Diplomatic Program of the Federation of Lillorainen
I would like to welcome all of you to the embassy and consulate program of the Federation of Lillorainen!
In case you have never heard of us – Lillorainen is a single-party Federal Republic consisting of nine constituent republics. We are an island nation and currently have a total population of about 54 million. Our national language is German – however, there are co-official languages in the states, which most commonly include Danish, Swedish, Serbian, Greek, Abyadi (a mix of Arabic and Greek with Germanic and Slavic influences), Finnish, Hungarian and a few more with less prevalence.
Our current Head of State and Head of Government is President Silas Flemming. The parliament is bicameral – there is the Meritocratic Council and the State Chamber. Democratic elections do not exist (yet?); however, there are Civil Offices granting citizens’ possibility to take influence on politics.
What might be important for you to know is that Lillorainen has very lax policies on drugs and guns – meaning you may import any substances and weaponry you wish. Of course, it should be declared though. Diplomatic immunity regulations follow the standards of the U.S.
Lillorainen is open for diplomatic talks of any sort – be it a free trade agreement, a treaty on opening borders, whatsoever. However, we will not go into any military alliance, as we follow a strict neutrality policy.
All embassies will be located in Lillamala, our capital. It is possible to apply for a consulate, which four cities are open for:
- Lysköping: A Scandinavian-style city located right next to Lillamala. It used to be the capital of Lillorainen before Lillamala was constructed.
- Lefkagor: An Oriental city and second-largest city in the state of Terra Bianca. Also, it has the biggest Greek-speaking community in Lillorainen, but Oriental languages are common too.
- Kerkenich: As the former capital of the Rathland, the city located near Pontrath, our largest city, has a long tradition of hosting diplomatic institutions. Also, it has the biggest conference center in Lillorainen.
- Kirajevo: Capital of the state of Serböer and biggest Slavic community in Lillorainen.
