A completely subjective opinion and one which is clearly not upheld by the World Assembly.

I am not aware of existence of any kind of current WA legislation that would define the term 'fundamental rights' as it refers to individual citizens, nor specific relation of its content, and as such, must recognise the above remark as entirely pointless.

As of now, WA doesn't seem to have an official position on that matter, thus making original argument of Auralia irrelevant, unless it was based on premises contained outside of the scope of currently existing WA legislation.

Since everyone's publicizing the Campaigns now, (And given that the Vote is basically over) I figured I might as well publish the one I've been using more recently...

Honorable delegate, I'm sorry to bother you, but I would like to appeal your decision to vote for the repeal of Protection of Biomedical Research, and here is why:

The repeal rests entirely upon lies and falsehoods, fabricated wholly by the author in an attempt to provide a basis to repeal a resolution that stands in the way of his personal agendas.

Firstly, the claim that the Resolution does not protect Comatose or otherwise incapacitated individuals: This is disproven entirely by the existence of Resolution 355, Rights of Sapient Species, which provides a definition of Sapient that requires Member-States and the World Assembly at large to consider such incapacitated individuals as Sapient.

Next, the claim that the Resolution prohibits Member-States from forbidding experimentation on Species that are not yet proven to be Sapient: Sapience is easily determinable from initial contact, due to the self-evidently complex and coherent methods in which Sapient species develop and Interact. Moreover, Resolution 355 provides a basic methodology by which Sapience can be determined that removes ambiguity from the determination.

Third, the claim that the Resolution prevents Member-States from ensuring the disclosure of Conflicts of Interest or other such potential biases: This claim is simply an outright fabrication, Scientific Standards to ensure the validity of the research, such as the disclosure of biases or conflicts of interest, are protected by the Resolution.

Now, in the interests of brevity, I will assume that you have received my original boilerplate campaign telegram, as it was sent to all Delegates, and not repeat its refutation of the repeal's claims about environmental matters.

As for the claims that certain functions of the Resolution are redundant are entirely baseless by simple definition. An archive of ongoing research is entirely dissimilar from an archive of specific innovations, an International Advisory Body bears no relation to the establishment of binding, National Ethics boards, and expanding the remit of the Biomedical Innovation Organization to include all Biomedical Research on an international level, rather than merely those including Biomedical Tissues is quite obviously not redundant in the face of an existing mandate relating exclusively to Biomedical Tissues.

Finally, I ask you to please understand the motivations for this repeal. The author has a long history of, and in this case, stated intentions, of passing legislation that will be solely damaging to all Member-States in the World Assembly. The legislation he intends to propose would allow Member-States to prohibit Lifesaving Medical Research, and give blanket immunity to any and all research personnel within all Member-States, regardless of whether or not they prohibit such research, to arbitrarily refuse to do their jobs.

I sincerely hope that you reconsider your vote for this repeal in the face of this new information, and I thank you for your time.

Repeal "Protection of Biomedical Research" was passed 10,293 votes to 9,288.

The TSP's delegate switching their vote was the turning point here.
