NationStates favorite water-sport except for swimming is here once again to announce sign-ups for the most-famous water-polo event in the multiverse, the return of the heralded Water Polo International Championships, back four its fourth edition of intense competition. Last edition was quiet one, however, we crowned a champion as Darkmania became the first WPIC winner not named either Vekaiyu or West Phoenicia to hoist the title, perhaps on the non-participation of the world hydropolo-ing power in the form of West Phoenicia who will most-likely look to return and recapture the crown after two cycles without the championship in tow. Of course, the next championship could even be you! We're looking for the next holders of the crown, and we thing it would be a loveable thing to watch you hoist the title. The battle for the cup begins!

Please put all OOC/discussion questions and comments in this thread, sign-ups and host bids should be directed to this thread. As water polo is a rather small tournament, we encourage newer nations to bid to host, however, a bit of experience in scorinating and rping on NS Sports is required.

Hello! The WPIC, and IWPF-sanctioned tournament seems to have the problem of usually drawing between 24-30 signups in which only 5-8 will rp in, of course last event had extremely bad scheduling, but please signup if you do intend for the duration of your team's stay in the WPIC for all enjoyment. The Official Prariean Bid for WPIC 5

IC - North Prarie - North Prarie is a large, environmentally stunning nation in the South Pacific. The population of 89 million North Prarieans enjoy sport, culture, political freedoms, safety, and practically everything under the sun. From the lakeside resorts of Cobblestone Lake City to the casinos of Spring Lake, from the mountains on the southern border to the bustling capital of Stonebridge, we promise you that North Prarie is a great place to live, work, and raise a family. The 150-seat Parliament's majority is Social Democrats, and the President is Social Democrat Kay Valieant, who was elected mere months ago.
Water polo isn't prevalent in North Prarie. There is no pro organizations, only leagues set up by gyms, towns, or counties. The most popular spot is the Stonebridge Water Polo Club in the New Rosa district of Stonebridge, who hosts a tournament each year for teams around the country. Riverbay PC is usually the best team there.
However, hosting this water polo tournament will boost the popularity of water polo in North Prarie, not to mention the economies of the cities who host matches.

OOC - North Prarie - The user behind North Prarie has been in NS since July of 2017, with his first nation being the Republic of Valliesta (it CTE'd). However, NP is known throughout TSP, and is a rising star in the NS Sports Community. As for experience, he has hosted the 16-team Prarie Classic Baseball Tournament, which was a huge success for sports in TSP, that made Beepee, among others, get involved in NS Sports. He has been using xkoronate for a while now, and has scorinated international friendly soccer matches a lot. He is going to get the NP sports newswire active *soon*. I am super excited to host the WPIC, and I hope I will meet new friends and learn new things along the way.

Scorinator - I will use the Water Polo setting in xkoronate 0.3.3

1 - Yes. I was a newbie to xkoranate then and was confused - I have figured it out now, and I will use full tables.

2 - Yep. But it will differ on quality, so better RPs will get, say, 0.75.
