Collective Advancement Coalition: 124 seats
National Democratic Movement: 123 seats
People's Party: 62 seats
Mapinduzi ya Kijamii Mpya Mbele ya Afrika: 38 seats
Coalition talks are underway between the National Democratic Movement and People's Party.
On the presidential side, President Ikeno Amani has finished first, but without the required 50% of the vote to win outright.
Ikeno Amani (CAC): 48.77%
Jalen Chitundu (NDM): 43.61% (endorsed by People's Party)
Maulidi Kwanzaa (MKMMA): 7.62%
A second round will be held March 13, 2018 between Ikeno Amani and Jalen Chitundu.
Elections will be held in Guancaca on February 23, 2018 to elect the President, as well as the 347 members of the unicameral National Assembly. Incumbent President Ikeno Amani of the ruling Collective Advancement Coalition will be running for a third consecutive term.
