I don't think they were in color either. I'm pretty sure the Ten Commandments were grayscale. *nod*

"Never be deceived that the rich will permit you to vote away their wealth." - Lucy Parsons
Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy. "Social ownership" may refer to cooperative enterprises, common ownership, state ownership, citizen ownership of equity, or any combination of these. There are many varieties of socialism and there is no single definition encapsulating all of them. They differ in the type of social ownership they advocate, the degree to which they rely on markets or planning, how management is to be organised within productive institutions, and the role of the state in constructing socialism.

Exactly. I also believe Colbert showed us that you can use it to chop tomatoes (or some other vegetable I don't really remember).

It's the size of the darn thing.
It'll take off because Apple made it and it has 'i' at the beginning. In a couple of years everyone'll have one, or one of the rival company tablets that follow. But it's still stupid.

Well it's fast according to Gizmodod, and it comes with up to 64 GB's. But it's still expensive.

For the same price, you could get your hands on an actual computer that outperforms the i-pad.

And? The iPad, the exoPC Slate, the Archos 9, the OLPC v3 and so on aren't normal computers. The fact that a normal computer would be cheaper isn't an argument against them.

Otherwise no-one would buy laptops, when you can get a desktop that outperforms one for the same price.

You'd be hard pressed to find a laptop or netbook with the size, weight, functionality and screensize of the Ipad for any price.
