Lanoraie's main power source varies from region to region--in the mountains it is often geothermal, or hydroelectric, while on the eastern hills it may be wind. It's mainly solar powered in the big cities, with power sent from wind farms in the east as well. Currently, power sourced from garbage is being tested with positive (and healthy!) results. Every house has solar panels on the roof but most people also dip into the other resources. Ways to store power generated by solar panels has been around for about 60 years now, and with technology being allowed to advance to make power consumption lower and lower for everyone, soon dam workers and windmill caretakers may be out of business.

On Earth, we use everything from oil to the energy generated by earthquakes. We prefer to use renewables for electricity there so that we can turn that planet's oil into Energon and drink it ourselves.

On Cybertron, we use the souls of unbelievers (that is, those who do not follow Megatronism) and enemy combatants that we have killed in our conquests. They refused to serve us in life, so now, we make them serve us - as esoteric energy generators.

On other planets, we tend to use solar power, though we will use wind, geothermal, and geologic activity if they are present in good amounts.
