Cleone and the archbishop watched as they made their speeches, neither could really understand the garbled noise. They stopped talking and finally commenced fighting but the fight had not gone how he had expected. Cleone's excited smile faded as the challenger seemingly handed Frederick his ass, beating him against the stone. For some reason, the challenger paused and foolishly gave a speech instead of killing the king.

"Stronzo!" he yelled at Frederick's direction "You're gonna let this kick your ass around!"

"Calmati Cleone, they know what they'd get themselves into, there's a fifty-fifty chance how this would end." Giovani said trying to settle him down.

"You're right, but the favor is always to those of Chri-" as they were talking to each other they turned back to the fight to see Frederick had gained the upper hand and the challenger laid dead on the ground as his head was cut off and Frederick fell to the ground. "Diavolo!" he sucked his teeth "I missed the best part."

The archbishop just watched and did the sign of the cross as the challenger's head was cut off "Such barbarism!"

Frederick seemed to be barely coherent but he reached his hand over to Freja blindly as he spoke to her "Freja... Freja I'm so sorry for my arrogance and foolishness. I should have spurned the high crown, if I did so I would have been so happy without the weight of the crown and I would have lived to see another day wedded to you." He began to cough violently with some blood escaping his lips. As Frederick was speaking the assembled leaders slowly formed a circle around them deathly silent as a group of green cloaked Brehorn attended to the corpse of Lucius, Cormac looked absolutely broken and was leaning heavily against the king of House O'Devlin. Among the group though a question hung, would Lucius truly be buried within the burial mound of House Schola? It is widely known that the Northmen are terrified of it and already the leader of the Northmen clans was thinking of how he should tell Frederick he will not obey. As for the rest of the attendees of the first part of the coronation they were murmuring wondering about what was holding everything up, it was certainly obvious that Lucius was dead but had Frederick let loose the ghost as well?

A small cough broke the silence as the leader of the Northmen spoke up, he was a venerated elder among the clans and widely respected by all "Good king..." He started trying to think of how to phrase what he was about to say. "The folk of the North shall not obey your commands to bury the heathen on our soil. We refuse to open the cursed tomb, the fortune of my people would turn ill if we did so with the evil spirits released." Letting it sit for a few seconds Frederick nodded his head in understanding with that the elder took his leave followed soon after by all but one of the Grand Dukes, most of the high lords of the realm and the majority of the rest of the powerholders within Camelone. To the multitude it seemed Frederick was in the sight of the reaper but they who left did so out of a display of solidarity with the Northman and more or less signified Frederick's loss of support, the only demographic that did not take a massive hit to their numbers were the knights who understood honor better then their lords. Of the great many who had been there just minutes ago only a handful remained making Frederick smile grimly until he heard a cheer from the remaining knights.

A knight bearing the colors of the North jumped into the circle of the standing stones and raised his sword high "Long live Frederick the Honor-bound! The True King!" echoed by the knights and quickly fell to one knee looking at where Frederick and Freja were "My lord even if the world turns against you my sword shall be yours. Mine and so many more. Do not accept death, enter the tomb and arise as our High King. If not for us do it for the one who kneels beside you, your wife!" The young knight beseeched to the shocked group, and as Frederick took his eyes off the knight he looked up at Freja the resignation fled from his eyes replaced by determination.

"Archbishop commence with the coronation." Frederick said smiling at Freja "Forget my words. I will not part from you, my body may be broken beyond repair but I shall not abandon you today or for as long as you draw breath... I am yours." Frederick forced out. As he spoke the Brehorn approached with green burial cloth and began with his legs, surprising Frederick he let out a hiss barely able to choke down a scream of pain. Archbishop Mainchindt walked over and put a comforting hand on Freja's shoulder gesturing for her to move out of the way so the Brehorn could do their job for Frederick would be tied up in the burial cloth revealing only his face and buried in the center of the burial mound for the night. A small set of dragon boats were brought from around the small lake to form a bridge to the Tomb of the High Kings. Tonight, before the loyal knights the kings and one grand duke, as well as the remaining citizenry on the cliffs, Frederick would undertake the ordeal for the High Kingship, he shall live and he shall bring Camelone to greatness, not only that but he shall not break Freja's heart no after this day he shall do everything in his power to never give her reason to shed a tear in sadness again!
