Rojava Free State is a neutral nation that seeks to keep the peace in its region and protect the Kurds, Armenians, Assyrians, Alevis, Greeks and Yezedis from harm by foreign intruders. The Free Kingdom Ministry of Foreign Affairs has watched with great concern the spread of Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) in the Rojava Free State, where the disease has now taken several lives. As over ten million citizens of the RFS have not yet been vaccinated against serious diseases, and the spread of MERS hypothetically could expand beyond RFS territory, the Free Kingdom’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in consultation with the Ministry of War, has come to a decision to offer aid to the government of the Rojava Free State in dealing with this threat.

As the health problems within the Rojava Free State are compounded by bad infrastructure, the Free Kingdom Ministry of Foreign Affairs has worked out a plan jointly with the Ministry of War, to assist with a range of issues:

1. The creation of a plan to vaccinate large groups of Rojavans against MERS-CoV. Part of the vaccines will be distributed directly by members of the Free Kingdom Armed Forces’ Medical Branch, other shipments will be issued to medical professionals within the RFS.

2. The creation of a plan, jointly with the Tech4Developement charity (a private organization within Allanea dedicated to improving the access of the poor and disadvantaged across the world to technology) to expand Internet infrastructure coverage in the Rojava Free State, as well as distribute tablets and computers to those who do not currently have them, with the goal of improving the access of disadvantaged Rojavans to education, Internet resources, and the online economy.

3. An operation, planned and executed by the Free Kingdom Combat Engineers and the Pipeline Corps, to build improved irrigation structures and pipelines to provide potable water to more Rojavans. In addition, money will be raised from private charities in Allanea to pave roads in the Rojava Free State (currently only 43% of the roads are reported as paved by the official Ministry of Foreign Affairs survey as returned by the government of the Rojava Free State).

4. We propose also, if the Rojava Free State agrees, a joint program between our Ministry of Justice, and the government of the RFS to ease the lawful registration of property rights to real estate, in order to bring large segments of the Rojava economy out of the shadows (currently, nearly half the country’s population owns real estate without having it lawfully registered in a land register).

We believe that, with these issues addressed, the RFS will take several steps forward towards economic improvement and progress.
