Neueburg's Reichspräsident Johann Brunner urged the people to vote. "Voting is a civic duty. Go and vote!" Brunner wrote in an opinion piece published in the Neueburg Zeitung newspaper. "Every vote counts - your vote counts," Brunner asserted. "People who don't vote allow others to decide the future of our country." The results will determine the distribution of the 560 seats in the Reichstag.
GENERAL ELECTIONS, DECEMBER 2017 - List of Political Parties
ZENTRUMSPARTEI (Center Party)
The Zentrumspartei is a centrist party led by the current Reichskanzler, Horst Kreisler. The party promotes centrist economic and social policies. It supports a free market economy and claims to be the only alternative to the extremist, ultra conservative agendas of the Arbeiterspartei and the Volkspartei. At the moment, the party holds the majority of the Reichstag in coalition with the Sozialdemokratische Partei.
ARBEITERSPARTEI (Workers Party)
The Arbeiterspartei is a newly formed political movement led by eccentric leader Ludwig Böhmer. The party is not represented in the Reichstag as of today. It promotes National Syndicalism, an adaptation of syndicalism to suit the social agenda of integral nationalism. The Arbeiterspartei seeks to build an anti-individualistic society based on statism and led by a strong leader. The movement's economic policies are heavily influenced by Socialism and anti-capitalism.
VOLKSPARTEI (People's Party)
The Volkspartei is an ultra-nationalist party. Its leader, Herbert Rutter, is in constant competition with Arbeiterspartei's Ludwig Böhmer due to its populist agenda. As opposed to the Arbeiterspartei, the Volkspartei promotes a free market, capitalist economy based on private initiative. The party also promotes an increase in military spending.
SOZIALDEMOKRATISCHE PARTEI (Social Democratic Party)
The Socialdemokratische Partei is the oldest party of Neueburg. It is currently led by Minister of Education Ronald Peltzer. The current party platform of the party espouses the goal of social democracy, which is seen as a vision of a societal arrangement in which freedom and social justice are paramount. According to the party platform, freedom, justice, and social solidarity, form the basis of social democracy. It believes the coordinated social market economy should be strengthened, and its output should be distributed fairly.
