There, all in attendance will be treated to a grand feast at the expense of the Qeudkoka of Taimansia.

Information

Welcome to the Grand Feast at Bawe-Arode.

It is the middle ages. The capital city of Taimansia is the largest city in the whole nation by a large margin, holding a total of 800,000 people within its city walls and hugging the side of the White Mountain. Made largely out of marble and granite, the city boasts beautiful vistas and gardens, grand buildings and the Royal Palace of the Qeud To of Taimansia, the Selmruka.

Qeud To in the past have engaged in diplomatic relations with nations on the continent, but Qeud Raladev of Taimansia wishes to extend the diplomacy out to all nations of the extended world and universe with the capability to travel to Taimansia to a feast in the name of showing off the so-called Jewel of Taimansia off to the rest of the world, engage in closer relations, trade agreements and dialogue and to generally make friends in the international community.

Any members of royal or influential houses with an interest in diplomatic relations, or any interest in dialogue, with Taimansia are invited to attend. Please RSVP below, and we would be happy to see you there.

I suppose now would be a good time to outline the rules:

  1. This feast is set in the 800s C.E. I may allow guests from civilisations a little later, and any guests from earlier, but all civilisations must be PT and pre-gunpowder.
  2. No godmodding, metagaming or otherwise RP cheating. This is supposed to be a peaceful RP, but I'd imagine intense debates and discussions will still occur, and as such, act with the knowledge you have and let other people have their own characters and secrets.
  3. As I said before, keep it peaceful. This is not a war or conflict RP, simply a meeting of diplomatically-inclined people.
  4. IC in the IC, OOC in the OOC.
  5. Within the confines of this particular Grand Feast, the 'common speech', which is basically English OOC, can be used instead of using translators if wanted.
  6. Avoid one-liners and other short posts.
  7. I am OP, my word is law.
  8. If there are any rules you think should be added, please post below.
  9. The IC shall be up once a decent number of guests are present.

No, it is based on a different world entirely. However, for the purposes of the roleplay, I am thinking of having the nation be accessible by nations on all worlds.

Technology Level of Nation:
    The Selkie boast, that they were born for the saddle and the quality of their mounts is certainly a testament to these words. Over the last centuries, the horse became more widely spread, the people learning how to differ between different breeds for both war and economy, breeding them as well. Selkie-Warriors, called Marcach, armed with their composite bows and armoured in their typical Half-Cuirasses, would teach their opponents the meaning of fear for centuries to come, both when defending their homelands and when working as mercenaries.
    Breeding techniques are slowly being adapted to cattle and other livestock.
    While the Selkie of those times were not as advanced as other powers and cultures of the time when it came to metalworking, they made up for it by excellent craftsmen, their jewelry being a sight to behold and the armour piercing arrows being very deadly weapons. Also, the Selkie of those times did neither build castles (in the European sense, of course they fortified positions) nor structures approaching Early Medieval Cathedrals in size and splendor, both their fortifications, temples and houses being simple structures.
    Where the Selkie excelled, though, was not only horseback, but also on 'shipback', so to speak, mastering sailing away from their shores and following the stars at least a century ago.

I'm not OP so my word means nothing, but perhaps you could say you 'believe in magic' but your magic is just as of yet undiscovered scientific phenomenon or some such thing, especially if its medicinal. This is the ninth century after all. Our own Paragon Xroj is an expy of Doctor Fate, but he's only ever actually magical when its appropriate. At all other times he's just a priest.

By minor, I was kind of meaning stuff that a cynical person could dismiss as "tricks". Clicking fingers and making fire, for example, would be kind of the thing that could well be magic, but could also be trickery.
By all means, I can accept someone with red skin, but could I request something less major on the "flaming head" stuff?

EDIT: If it would not break your RP'ing too much, U&L Egypt's suggestion is also acceptable, but that does depend on how much you feel you will need magic for the RP, given that violence, whether magical or not, is out of the question.

I see no issue with Ir'a's app. ACCEPTED!

Note that Taimansi people have much less of an issue with 'demons'. The most you will be seen as is a bit of a heretic, but that is only by the highly religious, of which there are few attending.
This nation encompasses all techs from PT to PMT and FanT.

The Egyptian People are acutely aware of demons, and although your character as a visage reminiscent of Khnum, they'll more thank likely be repulsed him, assuming he's a servant of Apep or Set.
