The year is 2076, and the world is in need of heroes more than ever. All around the world, organizations such as Talon have been wrecking havoc on the populace. In other areas, acts of brutality against Omnics continue to become more and more common. The Omnics look for people to help them, and all they get is more beatings and murders. Bandits and criminals run rampant on an international scale, and Russia is experiencing another Omnic Crisis, like the world had done years before. If this took place only years earlier, the world would have the help of the international peace keeping force known as Overwatch, the peacekeeping force that formed in the midst of the old Omnic crisis. However, the days of Overwatch, and its black ops branch, Blackwatch, were at an end. The world was void of heroes, and full of villains.
Until now, that is. A call has been sent out. Not only to the former members of Overwatch, those who fought in the first Omnic Crisis, but also new heroes, the ones who wish to bring the world to a better place. From all around the world, heroes and vigilantes flock to Watchpoint: Gibraltar, a shell of what it used to be, but a useful base nonetheless. This is where people like you come in. the vigilantes, the heroes of old, the ones with no place left to go. The time for Overwatch to rise again has come, no matter that the world governments say. Now, are you with us, or against us?
