How it works
Think of a story, and when you have a broad idea of the subject, write a summary or a review. You decide how long it will be, but consider that to gain votes others will need to read it, therefore writing only a few lines would be probably a good idea, but ehy, if you think you're good and can catch the people attention you're free to post the full novel. Think also of a title and the author's name, which should preferably come from your own nation; if you want to use you're nation's language for the title feel free to use it, but add a translation as well.
You can sign up until January 9, the 10th of January the voting will start. Only those who registered a story can vote, you will have a maximum of 10 points to distribute as you wish (Ex. 8 points for book A, 2 points for book B). The voting part will be over on January 20.
The winner will get a 400x600 image of a medal (preview below) with the author's name on it and the sweet sweet envy of the other contestants.
A bit of ambience
For the first time the renowned writing competition "shâthiel sor pôro", that always inspired the nation's litterature, launches an international edition to encourage overseas authors to come to sahsahlah and to give new life and healthy variety to the local publishing industry. The name changes in the english "northern wind" but the hosting city remains the same, shêthalsoràithen, on the cold northern coast of the island of sahlìa.
As every winter the proverbial northern wind hides the city under a white blanket of snow, the city is far from the central mountain range that divides the island in two, the cold winter temperatures of the region have always kept people away. The local community is very united and welcoming although a tourist needs to understand the reserved nature of the residents.
Outside the city, with its low-rise, old buildings, there is nothing for many miles. Only an ocean of water and one of high snowy trees can be seen.
While the medieval castle of àithen will host the event, participants will be able to relax in this ancient city of culture, in the tearooms and their large, crackling fireplaces, or by the solitary, icy waves of the ocean.♫♫
