Guerrilla Warfare in Eisenven (IC, go to OOC to sign up)

[Eisenven]

Five years ago, the country of Eisenven fell into anarchy, due to the corrupt and insane monarch. His insane taxation policies leading to millions starving, and thousands more worked to death in the mines and factories. Eventually society broke down, with the incompetent, and comparably small military unable to secure the vast territories of Eisenven, they retreated to the capital "Stadtung" the only industrialized city on the land mass. Looting and mass violence soon followed, until eventually society reorganized itself with various self sufficient communities, villages, and homesteads making up the survivors.

The Emperors forces soon slowly began reincorporating these independent farmsteads back into the Empire, but with the horrors of his previous policies still fresh in their minds, most rebelled. With the power vacuum left over from the Eisevenian militarizes withdrawal from most of the country, two paramilitary forces have arisen, "The fascist Einheit Brigade, and the communist Volker Army" both with the the goal of taking Eisenven for themselves. While the Empire has begun a crusade to reclaim its lost lands.

It is currently early summer, the snow in the north has mostly melted away, and the forests are nice and temperate, and so has begun the summer offensive. Volker partisans have inserted themselves into Einheit territory, but have made little progress, lacking the raw fire power that the fascists can bring to the table, they have been sticking to harassing their strongholds, and destroying any roads, and convoys.

The Imperials have had much better luck, a army of nearly 10 thousands have crossed Imperial territory from Stadtung, into the Einheit Brigades territory, they completely smashed through the first five fortified villages they encountered with their tank columns. But are starting to run out of fuel for their tanks, and so the advance has halted for now. They wait to get more fuel, either through trade, or aid.

The Imperial offensive

The Einheit Brigade continues to try and hold the line, and have begun sending troops from their border with the Volker Army southward to try to stem the imperial advance, unaware that the imperials are unable to continue forward. On the western border, with the few men not sent southward the Brigade has established several "death squads" men on horseback hunting down the Volker Partians, but has had little luck thus far.

9:45 - 15 Mikes (Minutes) until landing

Field Marshall Rudolf Von Richthofen, the commanding officer of the 29th Jäger division, watched the shoreline of landing point A from the side of the amphibious assault ship. Meanwhile, the soldiers were prepping their gear and loading onto the landing craft. The force, almost 20,000 men, would separate into two parts. 10,000 would be the initial landing force, landing on the beach, bringing supplies for Einheit, and securing the Northern half of Eisenven, While the other half would wait offshore, accompanied by the 3rd Fleet.

10:05 - Von Richthofen's landing craft

Von Richthofen had always led his men from the front, and would thus land in the first wave, despite being a field marshall. He heard the right light command called throughout his boat, 30 seconds. They reached the beach and the ramp dropped. The Jägers rushed to secure the beach, meeting no resistance as they were in friendly territory, and marched inland to the Einheit Brigade's HQ, bringing them weapons, armor, and ammo, singing the song of the Jägers as they marched. The port town was rudimentary, with a crude and hastily built dock, barely good enough for the Reikinian ships to land, but it held strong. Surrounding the port lyed a cobblestone wall, with a series of trenches dug both outside and inside the walls. The town itself was very old, and pre industrial. Most buildings were made out of Cob, with thatched roofs.

Von Richthofen approached the General, shaking his hand and offering him a ceremonial sword, a Reikinian symbol of military alliance. Von Richthofen motioned to his men, and the crates full of RKN-20 Assault Rifles were brought.

"Your aid is most appreciated, Field Marshal, as is this gift. Though my apologies, i do not have something suitable to return in kind... Shall we go to my tent? i can brief you there, and we can talk of strategy."

"Lead the way." Von Richthofen said, in perfect English with a slight touch of Upper class Bavarian

The landing craft rocked gently on the calm sea as Field Marshal Fearghal mac Anzo stood at crisp military rest out of habit, when the craft rocked he seemed to stay stock still with a stoic face. He had spent the majority of his life in the service of the Crown and Camelone being no stranger to war or anti-insurgency tactics, he was well renowned for his courage, prowess, and honor and much loved by the men under his command. Speaking of his forces he had them stay out of the port after seeing that the Reikin forces beat them here and not waiting to cluster the port he decided that a single landing craft was all that was needed to begin to form a strategy with the Brigade and his other allies. Unlike his guard he wore a dress uniform of Prussian blue and a bright sash of orange around his waist, a white and black cockade was pinned to his chest declaring his loyalty to the Crown and Church, an arming sword hung from his hip. As they reached the dock Fearghal gracefully disembarked without breaking stride, he made his way over to where General Schafer was located with his guards close behind.

Before the general he clicked his heels together and shout his arm straight out in a Roman salute "Hail glory. General Schafer I am Field Marshal Fearghal mac Anzo of the Camelonean Eisenven Volunteer Expedition, it is a great pleasure to make your acquaintance." He had a heavy Celtic accent but was understandable. "My forces are just outside the port. I look forward to fighting alongside you and your men."

Arick approached Fearghal mac Anzo, and quickly replied with a Roman salute of his own. "Hail victory, Field Marshal Fearghal mac Anzo!" he yelled with a thick Norwegian accent. Arick quickly went up and shacked Anzo's hand. "It is always good to have allies in these desperate times, we shall not forgot your aid!"

"Shall we head to my command tent? me and Field Marshal Rudolf Von Richthofen were just about to leave"

"Certainly General Schafer, it is the least we can do to aid such a noble cause. I thank God Almighty that we discovered the insane Emperor's crimes against the people before we threw our support behind him and we will never allow your people to endure the horrors of Communism. We have much to discuss to restore your nation to the glory it deserves, you will have the friendship of Camelone for a long time." Fearghal explained with his stoic face still in place, though a friendly tone was able to be heard easily.

Arick smiled at Fergahls offer of friendship, it had been a truly desperate situation before the armies of Reikin and Camelone arrived, and Arick was convinced that with their help, he could finally end this war.

"You are true heroes to come to our aid, i do what i can to free my people from the clutches of the degenerate Emperor and the communist savages. If we get through this alive, Eisenven will pay back this help ten fold, as honor demands. Now come, let us go to my command tent so that we way discuss strategy"

The General motioned for the two Field Marshals to follow him, and started walking down the street with Richthofen and Fearghal, dismissing his honor guard to continue building up defenses. As they walked they passed several cages where dead men could be seen inside, they wore old medieval tunics, and a single piece of paper tied around their necks reading "This is your reward for banditry" in the background, the local military band was playing a Einheit revolutionary song to keep morale up. Two guards stood at the front of the tent, Arick nodded and they quickly opened it up for the three commanders to enter. Inside was a large round table with 12 chairs around it, a projector already showing a map of Eisenven, and a table with cups of coffee, and wheat bagels. Arick quickly motioned for the Field Marshal's to take a seat, grabbing plate's of coffee and bagels and placing them in front of them both with almost superhuman speed.

He quickly got to the front of the room, and pointed to Landing point "A" on the map

"We are here, in the port town of Siben." Arick said in a stern and professional voice

"It is my advice, that we travel southwards to crush the Imperial Army attacking my troops, and then make a quick assault on the Stadtung itself. If we can take the city, and kill the degenerate Emperor and his Generals, Intel suggests that the Imperial Army will crumble. Most Imperials are only fighting to feed themselves and their families, if what my spies tell me is true. They may surrender if their leadership is destroyed and main base is taken"

"Of course i have no authority to order you, or your men, and you may take any course of action you think is best. Do you think that this is the best course of action Field Marshal's?"

Field Marshal Michael Weber stood on the command ship of the Andsedian fleet that was transporting the men to Eisenven to assist the Einheit Brigade. It seems that two other nations had already arrived and one of them had docked. Seeing this he ordered a landing craft to be prepared and he and two guards would go ashore.

As they landed he walked to where he saw General Schafer of the Einheit Brigade and two other men enter a tent and guards blocking the entrance to the tent. He approached the guards and said.

"Hello I am Field Marshal Michael Weber of the Andsedian military. We have come to assist you in your struggle. May I speak to general Schafer?

[Eisenven]

Arick quickly greeted Field Marshal Michael Weber "This is a pleasant surprise Field Marshal Michael Weber, my apologies for not greeting you on the docks, i was not aware that you all would come at the same time!" the General laughs, and shakes Weber's hand.

"Please come in and have a seat, i can debrief you inside." and with that Schafer repeated what he had just said to Richthofen, and Fearghal to his new guest...

Michael entered the tent and took a seat and considered the plan that been purposed. It made sense they could beat the Imperial army and push into Stadtung but that still left the Volker army. He spoke saying with his American accent.

"Well it makes sense we have the manpower and forces to do this and it would allow us to end a large part of the enemy but what about the Volker army? While yes they don't have enough firepower to attack any of our strongholds they could ambush us as we are attacking Stadtung."

[Eisenven]

"It is my belief Weber, that the Volker Army is nowhere the threat of the Imperials, i have some of my cavalrymen holding them off from attacking us in the flanks for now. And while we may lose some territory to these communist savages. The Imperials are a threat that needs to be crushed now, before they can muster up more men, and prolong the war indefinitely."

Arick wiped the sweat from his forehead, he hoped that this gambit would pay off.

[Camelone]

Fearghal listened to the plan that was proposed and while it seemed like a gamble relying upon the cooperation of the Communists it could work. When the Andsed General walked in he nodded his head in acknowledgement.

"General Schafer if I may propose something. His Majesty, King Frederick, dispatched an aircraft carrier with my fleet allowing us to take the skies, what is the enemies anti-air capabilities? If we have control of the air we could neutralize the enemies armor. Also if the need arises I can have my forces make a landing in the Imperial landing area to open another front. My engineers can also build an airfield nearby and build necessary infrastructure. I would also recommend giving amnesty to any Imperial soldiers who surrender, they are probably fighting to keep their families alive and not for any ideological reason like the Communists."

[Eisenven]

Arick stepped back and forth, with his hands tied behind his back, deep in thought of the situation and of what Fearghal said.

"Grand Marshal Fearghal, as far as we know the Imperialists have no anti air except for a couple dozen M1939's, these are extremely old leftovers from the World Wars, and should be a non threat to your modern air force. The Imperials have most of their armored divisions together south of here near a collection of hamlets, and villages, a fast raid from your air force may well indeed cripple all of their armor."

Arick stops walking back and forth, and faces the three Field Marshals, with a stoic face hardened by years of commanding and battle

"You have my full permission to build anything that you deem necessary to waging war in Eisenven. It is my recommendation that we combine all of our forces and use our superior numbers to overwhelm the enemy, so i believe a separate front would be unnecessary. And have no fear, the Imperial Army will be granted full amnesty, they fight only because they are forced to, as you said, and we are no savages."

[Reikin]

"I vote we use the imperial attack to our advantage" Von Richthofen spoke "My men and I could make quick work of the communists, gaining their territory." "Additionally, where should we set up camp?"

[Eisenven]

Arick thinks for a second, putting his hand on his chin thoughtfully before continuing to speak

"Destroying the communists will be a far different, and longer affair than the Imperials. The Imperials have one city, where most of their armies are stationed, and their fat Emperor waits. The Volker Army is scattered all across their land, they could be hiding anywhere, caves, villages, farmsteads. And they don't congregate, it will take many months to destroy them "Maybe even years" but we can crush the Imperials now. Although if you wish Richthofen i can find you a good place to encamp yourselves to begin the purging of the communists, i think my forces, and that of Andsed and Camelone can handle the imperialists, or you can join us in fighting the empire, either way we appreciate your help greatly.

[Camelone]

"I see. If you give me the coordinates I will have my aircraft pound the Imperial tanks relentlessly. My engineers will set out immediately to build an airfield so that we won't be reliant on the aircraft carrier. Once we crush the forward army and blitz our way to the capital we should begin a propaganda campaign to encourage defection to our ranks. I will have my men begin disembarking here and I do think it would be wise for one of our forces to stay behind and hold the line against any Communist push. If need be I can deploy my contingent of Royal Hunters to begin an assassination campaign of notable Imperialist leaders... We could even attempt to use a squad to kill the Emperor himself allowing us to seize their tanks to use against the Communists. The Emperor is the only thing keeping them fighting correct?" Fearghal volunteered "With your permission I will begin to disembark my men and unload our supplies."

Michael deciding to speak up said.

"Well I think before we do any things else we should assess our own forces so we don't over extend our forces." Michael then contiued saying.


"since I suggested this I will start us off, Andsed is bringing in around 14,000 infantry 15 heavy tanks, 10 light tanks, 90 armored fighting vehicles, and 10 pieces of artillery. As for are naval forces we have brought 3 cruisers, 2 frigates, 1 destroyer, and a aircraft carrier which is carrying 30 fighters and 20 bombers." After finishing Michael looked at the other commanders awaiting a response.

Arick spoke shortly after Micheal was finished

"Yes, very good. In this port and the surrounding area i have 5000 men, while towards the front another 20000 occupying the various towns, villages, hamlets, and strongholds in our territory. I also have around 800 cavalrymen currently deployed at the Volker Armies border, hunting down any Partisans who try to cross. Intelligence suggests that the Imperial Army is 45 thousand strong with 500 T-72 Tank, and two dozen outdated anti aircraft guns, 33000 of their men are currently dispersed attacking our villages and strongholds, alongside the tanks,the rest are currently stationed in Stadtung, this may seem like allot but they are IL equipped, and under trained compared to your professional militarizes, i believe we can beat them."

Arick then quickly shifted his eyes to focus on Fearghal, he then asks one of his guards to fetch him the best estimations for the location of the Imperial armored divisions, after a couple of minutes of waiting the assistant rushes back into the tent, and hands Fearghal the coordinates, and a new map

"Bomb them to shit as you please, Field Marshal. Discussion of propaganda can wait until we have the capital, and i believe that my own forces will suffice to hold off the communist advance, they haven't had much luck in attacking our strongholds before, and this is our most well defended one. Although i doubt it would hurt if you left a few men to reinforce Siben, just in case."

Arick sighs

Intel suggests that he is actually living in a underground bunker bellow the Imperial Palace, which always has a detachment of 500 of his best men to protect it, at all times. We're going to need to smash through his defenses to finally be able to kill the fat piece of shit... Anyway you can leave now, although it might be good for you to tell us your troop numbers real quick"

"Very good, I shall march my men to destroy the imperial threat. Gott mit uns (God with us, our motto), But, I know how to kill the Emporer. My men have trained since the age of 6 for exactly the task, marksmanship. If we could find a way to lure him out... and we even have an RSOF (Reikinian Special Operation Force) team with us, the most elite in our military. They could carry it out!"

Arick straightens up, and faces Richthofen.

"Luring him out is impossible, the degenerate is so fat that he can barely stand! rumor has it that he lives entirely in his bed, doing nothing but feasting, giving out orders, and "enjoying' his concubines. Your men would have to fight through hundreds of soldiers to get to him, i wouldn't throw their lives away if i were you."

"Anyway, i think this meeting has served its purpose. Shall we attend our troops Field Marshals?"

Arick straightens up, and faces Weber.

"Luring him out is impossible, the degenerate is so fat that he can barely stand! rumor has it that he lives entirely in his bed, doing nothing but feasting, giving out orders, and "enjoying' his concubines. Your men would have to fight through hundreds of soldiers to get to him, i wouldn't throw their lives away if i were you."

"Anyway, i think this meeting has served its purpose. Shall we attend our troops Field Marshals?"

"That we shall" Von Richthofen walked outside the tent and faced his men. They immediately shot up and stood at attention, a disciplined force. Von Richthofen called for the officers to come forward, to which he told them the plan. Their mission was to march inland with Einheit towards the Eisenven capitol, crushing all resistance. With the 29th Jäger division are a collection of HMMWV-42 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles, RKN-789 APCs, RK-124 Main Battle Tanks, and 1 RK-225 Super Tank which will stay at base to act as mobile artillery with its two 80cm naval guns.

Michael stood up and said.

"Well if he is that fat we just have to wait for him to have a heart attack. But before I leave to go and talk to my men there is one last thing I think we should discuss. That is blockading their ports if I am correct neither the Empire or Volker has a navy correct? Well we could blockade these ports."Michael said pointing at point b and c on the map.

"This would make it much harder for anyone trying to support them to get men here. Now there is an airfield the empire have if my info is correct which could allow for them to get support by air but we could easily bomb that area as they do not have much AA weapons. This is just a suggestion what do you think?" Michael said looking at Arick.
