A new orginastion, the SLU founded by The Republic of Louis Van Boxel Woolf has been formed, nations who value Political Freedom and Civil Rights over economic growth and those who respect their citizen's privacy, and those who atleast have a leftish style of government are welcomed to join.
We have several aims:
Peacefully expand Socialism or Communism.
Mantain an economy.
Only declare war as a last resort.
Corporations are good, but must be allowed to operate with tight regulation.
Allow punishing tax rates for the wealthy.
Treat the wealthy citizens and poorer citizens equally, but bare in mind the wealthy can afford it and the poorer can't, so tax 'em, and only take the occasional bribe... (Ahem).
Abolish all lawsuits!

The Democratic Republic of Buffett and Colbert declines to join this union only because of the terms say that punishing taxrates must be given to the rich and the contradictory terms that say you must make the rich poor with taxrates and then treat every person equally.

I would like to reiterate what nobody seems to understand: Fatatatutti is a democratic nation that happens to have elected a communist/socialist government. We find it amusing and/or annoying that people talk about "communist nations" or "socialist nations". Neither "socialist nations" nor "capitalist nations" are compatible with democracy.

We also have several concerns about your aims:

As suggested above, we believe that the people of each nation have the right and the responsibility to choose their own path. Expansion of Socialism or Communism is no concern of ours as long as the will of the people is fulfilled.

Only declare war as a last resort.

To many nations in NS, a "last resort" might as well be "Tuesday". We do not believe in declaring war as any resort. We will fight only if attacked and we will not allign ourselves with anybody who expects our support in their "last resorts".

Corporations are good, but must be allowed to operate with tight regulation.

We do not agree either that corporations are good or that they must be allowed to operate. We take the more pragmatic approach that corporations exist and that getting rid of them might not be our best option at the present time.

Treat all citizens AND corporations as equals...

We certainly do not treat corporations as equals. They are not allowed to vote or hold public office, for example.

Abolish all lawsuits!

I think I'd like to join as well. Avenio has a 100% income tax, but the government provides for every citizen's whim at a first world level, and has superb levels of political and civil rights and freedoms.

Of late, the international stage has been flooded with capitalism from multiple quarters, from alliances that seek to spread uncontrolled corrupting free markets across the globe, to individual nations that place profit before the rights and freedoms. This isolates the few that believe in the need for a regulated market and high social freedoms, consigning us to the backbench of international politics.

As such, The Republic of Louis Van Boxel Woolf would like to propose an international cooperative of social democracies, so that we may all benefit from the mutual assisistance than a multinational organization offers. The purpose of this alliance is to strengthen the ties between any and all member nations, and to provide unwavering assistance in any form to a fellow social democratic country, no matter the cost, as well as offer humanitarian and peacekeeping services to nations in need.

This alliance is open to all who believe that the economy of a nation must be regulated and that the rights and freedoms of its people are paramount. Finally, all nations that wish to join this alliance are humbly requested to fill out the following form to solidify their their ties to this newest of alliances.

Wait, try this again. You are going to punish the wealthy but treat everyone as equals. How do you reconcile these? Do you treat all citizens equally or do you single out the subset of the wealthy for NON-equal treatment with your 'punishing' tax rates? You can't do both. Since you are punishing people for being successful economically, why would corporations even exist? Who would start them if success is punished under the law? Are you sure you're not just socialist?

It's not my jurisdiction to answer on behalf of the creator of the organization, but I don't see why you couldn't join. The only requirements are good political and civil rights and freedoms, and a regulated economy, so guild socialism fits perfectly.
