Goyang, DPRK
Despite victories of the Korean state at the beginning, the DPRK has assigned a tactical retreat to not waste its elite troops on worthless American imperialists. Under the command of disorganised set of officers, DPRK troops have retreated to Goyang for logistical redeployment to the front and also organisation of the troops. Any combat will be avoided and tactical retreat will be issued against possible attackers. In Pyongyang, newly deployed infantry divisions are placed in the capital for its inevitable defense.

Chairman Chen Yun has given orders to send in 250,000 Chinese divisions to the 38th Parallel. The People's Republic of China has given the UN fair warning against crossing it and even threatened China if they got involved. These Chinese divisions will hold back the UN troops, and if necessary, will push past the 38th Parallel to keep the foreign forces out of Asia.

"Too long have I let these western nations mettle in Asian affaires! It is time for the Chinese Dragon to let out its fiery breath against the capitalist dogs!" - Chairman Chen Yun 1950

The People's Republic of China has officially joined the Korean War to help the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Chairman Chen Yun has ordered an additional 150,000 divisions to the 38th parallel to be set in defensive positions to ensure that UN troops cannot cross their lines. Along with these additional troops (total Chinese troops guarding the parallel would be 400,000) they will be sending in 100 SU-76, 100 BA-64, 25 BTR-40, and 50 T-34S to give armor to the line. The People's Republic of China will also be stationing artillery and mortars along the line incase of mass assault. (152 mm howitzer-gun M1937 (ML-20), 122 mm gun M1931/37 (A-19), 85 mm air defense gun M1939 (52-K), 100 mm air defense gun KS-19, 100 mm field gun M1944 (BS-3), 45 mm anti-tank gun M1942 (M-42), 37 mm automatic air defense gun M1939 (61-K), 57 mm anti-tank gun M1943 (ZiS-2), 82-BM-41, and 120-PM-43 mortars).

38th Parallel, Republic of Korea
No one dared to venture to recover the dead. Chinese snipers had the area covered. American and Australian snipers also had the Chinese in their crosshairs as they watched them set up defensive postions. No one had orders to fire at each other. Commonwealth troops from Liberia and Puerto Rico were expected to arrive at the border with weapons and supplies. The situation was red hot. Allegedly some CIA spooks were there watching the situation. Any moment someone could open fire.

The War Room, Seoul, Republic of Korea
The generals were bent over maps. The Chinese were setting up defensive postions. Fortunately for the UN they could easily be broken up with air strikes, artillery and troops. A call came through from Central Command.

"War with China is a possibility. Get todefensive positions and be ready to issue a general alert to all troops. Stand your ground and don't let them push you out!"

Chairman Chen Yun has given his troops on the 38th Parallel strict orders that they are only to fire if they are fired upon first. If any UN troops are caught trying to cross the 38th Parallel they are to be "peacefully" brought back to South Korean territory. Any actions of unprovoked aggression towards any UN member will be treated as treason to the People's Republic of China, and depending on the severity of the aggression, they will be executed. The minimum punishment for unprovoked aggression is five days in a cell without food.

Near the 38th parallel,Republic of Korea
Corporal Ruiz of the 5th Artillery Commonwealth Division was very busy today. He and five others were maintaining artillery canons at the border. They were locked and loaded just in case the Chinese attacked. So far all was quiet. Suddenly, he smelled smoke and he saw what was causing it, the canon was smoking. He knew this meant trouble. He saw a spark.

"Duck and cover. She's going to blow!"

The canon discharged the rounds, a misfire. When the smoke cleared he saw where the artillery was heading to, the Chinese.

The rounds exploded onto the Chinese positions. For a few minutes it was dead quiet. Suddenly, gunfire erupted. A call came over the radio

"What happened Ruiz?"

He grabbed the radio

"Misfire. The canon discharged three rounds because of a faulty lever sir! We are being fired upon. Send air support!"

Marines began returning fire. They were ordered to stand their ground. Suddenly, the Communists charged the Marines. Machine gun fire cut many of them down but, they were stubborn. Rounds whistled through the air and grenades exploded. It rapidly descended into chaos when the first line of defense was breached.
Ruiz screamed into the radio

"Command we are about to be overrun! Send what you have. Coordinates 10 Oscar Papa Bravo, 3 Zulu, Delta..."

A shot to the head killed Ruiz. A minute later, bombers arrived and decimated the Chinese troops. They retreated but the men knew they would be back later.

An hour later, a division of Australian and Italian troops arrived on scene. No sooner did they arrive the Chinese Communists attacked again. This time it rapidly became a stalemate. As the sun set it became apparent that no one was going to give up. Even as it began to rain, neither side was giving up. Not without a bloody fight.

Chairmen Chen Yun released his commends on the incident on the 38th Parallel.

"This is a gross misuse of a human life. This misfire has already caused so much death in a matter of hours! The recklessness of these Capitalist dogs is almost sickening."

He has also approved 50,000 more troops to be sent to the parallel to ensure its security.

Unknown Location in Korea
The two Koreans put aside their headsets and shut off the radio. That was enough fun for one night. They grabbed their rifles and crept out of the now abandoned hut. They jumped in their trucks and went their ways. They had to be careful as just looking an enemy in the eyes was enough to get a bullet in the head.

38th Parallel,Republic of Korea
More troops arrived at the border. The 5th Engineering dug miles of trenches. The UN dug in and ordered artillery at the border. Snipers saw that the Chinese were digging in. Both were itching for a fight. In the meantime, the Americans were enjoying Thanksgiving. Each battalion was given a turkey, stuffing, bread, cranberries and a pie of their liking. The Americans shared their meal with the Italians and the Liberians, who had never even heard of Thanksgiving before. The UN troops ate and drank under the watchful gaze of the Chinese.

The trenches are quiet, the only sounds that can be heard are those of the Allied troops enjoying their thanksgiving dinner. The sky is dark with light cloud cover. The Chinese and Korean troops can hear the Americans laughing and drinking together while they had to eat dried rations. There is a light hum on the radio before Chinese voices command the troops to get into offensive positions.

Artillery crews start to load shells into their cannons, not needing to adjust the aim since they were already aimed at strategically placed positions. The troops in the trenches stay low, not to alert the Allies to them while they get into position, ready to charge at any moment. They all sit wait in anticipation.

A few moment later, the Allies still not aware of what was going on just across the border. The humming of jets and bomber can be heard over head, before the Allies can even react the Chinese and Koreans about out "LONG LIVE THE ANCIENT DRAGON!".

Artillery begins to unload everything they have on the ground troops while waves of Russian aircraft with Chinese markings drop bombs and try to hold air superiority. Chinese divisions man the anti air guns as allied aircraft come to help the group divisions, dog fights begin in the air while the Allies ground forces get decimated by artillery and bomb shells. After the shelling stopped the communist troops charge I to the Allied trenches, killing what troops had hid from the shelling.

In the air there are heavy losses on both sides, with the Allies seeming to have an advantage although their numbers are slimming from all the anti aircraft fire. While the air battle continues the communist division rush towards Seoul, eager to show their dominance.

Chairman Chen Yun has ordered 250,000 more divisions to help In the Korean War (bringing my troop count to about 750,000).

38th Parallel,Republic of Korea
As the troops were eating and drinking they heard shrieks in the sky, aircraft. The artillery divisions scrambled to their positions. Pvt. Ortiz glanced upwards, Russian planes with Chinese markings. He aimed the artillery gun up and fired. The shell exploded in front of it,damaging it. He fired again and watched as it descended and crashed. He looked up again to see a horrifying site, paratroopers. He aimed and fired at them. He saw some of the men die in mid air. Some he saw get shredded by shrapnel and still survive. Thank God he wasn't one of them.

By late evening the UN briefly retreated to a small town near the border but they held their ground. The Chinese were good fighters but, there was too many of them where there was some confusion within the ranks. The UN was able to hold the lines with ambush style counterattacks. They predicted they could hold the town for three days until reinforcements arrived. Air support was expected to arrive but they would have to do without. Artillery teams were able to slow down the Chinese planes.

Somewhere near the Korean-Chinese border
Bowman knocked on the door to the hut. A woman said something in Korean and let him in. What appeared to be a hut on the outside was an intelligence dump. The local informants were busy pouring gasoline everwhere and setting C4 explosives. Word came out that the Chinese might suspect the place to be a place where traitors came to talk. Some C4 and fire might solve that problem.

Bowman walked over to the woman, his wife, and kissed her
You have no idea how much it hurts being away from you.
He said to her as they inspected the place and gathered up papers to use as tinder. It was all old intel anyway. The CIA knew all their weaknesses. Too big of an army, lots of confusion and mistrust could easily be sewn especially with the Caviar Communist generals.

After the place was cleared out a truck with five Chinese agents showed up. They were faced with quite the surprise that they were in literal pieces. This was the beginning of something else.

Just outside of Seoul, Republic of Korea
Sgt. Cassidy looked to the horizon. Chinese troops were getting mighty close to the city outskirts. The residents and the UN were putting up a great resistance but, they would fall if help didn't come. The Chinese Communists were about to receive multiple presents from the sky. He grabbed the radio

Delta 5, Reds are near Home. I call Broken Arrow Priority One. Authenticate CAS 7A

A voice responded

Copy CAS, danger close

Suddenly bombers and attack planes screamed into the area and dropped their loads on the Reds. A mixture of napalm and shells rained down on the troops. A second wave came in and decimated their headquarters near the 38th. A third wave incinerated military targets just outside of Pyongyang. The final wave was put on hold just in case something happened.

Seoul was liberated by sunset. The Communists were in full retreat. Many of them were cut down by Korean Volunteers in the small villages and the UN at their backs. The Communists halted at the 38th parallel and were shelled throughout the night. It was unknown if any would still be alive the next morning. The UN, Korean army and Korean Volunteers armed themselves for a counterattack the next day. If the Reds wanted a fight they were getting one.

The surviving Chinese troops take shelter in reinforced bunkers to protect themselves from the shelling. Reinforcements are on the way to help them but for now all they can do it hold the line as best they can. Russian and Chinese tanks begin to roll towards the 38th in defensive positions. The Chinese have realized they cannot push into Korea without the help from the Soviets. Chairman Chen Yun will be communicated with Joseph Stalin when he is able to answer. While the Chinese have been pushed back, they will not stay down for long...the Ancient Chinese Dragon will hold its ground.

38th parallel

It had been almost a month. Very little action at the 38th. The Chinese troops were crippled and dug in. They were constantly harassed by artillery fire. The UN was harassed by the occasional charge but they were driven off. There was talk of a treaty. This war was going nowhere. It had stalemated within a year. Pvt Harris continued to watch the Reds through his sniper scope. They were all young men. They all looked tired and morally defeated. Chinese propaganda said they were strong and ready. Strong looked exhausted and scared. Ready looked defeated. The generals looked angry and exhausted. They knew Beijing had left them just like how DC had all but forgotten the UN. It's amazing how men could do so much destruction upon each other.

38th parallel
The CBS correspondent wrapped up his work. He happened to glance over at the Chinese and Korean Communists. One young soldier shook his head and made the "I'm watching you" motion, his finger on the trigger. A UN soldier did the same thing back at the Chinese soldier before he escorted the corredpondent out of the hot zone and back to the safe zone. Engineers were observing the border and how to fortify it. At around noon the normal volley of shots rang out from one side followed by a barrage of return fire. No one really cared anymore, even the Soviets were starting to tire of it. Both sides hoped for peace to come.
