Formido Et Incrementum

The world's economy is booming, with major growth on all sides as the nations of the world expand and strengthen. Our time of quiet and growth is not to go unhindered however, as a new terrorist organization, known only as the "Red Syndicate," develops in East Malikay. This rogue nation threatens all that we hold dear, and has ordered several attacks on both the Maikayans and the Latinovians. The two nations have delared open warfare on this terrorist group, seeking to eradicate them and restore world peace. Meanwhile, Narnagaesia attempts to send SOC men behind the lines of the supposed Red Syndicate but to no avail. Tensions rise and we are all left with one question, what will become of our future if this organization isn't stopped?

The Atlantic Arms Race

Meanwhile, in an attempt to combat the devious Red Syndicate, Narnagaesia and Latinovia have launched into a full scale arms race. Narnagaesia, the current leading arms manufacturer, extended a hand of help to the Latinovians in this time. The Latinovians, however, rejected the Narnagaesians help and stated they would be making their own arms. This has lead to a full scale arms race between the two nations, researching and manufacturing all kinds of brand new firearms to combat the terrorists.

The Latinovian Rebellion

The Latinovian administration has been able to get away with neglecting their citizens for some time, but the people have had enough. A large number of the Latinovian citizens have risen up to free themselves from the oppression of their government. The people refuse to work, having a large affect on the Latinovian economy. The administration struggles to stamp out the ever elusive resistance, who are determined to overthrow them. The rebels have destroyed several power sources around the capitol, and the city runs on reserve power. Only now, with the rebellion at it's gates does the Latinovian Administration recognize the true power of the people, who have been motivated by their hopes to free their children and families from this corrupt giant that looms over them. The people think they have won, but the real war has yet to take place.

Marching on the Capital

We have joined and organized the full rebellion, we have weapons, vehicles, and several explosives. We will be marching on the Capital tonight, we released birds, mice, and small animals with explosives attached to them from all sides of the city yesterday. The animals will have gone back and nested or made dens by now. Tonight we will detonate the bombs and take hundreds of lives. I feel a certain guilt in doing this to these people but it is what must be done. We must secure out freedom from this menace. The Latinovian Rebellion
"The Latinovian Rebellion has indeed gone to far, they have now mounted an assault on the very capital of Latinovia. The senate has decreed that the United Republic of Narnagaesia will assist the government, who are on the verge of collapse from loss of men and supplies. We will send supplies to the Latinovian Government, and we will destroy this rebellion to create a better tomorrow for the people of their country!" This is a speech that the Narnagaesian head of state, Mr. S. Vallet, gave in the early hours of this morning. Narnagaesia has since sent it's fastest supply ships to Latinovia, carrying food, weapons, and a battalion of fully trained Narnagaesian soldiers. Behind them follow the fully loaded battleships of the Narnagaesian fleet, prepared for the eventuality that the Latinovian rebels will dispatch ships in an attempt to prevent supplies being delivered to the government. The exact number of ships our nation has sent however, is of course classified.

The Narnagaesian Naval Fleet has finally reached Latinovia, with several ships, thousands of fully armed soldiers, squad leaders fully equipped with the TALOS armors, and all wielding our newest firearms. The troops will be put under direct command under the Latinovian military, unless otherwise instructed by out own people. This may well be the largest naval dispatch in Narnagaesian history.

The Long Term Venusian Probe Project
We have made new strides in the project to create a long lasting probe on the surface of Venus. We have altered our design for the probe, and changed up our materials as well. We will be using a carbon steel and tungsten alloy for the shell of the descent module, with a support structure made up of several triangular pyramid type shapes. To ensure that our circuit boards and electronics are not fried from the sulfur induced 800 degree heat, the entire inside of the structure will be hermetically sealed and insulated using a new type of aerogel. This will keep the electronics cool enough to keep them functioning in the harsh environment. The outer layers of the probe will contain different cameras and devices to monitor and perform tests on the Venusian environment, including a remote or AI controlled carbon steel arm. This arm will grab and take rocks of Venus into the module to test them. The probe will remain on Venus for one month before we send a special recovery ship back for it, which will be made of similar materials but with a larger than average fuel supply so that it can serve it's only purpose of landing next to the stationary probe, grab it using yet another electronic arm and shoot straight back off the planet and return to earth immediately.

Narnagaesia Researches New Nuclear Batteries for Smartphones
The NRDA (Narnagaesia Research and Development Association) has announced that they are close to releasing a new type of nuclear battery that could power a smartphone forever. No need to worry, the battery is not a mini nuclear fission reactor, that would be insane. The battery uses beta particles as opposed to gamma radiation to power the battery, meaning it can be easily stopped with a thin piece of aluminum. The main current issue with the technology is the strength of the aluminum, and that you could just drop the device and leak radiation. The solution to this, thankfully, is rather simple. The inside of the device's electronics will be insulated with carbon nano-tubes, which will greatly increase the tensile strength of the whole structure. Of course we also want more assurance that radiation won't just get through accidentally, so instead of making the battery totally from aluminum we will make it from a thin sheet of lead which will have an outer and inner coating of aluminum. This will add mass to the battery, and the technology takes up too much space to be practical for anything as small as a tablet or smartphone, but we are certainly ready to put these batteries inside all kinds of laptops and computers, meaning that desktop computers never even have to be plugged in anymore, saving us electricity. As we speak, deals are being made with companies such as NTech to sell these batteries all over Narnagaesia in the form of laptops and computers, of course as long as they pass a long series of design tests to ensure that the battery will never become dislodged or damaged. The NSP is also working on integrating these batteries on to many space missions, including researching applying this new tech to ORADF.

We interacted with the people there, most of which were planty happy to be brought into the republic, so there hasn't been too much of a problem. We are currently in the process of constructing government buildings and infrastructure as well as naval bases on the island to transform it into a full fledged Narnagaesian state.

A ship from the Latinovian Navy had a navigational malfunction and ended up going way off course. They ran aground in Lua Pelea, a small archipelago in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. They contacted home, and had reinforcements sent there. Latinovia decided to annex the islands and incorporate them as an autonomous province because of the strategic value and the resources. The natives were happy to be defended by Latinovia and be able to participate in the government that controls them. Latinovia especially did this because Narnagaesia laid claim to Socotra island, and Latinovia wanted to one-up Narnagaesia. At least we think that's what happened.

A new soda company in Narnagaesia has taken the nation by storm, Spezi. This company's main product is called SPezi Cola, described by consumers to be a mixture of orange soda and everyday cola. It is rare that you will walk through one of our glorious public parks without seeing someone with a bottle of Spezi in their hand. This new company has introduced the new "Spezi Challenge," where the consumer is meant to drink as many of the highly carbonated bottles as possible without stopping to breath. The Spezi company initiated this challenge themselves, for the support breast cancer, and says they will be donating 3% of their total proceeds this year to curing the disease. This new soda comes in a telltale orange and blue bottle as shown in the below image.
