On a certain world, on a certain continent, in a certain region, on a certain peninsula can be found a certain kingdom. The Kingdom of Ayrith. Founded on the Ayrithian Peninsula, on the Plains of Ayrith, the Kingdom of Ayrith may be small, but it is among the most important nation on this certain world. But its importance didn’t come from trade, military might, or the normal measures of a nation's success. It was important because, it was one of the few human nations that existed across this certain world.
Why were there only a few human nations across this entire world? Well, that would because of the monstrous creatures and other blood thirsty beings that humanity shared this world with. Beasts of all shapes and sizes wander the wilderness of the world, and have over thousands of years, driving humanity to the brink of extinction. Humanity only exists in small pockets around the world, and the largest of these pockets is the Kingdom of Ayrith.
Among these beasts, a few creatures carry far more fear in human hearts than others. Chief among these are the Dragons. Why the Dragons are more feared than all other beasts is due to three specific factors. One, Dragons are the most powerful beings on the face of this world. The weakest among the Dragons can easily overwhelm a division of trained men, but the weakest of the Dragons are few, as most Dragons are capable of destroying entire villages. The second factor is that they are massive compared to most other beasts, and usually have a temper to match their size. The smallest of Dragons are more than capable of eating a man whole, and the largest are known to be able to cause massive destruction by just flying by. And third, possibly the most frightening part of Dragons is their intelligence and sentience.
Even among though humans fear the Dragons, they also have a certain level of respect for them. Many surviving humans across the world see the Dragons as great spiritual beings, much like gods. However, there are nine Dragons that are known to man as the Dragon Gods. Humanity fears and respects them much more than other Dragons, as these are the largest, most powerful, most ancient and most intelligent of the Dragons. Humanity, especially within the Kingdom of Ayrith believe that worshipping the Nine Dragon Gods will keep them from their borders. Be that through prayer or sacrifice.
But of course, this does not keep the lesser Dragons from their borders. However, the Kingdom of Ayrith has a way of defending itself from the lesser Dragons. The Nine Keeps. Each of the Keeps has a magic stone deep within its walls, known as the Guardian Stones. Using these Guardian Stones, the Nine Keeps create a wall of magic that surrounds the kingdom, a wall of magic which naturally repels lesser Dragons. That said, the magic does not repel other beasts, nor does it protect the Keeps from any attacking Dragon. But this does not mean Dragons can easily break the magic wall. Each of the Keeps is built to withstand the attack of lesser Dragons, with powerful weapons powered by the magic of the Guardian Stones designed to repel or even kill lesser Dragons. But this is not the only protection provided to the Keeps. Much like other pockets of surviving humans, there are certain humans who are born with the power required to slay Dragons. These natural born Dragonslayers are known as the Dragon-Kin.
What makes the Dragon-Kin different from other humans is not their body, but the fact that they have both the soul of a human, and the soul of a Dragon. Because of this, they have naturally superior physical capabilities, superior senses, and the ability to harness the power of the Dragon whose soul they house. For example, if the Dragon-Kin had the soul of a fire Dragon, they would be able to create and harness fire, while also being immune to fire and heat. Each of the Dragon-Kin is also able to communicate with the soul of the Dragon they house, thus giving them The Dragon-Kin born within the Kingdom of Ayrith are found at a young age, and brought to the capital, to the Royal Dragonslaying Academy, to be taught how to use their abilities and how to fight the beasts of the world. Once graduating from the Royal Dragonslayer Academy, they are sent either to the Nine Keeps, one of the villages, or in the capital.
Despite being the greatest monster slayers in the kingdom, the Dragon-Kin are viewed with a mix of fear, and distrust. This fear and distrust comes from the fact that many humans view the Dragon-Kin as abominations. But despite all the verbal abuse and general hostility that humanity shows the Dragon-Kin, many of the Dragon-Kin continue to fight for them. The reason for this being the soul of the Dragons that they carry. The Dragon souls that are part of them are souls that belonged to a faction of Dragons that gave their lives to prevent the total extinction of humanity, and even in death they have sworn to defend humanity.
But this is not the end of the protection available to the Kingdom of Aryith, there is also the military which plays an active role in fighting against all manners of beasts. Another group that offers protection are the Royal Slayers, an elite group of warriors, trained like the Dragon-Kin to slay almost every beast known to the kingdom. There is also a third source of protection for the kingdom, prophecy. Unlike the other pockets of humanity that remain, the Kingdom of Aryith have an oracle. There is always one Oracle within the kingdom at one time. Whenever one Oracle reaches the end of their life, the Oracle gets a vision of the next Oracle, and the next Oracle is brought to the capital, after being separated from their family.
The year is 1498 after the founding of the Kingdom of Aryith, and the Oracle has had a most frightful vision. A vision that has been interrupted as the coming fall of the Kingdom of Aryith by the claws of the Dragon Gods. As such, the current King of Aryith has summoned the greatest Dragon-Kin from across the Kingdom, to set out on an impossible quest. They are to find and slay the Dragon Gods, to protect the Kingdom. If they fail, the Kingdom will burn, but if they do the impossible, and succeed, than humanity will need not to live in fear of the Dragon Gods, and the kingdom will be saved.
Welcome to the Kingdom of Ayrith, the setting for my newest RP. Now, those who know me might notice something strange about this RP, the apparent lack of lore. Well, this is because this world is full of mysteries that are still to be explored. And as such, a large portion of the lore is going to be kept secret until the time comes to reveal it. Though, I can say now, expect all manners of mythical beasts, and fantasy races. Weaknesses of those you may fight against will be revealed when the creature is revealed, most of the time. Some beings may not have known weaknesses, but any weaknesses that they have will be hinted at during encounters.
While there is not much more for me to say, except for explaining some parts of the app. Mainly three parts. The first part I should explain is what I mean by the Dragon Soul’s Name is the name of the Dragon whose soul is housed within your character. Second, what I mean by Type of Dragon Soul. By that I mean the type of Dragon that the soul belonged to. Be it a Fire, Ice or whatever Dragon. The only limit on the types of Dragons would be no conceptual types, and some physical stuff will be denied. If you think your idea will be denied, ask and I will give you my thoughts. And the final part of the app I should explain is what I mean by Abilities and Skills. Abilities are what the Dragon souls grant them, and Skills are skills they gained through training, and must be something achievable by normal humans.

3. No character limit for now (minimum one character though, recommended being three)
4. Your character is not immortal, nor invulnerable, nor should they be OP
