats just top secret IC.

FTL travel is widely used by the military. FTL is achieved using Null Drives, which utilise Null, a type of exotic particle with strange properties. These drives are the only type used, as Hyperdrives and other types of FTL travel are lethal to the unique biology of the Xaan.

The kingdom uses FTL systems often when trading and military dispatch to non home world areas. most ships that use it are equipped with a Anti-Matter Reactor and two Fusion Reactors. The system works by C=M2/E. We know the ships mass squared and we know energy is much more than needed.

Eotensi FTL travel actually does not move faster than light. Our system of travel is relatively new and has not spread far from the Empire; We use the Imperial Drive, which is a surprisingly small device capable of creating rifts in space that can be harmlessly traveled through. They are especially effective for larger ships, as it can simply drift through the rift after it has been allowed to grow to a substantial size and appear at their destination. Rifts close on their own at extremely fast speeds after the ship has passed through the rift. The longest a ship has remained in a Rift is twelve days, after which the captain got bored of sitting there and continued about her normal duties. No strange activity or extraordinary events were reported during this time.

The Rising Sun Initiative's q-leap is a simple quantum displacement device allowing travel between any two points instantly when a sufficient physical 'medium' is provided in the form of matter. Jumps can either be directed towards a set of predetermined coordinates or a set distance in a specified direction. Maximum jump distance in 2085 is so far it may as well be infinite.

Recently, the discovery of Mandelbrot Space has brought upon the possibility of 'Mandelbrot Travel'. If an anchorway into Mandelbrot Space is set to 'loosen' its constraints it may be possible for a ship to exploit temporal uncertainty to reach its destination within a reduced amount of time though this is over convoluted compared to other methods such as Q-jumps as stated above and standard wormhole travel.
