The year past has been a turbulent one as nations rise against nation and brother rises against brother, all the while money is being spend on weapons, ammunition and tools of war while schools, hospitals, and homes are destroyed and people suffer. For years the Raven Corporation has been feeding on both sides of conflict- making and selling weapons and providing aid and financial assistance to those war stricken nations to help facilitate the rebuilding of national infrastructure, pay public workers wages and stabilize economies in exchange for market rights and a slow repayment of the financial assistance and the system has been working. Over the course of 20 years the Raven Corporation has seen unprecedented growth in most sectors. Knowing this the C.E.O. of the Raven Corporation has seen it fit each year to host a retreat for national leaders and their delegation in order to have a secure place to speak frankly about the subjects of War, Trade and its cyclical nature and its effect on global economies. On the surface it looks to be a great time to wheel and deal among other national leaders, but these meetings have a much deeper reason to exist. Colderon Jason Zion is a shrewd business man and has been known for making the retreat about playing the world stage and making sure his company comes out on top by stoking rivalries, establishing trade contracts and securing trade rights with attendees though he freely encouraged all who attend to do the same.
The retreat is to take place on the Zion families private estate of Eylusia Isle- a secluded island in the northern sea of Kornosia, the homeland of the Zion family. The isle has enjoyed generations of isolation and is a pristine example of natural beauty as there have never been any electronic devices on the isle since its discovery some 200 years ago and is only accessible via sail and map due to the island being situated in a area of strong electromagnetic energy and a perpetual fog. Though if Colderon had wished it electronics would have eventually made its way to the island, but instead he has chosen to keep the island pure.
