The Story so Far...
Every man a homeland. Every tongue an ear that understands it's speech.Those were the words that had essentially governed humanity since the beginning. 225 years ago today, 125 influential families from across the globe which opposed those words met together, believing in ushering a new order to the world. What followed soon was the two deadliest wars in history and a long period of cultural imperialism. It was the greatest facade ever conceived in human history. Everything was set up for the collapse. On March 8th, 2017, the United States Dollar experienced an unprecedented plummet to values never before seen. The euro and pound soon collapsed as well. On December 1st, 2017, the King of Saudi Arabia was assassinated by what many believed to be an Iranian agent, leading to the first wide scale war between the Sunni and Shia powers in the 21st century. The conflict had not been contained between the two nations, and ended up drawing in virtually every Muslim majority nation on the planet. The Chechens once again fought for independence against the Russians, and the Ukraine's Donbass region was annexed by the Russians.
On New Year's, 145 Texan nationalist militants took over Austin, becoming the first major event in a series of conflicts categorized as "The Wars of American Secession". The Islamic conflict has reached it's peak, with the once rich oil nations now resorting to throwing whatever they can grab at the enemy. The refugee crisis in Europe quadrupled, and the Balkans became littered with war lords and the lowest scum of the Earth. Eastern Europe fought for their dear life as spillover from the Balkans and the Middle East began to slowly increase in numbers, and communication between political groups began to devolve into violence. The cities of Western Europe had devolved from the beautiful historic sites to cesspools of criminals. In Asia, the Thai military junta faced massive uprisings, along with anticommunist rebellions in Vietnam. Myanmar collapsed, with the country being torn apart by religious zealots. The Chinese suffered horribly from the collapse of the Dollar, and the rivalries between members of the communist party led to what we call now The Final Chinese War, with anybody able to shoot a gun fighting in it. North Korea had collapsed with a military coup against the mad Kim Jong Un, bringing an end to the Kim Dynasty. Both the Koreas were now too poor to maintain their own nations, and had collapsed. Japan followed suit as well.
On July 4th, 2018, the United States collapsed, and soon the Americas descended into anarchy, with cartels and gangsters controlling the cities and highways of the two continents. The effects of the collapse was felt throughout the world, and on July 16th, what remained of the Iranian government launched what was once secret nuclear weapons at Riyadh, Dubai, and Tel-Aviv. The weapons never hit their target, and Tehran was subsequently nuked by an unknown organization.
This unknown organization later called themselves the "New World Order" and envisioned a Pan-Earth nation. They promised unity (and food) to anybody who joined them in their noble quest for peace. It's funny, the second they revealed themselves to the world, the fighting stopped. The elusive terrorists were "magically" found and killed, politicians of every nation either disappeared or committed suicide, and people from all across the world picked up arms against their former nations, all in the name of a Pan-Earth nation. And it worked. The Final Revolution, as it is nicknamed now, lasted only 5 months. On 2019, Australia, the last nation on Earth, collapsed from within, as the forces of the "New World Order" dragged the Prime Minister onto the streets of Canberra and executed him on live television. He was dubbed the Sacrificial Lamb.
Now, it is January 1st, 2139. After the establishment of the Terran Federation, the world is under the authoritarian rule of a government who has made it clear that it can do whatever it pleases whenever it wants. Religion is banned. Pirates roam the Pacific. Rebellions seem to pop up in every continent. Rivalries between corporations usually result in at least thousands dead. The fate of the Federation is on a delicate balance, and the smallest grain of sand can tip the scale.
