The Description:

The Great War. It stands as a symbol of the most dastardly development in human history, and one that was unfortunately nowhere near over by Christmas. And at the end of it all, the Germans won anyway.

A great push through the fields of Belgium, along with a strict, continued American isolationism, had pre-empted the fall of the frontline. The French forces snapped like branches in the wind. And this only made way for German troops to march deeper into the French heartland, winning battle after battle. Soon, German forces were celebrating, Paris falling to its knees, and the newspapers would be published: the Allies had failed. The United Kingdom was forced to negotiate with the Germans as a great distaste for the situation grew on the British Isles, promising them a "Peace with Honor", that had only stripped them of their vast empire and robbed them of their money. The French and British had fallen into anarchy and socialism along with the revolutionary half of Italy. Russia had descended into rebellion, the White Army only saved by German intervention, the regime replaced with an unstable, young republic. Spain and the United States ensue into chaos; conflicted by opposing ideologies and separatists. And the empires of old had broken up and weakened.

And so, that is the tale of how Germany won the world. Yet, it is not finished yet.

The year 1936 is a turning point in the history of the world. A time of both great opportunity and great danger. Tensions are growing between the German Empire and Syndicalists like the Commune of France. Exiled Brits and Frenchies, who made new homes in Canada and Africa respectively, are rising in power and eager to reclaim their motherland from the socialist menace. The empires of Austria and Ottoman Turkey are dissolving. The Balkans is fueled by nationalism and tension, Asia is giving roots to new empires, and a dispute will be solved in due time in the Italian peninsula to see whether the northern loyalists or southern socialists will win. All the meanwhile, totalism and radical socialism are spreading around the world. Fifteen years have passed since the end of the Weltkrieg, and yet old rivalries have seemed to reappear. Once single spark may be all it takes to light the powder keg...

The Nations of the World:

The world of Kaiserreich is packed with countries; small, powerless duchies to vast, frightening empires or traditional reactionaries and conservatives to socialist and ultra-nationalist radicals. Who will you play? The choice is up to you. Will you lead your nation to glory; fulfilling its focuses and ideas and taking back the land of your fathers and restoring stability and power to your nation? Or will you lead the downfall of an already-cursed realm?

The Entente:

Though the original right to power in France and Britain were stolen away by revolution, the claim to rule was not dissolved, yet, and soon after the fall of French and British power, a great new power formed in the ashes of the Entente.

The exiled heads of state - the disgraced King George V and war hero Philippe Pétain - fled to the remnants of their empire. The Dominion of Canada gave residence to the royal family and welcomed the original House of Lords back. Yet, the flame to recapture Britain is not lost; the people are mobilizing and the legislature and modernization of the change are about to take a change for better or for worst, but nonetheless a rising power. The old French colonial Africa gave rise to the National French State, the birthplace of a new monarchical system that is leading the way for a new threat just across the Mediterranean.

However, the other Entente powers are still to be listed.

Colonies of the empires - the Raj, looking to eliminate the one-third of the subcontinent that broke off and to rebuild a great dominion, the Australasian Confederation, a union of British Pacific Territory, and the Carribean Federation, a rich state that inherently possesses British Carribean territory - are another threat that only makes the underestimated Entente a problem for its rivals in the future.

So will you lead Canada back to the British Isles? Return the Frenchmen back to Paris and show the Germans they won't win again? Will you take the Indias to the steps of an Asian powerhouse or make Australasia a vast, rich Pacific dominion? The choice is up to you, so choose wisely.

Mitteleuropa:

As the sun had set for crumbling states abroad, Germany stood strong on its pedestal, its knees buckling, yet still on top of the world. With a vast colonial might under its fingertips and puppet regimes from the Channel to the tips of the Black Sea, it would see the light of day for years to come. But, things weren't as peachy as you would think...

The sun smiles upon Germany, blessing it with puppet regimes and colonial growth. Yet things are slipping out of grasp. There are rumors of an economic meltdown and of communists in Ukraine. Lithuanians are steadfast in their old desires of reforming the old Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The Baltic Duchy can be seen drifting to the Russians. And finally, the high autonomy of its colonies - like Mittelafrika and the Allgemeine Ostasiatische Gesellschaft - is leading to their possible independence. Will Germany fall?

However, there is no doubt that the Germans will survive; their extreme military power and huge influence promise them a reservation in the history books forever. So will you revolt against Germany? Or, help lead it to greatness?

The Third International:

The fall of the old, royalist regime of Britain and France marked the gateway of a new popular ideology: the syndicalist and communal way of thought. As it swept through the world, the internationals were looked to as conventions and guidelines of the ideology amidst the confusion that had followed its rise to power. The third international would no doubt solidify these nations and keep the revolution alive and well.

• The Socialist Republic of Bolivia
• The Chilean People's Republic

The international, originally founded by the syndicalist French and Italians, had seen much popularity post-Weltkrieg. Revolutions in Central America, India and South America - Mexico falling to socialists at the end of the civil war, Belizian revolts leading to socialists in Centroamérica, and the breakup of the Raj letting communists found their own government and in India, along with many others such as South American syndicalist regimes - meant the leaders of the international had found themselves with a variety of assets following the Marxist way of thought.

As they find their way across the world and into weaker governments, they pose a threat to the reactionary and traditional systems of the past. Will you lead the revolution to burn across the world?

After the revolution of 1925, the Royal Family and other exiles found refuge in Canada. With the support of the Conservatives, they established a semi-official government in exile, in hopes of one day reclaiming the Home Islands. All is not yell, however. A.B. Bennet's conservatives lost the 1935 election to Mackenzie King's liberals, who, with a loose coalition of 'Progressives', hold a slim majority in parliament and seek to assert Canadian parliamentary sovereignty against the growing power of the British Isles and Crown. With the global political situation deteriorating, the stage is set for intense conflict both at home and abroad.

The Kaiserriech roleplay follows through different versions and the 'OPs' are working to update to add more flavor to the roleplay as it progresses. So far, modifiers, events, news, and focuses and goals have all been worked on and developed throughout the whole of the roleplay. Mechanics:

There are a number of different elements played into the Kaiserreich roleplay and its mechanics. Pay close attention to these different modifiers to boost or worsen your nation; to help our sour its relations and interests. Check out goals for some of the best parts of the mechanics with the most productive and flavorful goals and modifiers are implemented. Additionally, news events and events play the same role and decide many things such as modifiers, effects, and long-term influences or national ideas for your nation. So what are you waiting for?

Focuses:

National focuses help a lot with any direction you're trying to go towards; there's a lot of bonuses and specific paths that do the most progress and play out the most throughout the game. In order to start a national focus, just message me or ask in the out-of-character thread and convey that focus through up to one to three consecutive posts. If you need any help choosing a focus, I can easily hop into a game for you, take a screenshot of the focus tree, and send it over your way for you to engage your next goal. Focuses trigger modifiers and events depending on the focus, so use them wisely.

I will post about them being started or completed and I shall dictate the posts it takes to complete it or the pre-requisites or modifiers.

World News:

World News display the most important and major of events that can be game-changing. Some are preventable while others are not. The only way to find out which are which:
explore the game. I will dictate these, too, and will be sent in order of waves.

These are the most important events and unlock locked parts of your focus tree, so pay attention to them.

Unlike world news, these events are nation-specific and are supposed to cause individual modifiers and special effects should a certain thing, choice, path, or national focus be completed or taken.

These are some of the most important parts of the game and dictate a lot more of an in-depth effect on your nation.
