Would a kerosene-powered Austro-DAimler 1904 armed car be allowed?

It's still 1870 right now sow 34 years of technological advancement is pushing anything I'd like to see. So I'm slightly against it...unless you're willing to adopt the disadvantage that the kerosene currently only runs a modified steam engine rather than a combustion and piston driven system. Meaning you'll have to produce at least 3 times more kerosene and have a water system and cooling vents for the whole process. Alternatively you could run a stirling engine and have the kerosene act as both a medium for heating and the source of heat itself.

Pray tell, is this RP still open for applications as the title suggests? The RP pace seems to be on the slower side, which is fine by me as I'm the type that usually posts once or twice a day due to a very unstable work schedule. However, the amount of people that seem to have ceased to exist does worry me for the longevity aspects of this RP, though I suspect some of them may have been alt accounts that people were using?...

As such, if it's still open, I shall have an application and introductory post up by the end of today, as I still have alot of content left over from an Alt timeline RP a yearish ago that will fit nicely into this RP.

National History(2 to As Many As You Can):

The Dominion was founded nearly two hundred years ago, when the nations of Araebhun and Sinaei ended a decades old conflict by completely dissolving both sides political parties and forming one unified governing body after the citizenry of both countries rose up against their respective governments around 1680. For the next few decades, the entire focus of the fledgling nation was put into rebuilding and redeveloping the devastated cities and surrounding countrysides, with the government spending untold sums of money on truly monumental public projects which turned the surrounding desert landscape into a more hospitable place to work and live.

Centers for higher education and learning quickly spread across the landscape as well, as the demand for new technologies that could aid in supplying these construction projects with an ever increasing demand for labor and resources was never ending. The years that followed are chronicled locally as "The Gilded Age" as the standard of living within The Dominion was unparalleled in the known world, as advancements in the arts and sciences leapt ahead by leaps and bounds alongside almost unimaginably low levels of crime and poverty among the average citizenry. However, not even a full generation would come to pass before the rotten fruit that such a lifestyle sewed would come to bear.

Spoiled without end, without known hardships and a general set of morals, the leadership of The Dominion soon found itself governing over a body that had become so self entitled and lazy that day to day life had become unsustainable. People refused to work in the factories or tend to the farms and instead demanded to be given handouts from the government for doing absolutely nothing in return, taking to the streets and protesting whenever they didn't get their way. Chaos and anarchy soon followed in the wake of these massive nationwide protests, bringing the government to it's knees during what would later be referenced to as "The Age Of Woe".

During this age, all forward progression as both a nation and people ceased, as literally nothing could be done with such widespread gridlock and disconnect in both the senate and among the general populace. As the light faded from the lands, darkness took root among the populace, giving rise to a new regime that quickly ascended the throne and took control of The Dominion with an iron fist. Public squares were torn down to make room for factories, parks were re-purposed into refineries, and national lands were stripped bear in a never ending quest for even more natural resources to exploit. The once polished and pristine cities were replaced with Gothic architecture made from the regions abundant dark-steel, and forever stained black by the ever present cloud of industrial smog that an endless line of smokestacks produced.

Now, the Dominion found itself in a new "Dark Age" where man and machine melded into one, where slaves toil endlessly under the steel skies forever feeding the machine of progress and armored airships patrol through the smog ridden skies.


Economy(1-3): 3: The Dominion economy is highly cast based, and relies heavily upon abundant and cheap slave labor to accomplish the majority of it's tasks. Slaves are seen as little more then a low cost investment, and are not compensated financially which saves in overall production costs. Overseeing this labor force is a caste of highly educated and native born skilled tradesmen and women with whom are protected by a highly trained and equipped warrior caste. Both of which are ruled over with an iron fist by the administration caste, which can best be described as a "father knows best" state. As such, The Dominion thrives on importing raw materials cheaply and exporting refined good and products for profit abroad. An abundance of oil and natural gas reserves hidden under the shifting deserts also fuels the nation overall and allows for lucrative exports as well in both it's various raw and refined states.

Defensive Military(1-3)(your defenses):

I fail to see the difference here, as a well rounded military should be able to be both offensive and defensive when needed. I will say that the Dominion doctrine is centered around a combined arms mindset, where unit strength isn't measured in numbers but instead on core units of highly trained individuals (professional soldiers) who are properly supported both logistically and technologically. Basically, quality over quantity.


Technology(1-3): 3: If anyone has any questions about anything I field, I will be more then happy to produce a historical/real life equivalent that it's based off of.


Reputation(1-3)(aka infamy): 3?: The Dominion due to it's aggressive and blunt nature, blatant disconcern to industrial pollution or it's effects on it's neighbors, as well as being a slaver nation, hasn't earned it many friends over the last few decades. As such, it's pretty much well known throughout the known world for being a blight/eyesore upon the known world.
