Hope Springs: The OOC! (OOC/Open)

Welcome to Hope Springs, Nevada a small town where everybody knows everybody. The town is one of a kind literally a majority of its citizens are supernatural in well natural. Vamps, weres, shifters ghosts witches heck even a deity or two have rolled into town from time to time. The town is protected by spells to keep it away from those that wish to do it citizens harm. Most are honest trying to make a living and staying on the thin line between civilized and monster. Though some say that the town has a mind of it own taking in those that need help whether they realize it or not.


But recently there has been something in the air heavy almost palpable. Something old and dark is coming and the town may not be able to defend itself.

Welcome to my supernatural RP hope you're interested in it.

There are a few things to know about the town:
It's modern day though Wi-Fi and cell reception are spotty at best.
Most citizens are supernatural but there are a few humans that also live there.
The population is about 250
The diner and the bar are the most popular places in town. That where most people get their news and rumors from.
There are no big stores most are mom and pop shops.
Angels and Demons are very untrusted in the community. Most believe they are nothing but trouble. But fallen angels and 'risen' demons are most accepted seeing as they have no allegiances to Heaven or Hell.

Mayor Blackwell - A human (surprise there) who is the mayor of this fine city. He is in his 60s and has been mayor for the past 20 years basically running unopposed. A kindly southern gentleman though cross him you can expect hell to pay.

Granny - witch, about 315 years old, retired but does offer medical spells and potions for money. She runs the diner, please don't mess it up she will kill you, maybe...probably

Mr. Black - the local mortician, looks to be in his early 20s, not much is known about him. Just showed up to town one day and got the job after the previous mortician died. Btw that's not his name, its something the town people call him. Not that he doesn't mind.

Sheriff Lindon - a regular human in his 40s, a loyal 'dog' to the Mayor, most of the town doesn't like him, but believe it or not he keeps the town safe

Unfortunately the restaurant along with the village was destroyed in an earthquake which also claimed the life of her husband. She and her girls were spared when she had traveled back to Japan to see her parents again. She came to America first settling in the Pacific North West rain forests but finding it a bit too damp for their liking she has since relocated to Hope Springs. She runs a small Oriental food restaurant in the town.

Abilities: Having the typical powers of your fantasy-wizards, Tafi is a powerhouse of a wizard and specializes in evocation, the most offensively powerful of the schools of magic. His second specialty is enchantment, he's good at magic and boy does he know and is proud of it. He can teleport, summon objects short distances, cast powerful spells just like his brothers.

Personality: Tafi is arrogant, self-absorbed and vain due to his prodigious talent. He's an excellent wizard and he knows it, and he tends to brag and look down on people who aren't as powerful as him. However, this aloof mask hides deep insecurities because he'd been training at his craft ever since he was a child and is the family prodigy, so he feels he has an obligation and expectation to be the best. Also he harbors resentment and hurt from his father leaving that he has not dealt with as well as his brothers. Despite his faults, Tafi is very protective of his twin and loves him dearly. It nearly broke him when Kofi threatened to stop speaking to him. He even admits that Kofi is the better man. He has a deep love for his mother and brothers, and would do anything for them. He also has a bit of a weakness for pretty girls.

Bio: Tafi is the second of three children and the older of a set of twins. He was born and raised in Alfheim, the realm of the Elves that lies beyond a mystic veil in the northern regions of Scandanavia. His mother Ilune was ranked highly among the order of wizards, and being one of the few female wizards there she was a professor of magic in Ishtar Academy, the hidden academy of wizards and one of the premier magic schools in the world. Their father Sharn had disappeared on the family shortly after the twins were about six in human years, and when they turned the human equivalent of ten, that's when Ilune decided to pack up her boys and move to Hope Springs. Kofi was excited about the chance to meet new people (and Wi-Fi, even if it sucks), Tafi however was not happy about leaving home. Over the years he's grown accustomed to it, met some people he actually liked (like his brother-in-law) and is learning new types of magic...but he still prefers Alfheim over this place.

Abilities: Kofi isn't a substandard wizard by any means, but his power is somewhat tempered by his lack of confidence. He specializes in illusion and transmutation, but like his brothers he has the typical powers of a high-fantasy wizard.
Personality: Unlike his brother, Kofi is a soft-spoken and gentle soul who tries to be courteous with everyone he meets. He's studious and kind but not as extroverted as Tafi is. He doesn't tend to talk much except with people he knows, but if he finds a topic interesting he'll talk your ear off. Don't think he's some doormat however, he refuses to let anybody walk over him and always stands up for himself, although he lack's Tafi's confidence and self-esteem. He doesn't hesitate to call Tafi out on his bullshit when he gets condescending, despite how much he loves him. He's a powerful wizard, not the level of his twin but Kofi ain't doing too shabby. Overall, he just wants what's best for his family and to live a good and happy life.
Bio: Kofi is the middle child of Ilune and Sharn Letifer's three boys, and Tafi's younger twin brother. He like his brothers was born and raised in Alfheim, the realm of the elves.His life was quite a peaceful one until his father left the family, and then things started to grow tense. He and his twin did everything together and Kofi somewhat idolized his older brothers, especially the popular and talented Tafi. However, when Tafi's attitude started to change, Kofi was bothered by it and he let Tafi know. This would often lead them to arguing. He was often the peacemaker in the family, the master of conflict de-escalation. He had to be with the things that had unfolded. Kofi often had a hard time making friends at school because he was shy, and often stuck with one of his brothers. Strangely enough, he was the most curious of the Letifer children and saw moving to Hope Springs as a new adventure. Unlike Tafi and Mozart, Kofi was excited about this new place from the start, especially this thing called the Internet as spotty as it is. Although he remained close to all of his family (and has a special bond with his brother-in-law Lux), things are a bit strained with Tafi. He loves his brother dearly, although he calls him out when he acts like a shit and wishes he would go back to his old self. He's actually looking forward to living here, maybe even making a name for himself.

Abilities: Mozart is a very powerful wizard and has the typical abilities of a wizard, but he specializes in healing and teleportation.
Personality: Mozart has a fatherly and no-nonsense attitude when it comes to nonsense, especially toward his brothers, and has a calm presence. He tends to think situations through more often, but he is no stranger to emotion. He's very bookish, intelligent and fun-loving...he believes in living life to the fullest and being the happiest while you're here. His calmness balances his more boisterous husband, and he often acts as the father figure to his younger brothers, who he loves more than anything in this life next to his husband. He tries to get Tafi to straighten up and Kofi to have more confidence in his abilities.

Bio: Mozart is the eldest of Ilune and Sharn Letifer's three sons, and as a consequence actually got to spend more time with his father before he left them. His brothers would say that it's a blessing, but Mo thinks of it as a mixed bag. He has more memories, and therefore more reasons to be hurt...it has been something that haunted him ever since it happened. He attended the Ishtar Academy with his brothers when they were old enough, an outgoing and fun-loving student who also focused on his grades. He enjoyed his life in Alfheim, although the absence of his father has affected his attitude for a bit. Ilune, deciding it was time for a change decided to pack up and move her boys to the town to Hope Springs in the hopes that a change of scenery would help things. They waited until Mozart had finished academy before moving, reasoning that the twins were still young enough to adjust more easily. Although he did miss the greenery and his friends, Mozart became sullen and withdrawn. But he perked up when he got used to his new surroundings, and he had to be the man of the house (often having to adjust Tafi's attitude). It was in Hope Springs that he met Lux Andrash, a lifelong resident and drake (dragon-human hybrid) who would become his dearest friend in this town. Lux was the son of Lucy Andrash and the dragon prince Wergild, thus making him the nephew of Bahamut, King of the North Dragons and Lord of the Sky. But Lux was fun-loving and open, showing Mozart around town and had an easy and casual way about him for a prince. He was popular with Mozart's family, even Tafi, ran a tattoo parlor in the town and he gave Mozart his first tattoos. The two fell in love with each other and Lux asked Mozart out. The two would begin dating, before marrying three years ago in a small ceremony. Mozart teaches science at the local high-school and magic theory to the magical kids on the side. He lives across the street from his mother and brothers so he could be nearby and sometimes helps his husband with his business.

Abilities: Dark magic (necromancy etc.), levitation, Phasing and strong alchemy abilities.

Personality: While to most he is seen as the mysterious yet upbeat alchemist there is a lot not shown. He is never one to really show his true colours because inside he is a deeply lonely and broken soul who wishes for his pain to go away. He is also extremely intelligent and well knowledge in the arcane arts though it is known his alchemy is one of the only things that brings him joy anymore.

Bio: Andraste was born 870 years ago in a rural village in Scotland. At a young age it was found he was gifted in the arcane arts and was taken as an apprentice by a local sorcerer. Being a fast leaner he was apprenticed to his master for a period of 10 years before he surpassed him. He would eventually marry a childhood friend and have a daughter. Though with his gifts came great desire, a desire to protect his family and the only way to do this was to have more power. He would go on a conquest to gain this power but it came at a cost. His family were killed by one of his many enemies causing him to go insane and in his madness he destroyed half of Scotland. This left him broken and alone and unfortunaltey he did get the power he wanted but at an even great cost immortality. He left Scotland in shame and travelled through the known world in secrecy until around 70 years ago he came across the site of Hope Springs where he hid past and created a new life as a alchemist.

Abilities:

Immortality : He doesn't aged one bit and immune to any kind of illness, as well as the partial immunity of death, mainly that while he is immune to melee and ranged weapons, he can be killed with magic.
Centuries of Military Training : He is not a scientist homunculus and thus have become part of militaries around the world for centuries, possessing numerous skills in weapons, tactics, and training.

Personality: Cold, independent, to be expected. He is not a perfect homunculus, and thus lacking emotional response.
Bio:

Created in Europe on the 14th century, by a group of alchemists that dedicated themselves to protected the sciences and supported by the Kingdom of France. While the alchemists had a goal of making homunculus as the next evolution of humanity, some elements within the kingdom opposed to the idea of creating a perfect humanoid creature, and thus conflicts happened, not helped with the fact that French leaders pushed for the creation of perfect military-specialized homunculus. Ali was created in the one of the latest batch of homunculus, created with the purpose as an infiltrator for preparation to invade Muslim empires and designed to be closely matched the facial features of the Muslims.

But Black Death soon reached Europe and in the ensuing grand-scale disease, he escaped from France and fled to Ottoman Empire. There, he learned military training and even became part of their military, with the purpose of being an infiltrator in his mindset. Soon after those mindset was abolished and he gained the sense of freedom and independence where he travelled all across the Europe, North Africa, Russia, India, and even China.

He soon settled in the Hope Springs, about 30 years ago. There, he found himself attracted to an unknown force in the Hope Springs and established himself a job as a carpenter, in an attempt to be looked mundane in the city of supernaturals and humans.
