In the universe, there exists special pockets of space filled with spheres of a substance only known as Aether. Normally this substance is rather destructive and only used for feul by beings beyond our ability to understand. However, in one small corner of the universe, a pocket of Aether was impacted by a strange metal sphere only known as the Construct. The Construct contained the Aether within a containment field, however it's impact tore into the elemental realms beyond, allowing in powerful entities. These beings would become known as Gods on this world, and it was theirs to protect.

Hello, and welcome to Aetherium, a god RP centering around the ages or chapters of Aetherium, a now contained pocket of Aether far from the sight of the great beings that govern the rest of the universe. The premise for this rp is to provide a more constructed sandbox, for more experienced RPers looking to build a world from the ground up. Each chapter in the history of Aetherium will be a separate IC and tell a different story, for example, Chapter 1 will tell the tale of the first Elemental gods and the ordering of the world. Each god will "evolve" over time, adopting new elements and roles as more and more is created. For example, a god of earth might eventually become a warrior god of royalty as the story evolves. Each chapter will have an end goal and the idea is for player's to work towards that goal to achieve this. Once the world gets a bit more expansive you will be able to work against as well, all you lovers of dark gods of evil.
Rules (As of 12/4/17):
Core 3 rules: These will never be changed as the RP progresses.
1. Have fun. The point of this rp is to have an enjoyable time while rping the creation of a world.
2. No godmodding, metagaming, etc.
3. Whatever I and/or a co-op says is final. This RP will be using a three strike system and if you use your strikes, you're out for good.
Variable rules for apps and such that will change as time goes on:
1. Gods may have 1 domain at their inception, and it must be some kind of primordial element or constant (Air, Death, etc. Darkness and Light will not be allowed at first and will either become available later on in chapter 1 or be goals to strive towards later in the RP. Magic however is availible from the get go.)
2. No creating new species, sentient beings, complex concepts like Law or Government. These Gods are primordial beings and new, they don't even know how to communicate to each other yet. This chapter is about how the world came to balance after all these new beings were dropped onto a forcefield surrounding a sphere of magical oil.
3. No inherently evil gods quite yet. Most if not all these beings should be true neutral, though exceptions for more chaotic elements like fire and earth.
4. I'd prefer no expressly human forms quite yet. For chapter 1 these are primordial beings freshly created. They don't know what Humans are.

Since there seems to be some confusions over the Primordial Elements side of things, here is a list of currently open Primordial Elements/concepts
Time- Self Explanatory here, you are the god of time
Void- Basically the eldritch horror god of this world, you are the god of everything that isn't. A bit confusing, but Void is a somewhat important role that helps keep reality in check
Cosmos- Ruler of the space in between the elemental realms and godly realms and reality. Basically the one who presides over the Astral Plane.
Death- Another Self Explanatory one, the gods are "Alive", so there must be a god to cancel it out. Note that you won't have the powers to kill gods and your domain will be a bit abstract for a bit if you choose this.
Aether- The "5th Element" and key to much of Alchemy, it also makes up the core of the planet. The easiest way to explain it is "magical gasoline". Your role is similar to those of the other elemental gods, like fire and water.
Air- We still need an air god
Thanks to House of Judah's suggestion, I will be opening up the ability for people to share domains, provided the gods go in different directions IE: Two water gods splitting off into an oceanic god and the other becoming the god of storms.
