"Alert!" Yelled a radioman. "Incoming missile from Low Earth Orbit reported by SATCOM and ONI. Direction and missile track show that it's heading our direction."
The Skipper of the boat ran over, "looks like they'll hit close to those VTOLs that were launched," he stated. "Quickly, get a targeting solution and launch six intercepts."
The missile control station lit up as the operator pinched in the proper information and pushed the launch button. Within seconds, six HAIM-1 flechette ABM missiles blasted out of the VLS Tubes on their way to the lone incoming missile. A notification was also sent out to the VTOLs to brace just in case.

SCENE: Echo 1
Alerts came in from the fleet as they were made aware of the incoming missile threat. Working quickly, the pilots of the three VTOLs switched to hover mode and lowered down as far as they could, then kicked on floats around the base. With any hope, they just helped diminish the ability for any sort of missile to hit them. Thomas was unhappy at this point. Who dares for upon imperial aircraft unprovoked? "Any news on who fired this?" He asked the pilot, who cut the comms after getting the warning from the fleet.
"Negative, sir," he replied. "Before we went to radio blackout, they haven't figured out who owned the assets that were used to fire upon us."
"Alright," Thomas responded. He looked out the door, "What is its current location in regards to their shoreline, from the last survey point?"
"We are roughly a couple miles out, not close enough to swim it," replied one of the other Marines. "This craft is required with inflatables if you wanted to go it via those from here, but we would be paddling the whole distance."

Just behind the mast, behind the rear VLS tubes within the Docking Bay of the submarine was a specifically designed DSRV. Within that vehicle, a group of six Marines were loading in with dive gear preparing to make a night-time incursion on the shoreline.
SCENE:In the Air
The missiles screamed the last few hundred meters towards the EMP missile, aimed directly at its fuselage. Within milliseconds of each other, one warhead exploded a couple meters to the side, one exploded a couple meters to the other side, one exploded below it, one exploded above it, and the last two hit their mark and blew apart the fuselage of the missile, crashing it down into the ocean roughly 2 kilometers away from the Imperial Fleet and more than 5 kilometers away from Echo Flight.
